    Jersey Burger
    Robert S.

Here in this part of Howell Township, you will find a sports bar that provides you with a good meal and a good time watching the games. Brand: 5/5 Chapter House is a restaurant bar located in Howell. While the aesthetics have a standard quality, the wine-red color scheme percolates throughout them. I did think that the entrance to the establishment had interesting form, since it involves stone steps. When you walk inside, you find yourself in a narrow hallway towards the main dining area. Website: 3/5 It immediately brings you to a section of the main page with a solid, wine-red color, which brings the score down. It is also pretty slow to navigate when you first come upon it, and the About Us page does not tell you anything about the establishment's backstory. The website does give you a glimpse at the images that show the specials that Chapter House has to offer, though only three images exist specifically for the menu items. Wait Time: 5/5 Our orders experienced no delays or interruptions. Ambiance: 5/5 As expected of any sports bar, you have the option to either sit at the bars or at the tables, which had well-spaced placement. Just like any sports bar, you have plenty of options of viewing multiple televisions of multiple games. It can get noisy as expected, but I knew what I was getting myself into and did not feel bothered. The seat felt comfortable and the table had enough space for our orders. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Jersey Burger, with a well-done patty, pork roll, American cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, with a side of chips and orange juice. While the patty did have subtle amounts of rawness, it had a mostly well-done texture. The buns barely held their forms just eating them. The taste definitely adds spiciness from the pork roll, while the American cheese barely manages to make it tasty. The lettuce and tomatoes had a more profound flavor while the cheese had more texture. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to get our orders right without any issues. He asked me specifically how I wanted the burger cooked, and came back to ask us if we needed anything. Worth The Money?: 5/5 Chapter House offers a menu selection involving burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and other meals that match the brand of the sports bar, for they have enough caloric absorption for every spirit; and the Jersey Burger has to include a pork roll. I would like to see it reflect off the website more, beyond the images of the menus. The website would also benefit with a view of the bar itself (perhaps a navigable panorama). Though, the website does not bother me as much so long as I rely on Yelp, but having an updated website helps tremendously. The Jersey Burger was prepared for within the appropriate amount of time, and eating it within the ambiance of the bar definitely fit, almost as though I started losing myself into the Jersey Burger. The service involved managed to get the food right. As such, I can say that the experience felt meaningful and I did not regret coming there. The ambiance reflects bar brand without showcasing it as a seedy hive of villainy. Waiting for the food did not feel cumbersome, and the staff make you feel at home. Considering the ingredients needed to make the Jersey Burger, and including the chips and cole slaw, I will say that I would have gotten this meal at a higher price elsewhere. I do think that the price is worth it, though personally I do not drink as much so I would not make Chapter House my personal choice. Rating: 5/5 Stars I enjoyed coming to Chapter House. Recommend To... Any locals looking for a quick meal.

I can't even remember the last time I had been to the Chapter House. Must have been back in the 4th or 5th grade but boy was I impressed! The Chapter House aka "The Essence of Howell". This resturant has it all: friendly staff, comforting tasty, flavorful food, good music, reasonable prices and a welcoming atmosphere. Not to mention this is the local Howell joint that people go to! If that doesn't say enough about the "Chapter House" I don't know what does!? My friend and I ordered a few dishes to split. I started with the New England clam chowder. It was your typical clam chowder but it was hot and tasty to have on a cold evening. We then got our appetizers: a Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla and the Bonzai Shrimp. I LOVED the Bonzai shrimp. It was extremely tasty with the perfect spice kick! The Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla had the perfect cheese to chicken ratio! We then ordered the penne vodka for our entree and it was TERRIFIC! You would never believe that a little resturant off Route 9 would have a delicious vodka sauce but they certainly do! They load up the penne vodka with extra cheese which makes it just that more scrumptious!! I would 11/10 recommend the Chapter House to Monmouth county locals who haven't tried it yet or to anyone traveling in the area! It is truly a wonderful experience!

HOWELL: The Chapter House has been a staple restaurant of the town for almost 30 years and they have recently improved their outdoor patio! Friendly, leashed dogs are allowed outside! There is a heater and, when the weather is better, there is a tent! The food is delicious and the menu is huge with a variety of casual/American-style food. There's also a nice selection of beers including some local breweries and cocktails. We had fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day with our awesome waiter, Rory, and talking with all the friendly staff! Definitely worth a visit with your pup!

