Food with plastic

I order food! And there was a huge piece of of plastic in my food! I called and I wanted them to come take the food back and the manger refused to send his driver for it! Now I am out a dinner !

Pizza

We were looking forward to pizza for family night, what a disappointment. Crust was hard and rubbery. Our little toddler who loves pizza and was excited, spit it out and refused to eat it. Called to let them know with the expectation of at least an apology and received disbelief despite being an established customer. Certainly not going back there again. To those who are looking forward to a family pizza night, I would recommend you reconsider ordering from here.

From an order of 6 stromboli rolls. They use A LOT of oil
April N.

I ordered 2 slices and an order of Stromboli rolls to-go for lunch. All the items were extremely greasy. The box was soaked through with oil before I even got home (4 minutes). Unfortunately, I got sick that evening into the following morning from eating this. The service was fast and friendly though so I gave an extra star.

Food wasn't same as the Little Silver one, also service was not any good. Smirks is never good for customer service, and unnecessary.

All their food is delicious. Being a former New Yorker, it is the only pizzeria that reminds me of home. Highly recommend

Along the densely wooded highway along Howell Township, you will find this small pizzeria…read more Website: 7/10 Its bare-minimal design brings you to the home page, where you will find the specials. I could not figure out what the prices were on the menu items. The color scheme had the basic Italian flag colors that stood out on the beige-and-brown background. Brand: 5/10 The backstory behind Lino's Pizza is that it is a family-owned establishment in operation for more than 35 years according to the website. Though, while the website does use an Italian chef as a mascot, he does not have a name. The logo outside was fading and the floral wallpaper crinkled with age. With that being said, I did appreciate the Italian aesthetics of the pizzeria in terms of the interior architecture with the entrance leading directly to a line before the counter. Concerning related merchandise, I immediately noticed that Lino's Pizza had their own soda brand distributed by Island Girls Beverage available in a handful of flavors. Ambiance: 7/10 The basic eating area sufficed with plenty of tables with multiple chairs each, with plenty of space separating two rows of tables. The television was a bit too intrusive. Service: 10/10 The staff was amicable and maintained good rapport with us. Wait Time: 10/10 I did not have to worry about waiting for our meals, since they delivered a free basket of bread and butter to our table before our meals came. We did not experience any interruptions. Food: 8/10 I ordered the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap with Lino's Pizza brand of Tealicious soda and with complementary bread and butter. While it is meant to have a cold wrap, I did find a thin strand of hair inside, which automatically fails the preparedness. The Tealicious soda was fresh from the refrigerator. For a wrap with messy ingredients like bleu cheese and hot sauce, the wrap managed to retain its form until the very last bites. The wrap had the pleasant, earthy smell of buffalo chicken. The bleu cheese gave the Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap a warm texture, while the hot sauce definitely delivered heat that managed to have a tanginess without it overwhelming me. The tomatoes, lettuce, and onions also complemented the overall dish. The chicken bits and the wrap itself were a bit unassuming. The Tealicious soda, which is carbonated black tea, definitely had a unique taste despite the underwhelming carbonation. The Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap and the Tealicious soda did leave satisfying aftertastes. I will say that I never had a buffalo chicken wrap, and it was not a terrible experience. Worth The Money?: 7/10 I hoped going to Lino's Pizza would help alleviate my despair, hopelessness, and mid-back pain. I will say that while we came in the moment shortly after opening, we found plenty of options to sit and not a lot of ruckus all around. It only alleviated me just a little since I did not feel any immediate flare-ups. The strongest pathos to the brand is its status as a family-owned business spanning many decades. Indeed, every family in the country is a manufactory within itself, as Thomas Jefferson wrote to John Adams. However, if it were to continue to operate, it would need to evolve with time. The establishment would benefit with updating many aspects, such as the menus, the interior, the exterior, and the mascot. I did like how they relied on a soda distributor for their soda brand. I express curiosity as to whether they sell them in packs, and about the sources of the ingredients for their menu items. Sourcing from the abundant local farms throughout Monmouth County would definitely apply the local multiplier effect to Lino's Pizza and Howell Township community. Can I say the overall price was worth two Yelp dollar signs out of three? Probably not. Rating: 4/5 Stars Despite the underwhelming status of Lino's Pizza, I still have hope in a family-owned establishment like this. Recommend To... Anyone who lives nearby that highway where Lino's Pizza situates if they are looking for catering which the establishment offers. I would also recommend it to anyone looking for a local soda brand.

