Really enjoyed my experience at Dusals for a sit down dinner celebrating my MILs birthday. We visited on a Sunday about 6 pm--it started to fill up quickly, which just made for a lively experience. It is located in a strip mall with a nice amount of parking. We were immediately seated with no reservation --not sure if they even take them. Francesca was our server and she was amazing. Very personable and warm. She definitely elevated the experience. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious! From our salad which seemed to taste even better served in the old school "wood" salad bowls.. very well balanced side salads with a delicious honey mustard dressing--and I'm a dressing connoisseur lol. I ordered penne vodka with chicken and it was really tasty. Al dente and the sauce was just the right amount and delicious. My husband really enjoyed his pesto penne and my MIL loved her salmon dish over a bed of spinach. Dusals will be on our radar when we're in the area. read more

It's been a while since we came here, so we decided to come here for a quick dinner. We ordered half sausage & half eggplant. This was pretty good. Service was quick and friendly. Will return to try other items on the menu. read more

I don't think I've stop to give one of my gf favorite places to eat. Literally drive 40 mins to get Penne Vodka, will not eat it from anywhere else. Anytime we eat here it's always a pleasure and a reminder of home. Been coming here for over 10 years and still find myself traveling here, the only down I give it, it doesn't have burgers but other than that the service always a wonder , from grabbing a slice and sitting in the booth to byob and having a nice table in the back. Bring the family here read more

Went there on December 18, 2025 with a friend for lunch, had a meatball Parm that was out of this world. But when I asked for another glass of Sprite. I was told I'd have to pay for it, which was no problem, but the way just gave me a half a glass was not happy. All she did is talk about how her Christmas party on her other job was canceled. Wasn't a very attentive server.. just have to be in the area and stopped in. I wish I knew her name, but I don't. I know she was an older woman blonde hair.. ‍‍ read more

Just stopped in to pick up a pie to go. The pizza was prepared quickly and efficiently, was hot, and all ready for me when I arrived. Classic plain pizza well done was cooked as we asked, and tasted as expected in a pizza pie. Good cheese to sauce ratio and nice, crispy crust. Friendly service too. I'd like to try some of their other food in their dining room in the back. Good pizzeria to have in the area! read more

Tasty eats with disappointing service. I called and was told my take-out order would be ready in thirty minutes. When I arrived it took over an hour for my food to come out. For an extra 40 minutes of wait time I think there could have been better customer service offered, like maybe a coupon or a soda. When my order finally came out they packed everything up but left out part of my order. Nothing more frustrating than waiting forever to get your food, only to get home and find that food you have paid for is missing. Next time I'll be sure to check before I leave. Luckily the chicken parm made up for it. It was super cheesy and came with a large portion of cutlets. Pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe was also tasty and served in a flavorful garlic sauce. Calamari was a hit too - crunchy and perfectly fried. They left out a side of red sauce with this which was also frustrating. Solid Italian eats, but unfortunately it's hard to get good service here on a busy night. read more

This was supposedly shrimp scampi. It tasted like they washed red sauce off the pasta and stuck some boiled shrimp in with it. Went right in the garbage. Gross. read more

Hands down best pizza in the area. If u like veggie pizza this pizza is delicious but honestly all of their pizzas are great. We've been going there for years. While we have also tried other places we always say "not as good as Dusals"! Try it you'll like it. read more

They have the BEST primavera pizza ever!! Always friendly and helpful. Food is always ready when they say it will be ready to pick up!

Update: March 23'- wow! Cutting corners? Very Shocked at how the pizza was super floppy. I had to crisp what I could. Def not something customers want to do when they don't want to cook. Def gone down in texture. I hope they gain some thicker crust in the near future. Love their pizza But wow shocking when we ordered the chicken franchise. The thinnest and smallest 3 chicken pieces we have ever seen and the pasta wasn't even filled with only a slight lemon flavor. And no salad???? Most places always offer a salad with the meals... Sorry but this was one of worst we have had. Def not ordering that again!!!! I guess stick to what u know is good. read more

Buono! Buono! Buono! Every single Menu Item is prepared fresh! Being a New Yorker originally, I understand the reason Dusal's of Freehold doesn't deliver. Make it FRESH and with Pride and Consistency and they will come. Home made Italian Cuisine family style, done the old fashioned way. A Neighborhood Gem. read more

The best chicken cacciatore I've ever had. Great friendly service. Highly recommend for just a plain old fashion great meal read more

Great food and service! The place needs a bit of renovation, but most importantly is the food which was good and happy to see they keep Parmesan cheese in the fridge unlike other places where they leave it on the table for the whole day. read more

Great local Italian pizzeria/ restaurant. Walked in about 7pm and the place was buzzing with patrons. Luckily we got a nice table right away. It was packed but unbelievably it was not noisy at all. Lots of choices and specials. Entree includes salad or pasta unless you get a special and it comes with both. BYOB. Service was excellent. I shared my salad and my husband shared his pasta. Very hearty and flavorful portions. I had the chicken cacciatore and hubby had the chicken masala. Dessert is a yummy tartufo. We will be back. read more

DUSAL'S - Always perfect! Amazing meatballs/sauce/pasta. Delicious hot italian bread along with fresh salty-creamy butter. The salad is dressed perfectly and lightly with oil and red wine vinegar. The same server is always here when we come and she is EXCELLENT (and she usually waits the whole dining room!) The bus people and others helping out are also fantastic. It is beyond reasonably priced. We absolutely love - love this place! read more

Pizza is good. Great place for quick local pizza. Staff is friendly and very attentive.