I haven't been here in maybe 4 or 5 years but never reviewed it before. When I walked in I was fairly shocked because they completely rearranged the interior. There is a very large rectangular bar where before was kind of odd bar setup; this is much better. I noticed a local and friendly crowd at the bar. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere in there and the friendliness of the bar staff. The food was decent too considering it's mostly bar food, but entrées are available. I liked the tap selection with several craft offerings including NJ beers. We shared the calamari, which was average. I tried a piece of thin crust pizza and found it very good. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with potato salad which was also very good. I will be back considering it all and how close it is to home.

The atmosphere is very bright, more of a family dining setting during dinner time. It's not a place with a real romantic flare. The is a large bar area, that seems lively and bright. There is a separate restaurant area, you have a mood choice. The food is pretty good. I've visited twice, tonight, i had the mussels with marinara sauce that came with great grilled garlic bread. My waiter Ryan was attentive, pleasant and friendly. He recommended the bahama mama, a great choice! I also tried the seafood platter, it needed moe seasoning for my palate. But a sprinkle of salt was doable. Def. a go back! The review is for the food and my waiter experience, not the lighting. If you're looking for dinner lighting, it's too bright.

Located on busy Route 9 South in Howell, NJ, Chapter House has a great bar but passable restaurant. For an appetizer we had the crab meltaway, "a special blend", but couldn't really tell what the blend was trying to be. Pretty tasteless. Their burgers are good but the onion rings were overdone. A nice place to stop for a snack or light lunch while you are out but nothing special.

My wife had ordered the beef sandwich. We debated getting something off the kids menu for my son but he's only two and it was like $12 and we figured it would be worth just giving him some of what we ate and that actually sufficed. If your child's older probably would make sense, but for a little one, juice isn't worth the squeeze.. The food came out pretty quick, and it was really good. I really liked my Ruben. It was a closed face sandwich but they put a fair amount of meat on there which you can't complain about. The inside of the place was clean and what you would expect of a bar. The sit-down sitting area didn't seem too large but but large enough and we were there. We had the section to ourselves. The bar is actually pretty large and has amplementing in it. All in all, not a bad stop. If you're in the area it would be worth checking out.

He told us everything is made fresh and when he said the turkey and roast beef was made in house I had to try their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which was made with their roast beef. Well, it was fabulous one of the better ones I've tried served with fresh cut fries and a pickle. John also mentioned the Tuna Melt was excellent so my wife gave it a try. Let's just say he didn't steer her wrong, she loved it. Got it with fresh cut sweet potato fries also very delicious. This place will definitely be a go to for us every time we're in the area.

Part One: Sunday This review is for two different visits…read morethis past week. One was for this past Sunday. We had Randi as our server and as first time visitors to this Sea Girt location, she helped us get acquainted with the menu and the restaurant as a whole. We were scouting it out for the following day to watch the Knicks Finals game. The restaurant is loaded with screens! They have larger screens on the wall and smaller ones all next to each other above the bar. And they pipe in the game sound once the game starts! So all boxes were checked off for us. We also had a delicious lunch. I had the Apple Salad with grilled chicken. It was fresh as could be, huge and so delicious. One of the best salads I have had in a long time. My husband was just as happy with his Caesar Salad and hamburger patty. He raved about the hamburger meat and we both ate every morsel of our meal. A great location as we just had left the beach and were starving! Randi's service was top notch and she is super nice and friendly. Matt, the Manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was OK, which was great to see. Part Two: Monday The next day, we watched game 3 of the NBA Finals at Tommy's. Now we're already starting to become regulars! We had Julian as our server. Another great Tommy's employee! Turns out he went to high school with our son! Small world. It was our first time watching a game at the restaurant. We had a huge booth and plenty of room. It was drink special night on Monday, so we got 1/2 price specialty cocktails, which was nice. We ordered bar food this time - - wings, brussel sprouts, Caesar salad and margarita pizza, all of which were very good. Very impressed with the wings, that are baked and come with onions and peppers on top. Julian kept our glasses and bellies filled and, even though the Knicks lost, we had an amazing time at Tommy's for the game. Thank you Randi, Julian & Matt for a great week at Tommy's. We will be back soon.

The servers were very helpful and friendly, they guided me through all my questions about menu choices.