Brand: 5/5 Red Moon Pizza has had a presence in Aldrich Plaza for more than 50 years managed by three generations of the family. The name, Red Moon, was derived as a calque translation of an old Italian song titled "Luna Rossa." It also includes a backstory about the family's origins in Brooklyn and bringing the Brooklyn-style pizza to Howell Township. I also appreciated the simple logo design of the red moon, which definitely works with a pizzeria, and looks up-to-date. The interior design definitely matches the theme of the pizzeria with the canvases of the family and the brick walls. I love the ceramic bowls decorated with intricate, Italian design. Website: 5/5 It has a very solid design, for every aspect of the website, from the design to the menu items to the backstory, works for the business. It goes beyond using a simple template, for you have options to explore a blog section constantly with a monthly entry including tips and historical facts. Ambiance: 5/5 I appreciated how the booths practically gave you your own insulation, since a wall separates the entrance from the main dining area. It uses a lot despite having a narrow space. The dim lighting provides just enough light, while also not having an overwhelming intrusion. Likewise, the pop music playing over the radio did not get too loud. Service: 5/5 We were well-accommodated and the staff patiently answered the questions I had. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not wait long for my course to arrive. Food: 4/5 I ordered a small bowl of Antipasto, consisting of salami, capicola, sharp provolone, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, giardiniera, and onions, with a side of oil-and-vinegar. The well-prepared ingredients make the bowl tolerable to eat. Nothing poured out of the bowl and every vegetable looked and tasted fresh and rinsed. Although I do think that green olives have too much of a zesty taste, I did manage to eat many of the ingredients with little difficulty. Worth The Money?: 4/5 I did think that the brochure and the menu items did mislead me. I wanted to try the hot Antipasto, but realized that due to the green moon crescent next to it on the menu, it may be served at night. It would help Red Moon Pizza if they specified it on their menus. I was not upset that I did not receive hot Antipasto, since I needed to eat more Mediterranean cuisine for mental/physical health reasons anyway. The family always experiments with sauces and it would definitely inspire curiosity as to what kinds of sauces would become available in the future. I am glad that they offer smaller versions of their menu items, since it would help anyone save money, especially if they want to try new foods. They also buy their ingredients from smaller farms and farmer markets, while also buying meat from Boar's Head. Nonetheless, I will say that Red Moon Pizza maintains its relevance with the rest of the community after 50 years. The type of customers that give Red Moon Pizza hope are the customers who came as children, then grew up and had children who come there. I can see how people would grow up alongside Red Moon Pizza, since the ambiance matches the food perfectly. I will say that the price was ultimately worth it. Try not to let the past reviews influence your decision to eat here--especially when those reviews offer short or subjective reasons for their low scores. Rating: 5/5 Stars When the red moon meets your eye, like a big pizza pie, that's amore. Recommend To... Those who want to eat at night. I can clearly imagine eating at Red Moon Pizza as being a vibe (as the kids say these days).

I also do appreciate the flower that stands behind the name of the restaurant as the logo. However, I do think that the fancy aesthetics works too much for the restaurant to the point of exclusion. I confess that I have held reluctance in frequenting L'Olivia thinking that the prices would not be the only things that would exclude me. Website: 5/5 The subtle touches such as the faded images in the background and the entrance of the sections as you scroll down make L'Olivia's website easy and good enough to navigate. I especially like the B-Roll footage of the establishment during its busy hours. Most of the menu items do not have images, however the simple yet effective color scheme outweighs these minute issues. It offers catering and showcases the events taking place there. Ambiance: 5/5 From the opaque tiles and walls to the intricate light shades above, these parts of the establishment gave the experience a soothing vibe. Also, every booth and table had the right amount of space to separate them. I can imagine even in busy, hectic days the ambiance would suffice anyone. The mostly soft classic rock songs playing over the radio, ranging from U2 to Neil Young to the Eagles, made the experience satisfying at the right volume. Accompanied with the rest of the ambiance, the cushy seats and backs of the booths would have made me fall asleep. Service: 5/5 Even before entering the establishment, I felt accommodated. The staff made sure that I got my order specifically tailored. They also brought themselves up to technology with the Clover option of cash or credit, and receipt or no receipt. Wait Time: 5/5 I had no interruptions throughout the time I waited for my order. Food: 5/5 I ordered the eggplant parmigiano entree with beans and potatoes, while excluding the salad and pasta. The eggplant slices held their forms while maintaining a softness so succinct it made cut it with a soft knife easy to do. The well-cooked meal gave off a warm sensation, from the robustness of the eggplants to the filling sauce to the tangy cheese. The potatoes and the beans had a crisp taste. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The food represents L'Olivia well, with its prominent Italian influence making it worthwhile compared to any chain eatery like Olive Garden. Honestly, I cannot tell if the food or the ambiance had the best presentation. The time it took to take my order and prepare it felt appropriate, for I managed to write nearly half a page before it arrived, and nothing in the establishment felt intrusive. I will say that the eggplant parmigiano in a good mood throughout the day, while the ambiance suited me during my writing. So, I will say that the food outweighed every other aspect. As noted before, I thought I would feel unwelcome based on the prestigious aesthetics, but it turned out that my fears had no foundation, since I felt accommodated throughout the experience. The website can in a way satisfy you with its descriptions of Italian dishes in plain terms without coming across as condescending. I did think that the eggplant parmigiano entree had a high price. Would I say that the overall experience made the food worth it? I would absolutely say so. L'Olivia would definitely serve as my first choice if picking an Italian restaurant near me. I do not have any major suggestions to improve the experience. Rating: 5/5 Stars I feel hope for L'Olivia Pizzeria and Ristorante. It may not be the only ristorante in town, but it occupies its own niche with its uniquely soothing environment. Recommend To... Anyone preparing an event or a celebration, especially since the establishment is BYOB.