Dusal's is a great and highly recommended pizzeria in Freehold, New Jersey. Their pizza is enjoyed by many and considered one of the best in the area. This restaurant is divided into two sections. The first section when you walk in is where you would pick up pizza orders and it has some casual dining tables available. There is a waitress in the section as well to help bring you your food and drinks that you have ordered. The back section is more of a fine dining area where you can have a full service meal. It is nicely decorated and you can expect to get attentive waiters and waitresses. We have dined in this back section many times and have always had a satisfying meal and great service. The last time I was there I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo with clams and mussels and it was excellent. The warm bread they serve prior to your meal is to die for. The staff in the front section of this pizzeria where you would pick up takeout orders work very hard to get everyone their orders as fast as possible. One thing is for sure this place is very customer service oriented. I would probably give this place five stars but their dinners can be inconsistent sometimes. Their chicken dishes can be dry at times. But I highly recommend this place as a top pizzeria in the Freehold, NJ area and if you haven't been there you should give it a try. read more

Bread was super light and soft on the inside. Outside was crunchy. Came out hot and fresh. Same for the pizza crust, ordered a single Sicilian slice, bread was melt in your mouth. Fettuccine Alfredo, generously portioned and also ordered with 3 large meatballs. Very rich and creamy sauce. Meatballs were juicy and moist. read more

Great Meatballs. So nicely done. You can't miss on this menu. Great go to pizza Any meal I've had is fresh. Been going 20 years now.

I've been here a handful of times, friendly staff, clean and quick. But, this is Jersey, there's nothing that differentiate Dusals from any of the other Italian pizza restaurants. But, that's okay, it's a good slice! read more

My family has been enjoying Dusal's for over 20 years. My mother while pregnant with me and my brother loved Dusal's! Food is always 10/10. Customer service is great always. I had Dusal's catered for multiple parties and holidays. Always great and fresh. This place is great!!! read more

Always the best Italian food around. Whatever I've ordered has been good for over 30 years . Definitely a Hidden Gem if you don't know now you know. Bon Appetite read more

My family and I have been going to dusals for over 25 years. We discovered it when we moved here and were yearning for good Italian food. we are Italian so we set our parameters high. I found out that many people from our development would go there every Friday night and so we went. It is a pizza place upfront with the restaurant in the back. Eddie, The owner, is a very good guy. The hot antipasto is outrageous as is their calamari. In all the years that we've eaten there, I have to say I've never had a bad dish. Their waitress, Francesca who has been there for years, is always very helpful and a great server. Their Red sauce is great as is everything else on the menu. Their sautéed spinach reminds me of what my mom used to make. Try it, you won't be disappointed. And PS their prices are very reasonable. read more

Dinner menus are perfect for everyone's taste. From hot wonderful dishes to pizza everything is cooked to perfection. I've been going there for many years and still love it. Their pizza is perfect. I've said so often that if I owned this business For just one weekend I'd be happy and wealthy. Many times we would keep driving around the parking lot waiting for a space to open up. Sure do love this place. 6 stars!!! read more

Typical NJ pizza joint. There is a small dining area in the back but they have a sign sayin "no outside drinks" so I guess a BYOB dinner with wine is not an option. The two slices of sausage pizza I got were not bad, not great. I'd give them a 6.5 on a 10 scale for pizza. read more

String bean marinara delish, warm fresh bread, sauce is pretty good. Friendly atmosphere

Some of the best pizza I've had! Tasty sauce with thin crust and a reasonable price tag.

Absolute favorite italian pizzeria in the area. Do yourself a favor and get the chicken parm. There's nothing like it. So thinly cut and crispily breaded. The sauce is FANTASTIC and the cheese is melted perfectly. I refuse to get chicken parm from any other restaurant because of this one. The Italian classic are all good here. The specials are hit or miss but overall, you want have a disappointing meal. Love the side salads. So fresh. The pizza has changed over the years, unfortunately, but it's still a solid option. read more

It's a toss-up between this place and Krispy pizza (either Freehold or Old Bridge, but I think Old Bridge is a bit better). Dusal's is a bit thicker, but very tasty and I lover their eggplant parmigiana sub. My go to place! read more

I've eaten in and ordered take out 5 times over 2 separate trips to the Freehold area. I enjoined everything I ordered. Fast friendly service, great price and yummy food. I had calamari (at least 3 times it's awesome), Ceasars salad, meatball and sausage parm sandwich and pizza. I'd order every item again and add calamari if I could finish it all in one meal but the portions are way to big, which is a good thing. read more

that food is delicious and their sauce or gravy for their chicken Parmesan, or any of their pastas is out of this world

Home catering was a big disappointment. We ordered a variety of pasta and seafood trays for Christmas. Baked ziti pans were 2/3 full. Mussels marinara was prepared in a spicy sauce instead of mild, as I ordered. Shrimp parmigiana was dry and the shrimp were cooked well done. We've been customers at the restaurant for 20 years. When I returned to complain about the order, the owner wouldn't come out of the kitchen to talk to me. The counter man said there's nothing they can do about the order. Poor customer service. read more
