Frankie G's on rte 70 in Toms River is excellent. Tonight we ordered catering for 10 people. Everything was delicious and everyone praised the cooking. We have used them before. Prompt delivery, good customer service, reasonable prices. After we used them the first time, most of our friends have used them for their parties. We started with an antipasti salad, then served chicken franchise, eggplant rollatini and sausage, peppers and onions. Plenty of food and had leftovers on everything. Additionally, we also like their pizza very much. Basically, it is a pizza store setting but has excellent food. Highly recommend. read more

Always thought food was decent but customer service is awful! We've been ordering for the past several weeks and probably spent a few hundred dollars. Not to mention all the food we've ordered along with catering. We ordered 2 entrees and I asked if I could get soup instead of salad. I said I would pay the difference. I was told no you'll have to pay for a whole soup! Would not budge and after spending all much money, we are done! For a few bucks you're going to nickel and dime a food customer who has spent $100's at your place! Too many good Italian restaurants nearby to bother with them! So this review has changed over the last few days. In from out of town, I was urged to go to this joint for one specific sandwich (that I regret not taking a picture of) from the great folks at Jim Curley GMC. I also got a slice. Slice was a 6 out of 10 at best, and at the time I gave the sandwich a 6 out of 10 but they must put an addictive chemical in their vodka parm on garlic bread sandwich because it's grown to a 9 in my taste buds. Overall the place is a 3 star place for food, service, and interior, but man alive that vodka parm sandwich is delicious. Credit to Andrew from Jim Curley for that recommendation. read more

The place was very clean. They had a lot of options to choose from.. the service was very good. I had ordered a hoagie and it was a unusual hoagie that I've never had before and it didn't say cheese on the menu, but it came out with cheese so I couldn't eat it so the place was generous enough to make me a new sandwich without cheese that was so nice and this sandwich was amazing. It was the best sandwich I have eaten so long.. eyes came out wonderfully crispy and amazingly hot. They were perfect. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD. First time ordering here and last!! Ordered a few items for delivery. I added a side salad to my entree and it was not in the box. We called and told them we don't want to inconvenience them by coming back just to drop off a salad but we will take a credit for it next time. The girl on the phone had to put us on hold multiple times because she didn't know how to handle the situation. She said they would give us store credit. Then she said hold on and when she came back she said "the driver remembers delivering to you and said the salad was there." I told her well I am telling you it wasn't and she repeated it again. After going back and forth, she said she would give a credit for next time and I said "ok that's fine, what's your name?" And she hung up the phone. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. And I am almost positive she was talking to the owner each time she put me on hold so he should be ashamed of himself for allowing that. The food also was just fair and they have NO idea how to make pasta fagioli soup - it didn't even have a tomato base at all or ditalini .. what is that!? Will not be going back and you shouldn't either. Also, when speaking to my sister about it, she mentioned how she also would never go back because she found hair in her food there before. Frankie G's pizza in Tom's River is delicious. Our last time though the bottoms were burnt and I couldn't get past how the black stuff tasted. I hope it is a one off because their sauce is delicious and every pie flavor I have had there is good, usually. Hawaiian, cheese, cheesesteak, sausage, veggie all good. I recently had the fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken & broccoli, it was delicious! I order from them frequently and I'm truly never disappointed.

I realize that this is a new business but the basics are important to survive. First, they make you use an app to order. Not necessarily a bad thing but something went wrong. I ordered one thing and got another. I checked my order to make sure I entered it correctly and I did. Somehow the receipt I got with the pizza had the wrong item on it.... which ended up on my pizza. CLEAN THE OVEN... you must occasionally sweep the oven or all subsequent pizzas will have burnt residue from the previous pizzas. This was the first time I visited this place and I'm not sure I will go back- it wasn't cheap and it was pretty bad. Proceed with care. read more

Ordered from here and was kinda disappointed the pizza was under cooked and too much cheese. It had no consistency to hold up. I had to toaster over the pie to get it crispy. So for my taste and liking needs to be cooked more and less cheese! read more

I am so glad the pizzeria I used to use is no longer the same and that I had to move on the find such an awesomely better place to use (obviously Frankie G's)!!!!!! My husband ordered a chicken parm sandwich and asked the woman answering the phone to make sure that it is cooked. It was cooked and he enjoyed his sandwich. I ordered chicken Florentine and the chicken was pink. The food looked delicious but the chicken was pink. RAW Unfortunately, I will never order any food from this place again. We have tried this place three times and unfortuately everytime I have ordered food there it wasn't good. My husband called and explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone. I'm from California and every time I come to New Jersey I make it a point to stop here. The pizza is always good and the order comes quick. What I also really like about this place is the staff. The owner has been there each time and he is a sweetheart. Very personable. As a matter of fact, the entire staff is very friendly to everyone who enters, and they clearly have repeat customers because they seem to know many of the folk that come in and greet them like family. Ordered pizza for delivery for the first time from Frankie G's to my place of work off a recommendation from my manager last Friday. I ordered using their website and it was quick and easy. The pizza arrived quicker than the quoted time. I ordered the Sicilian Grandma pie. It wasn't quite like the description on the menu but it was good none the less. The crust was a little over cooked for my liking so I just didn't eat that part. The total after tax and tip was $27.45. It's a smidge on the high side but it's hard to find good pizza in the area that also delivers to the warehouse in the business park where I work in Lakewood, so I'll still pay it. read more

This restaurant has disappointed my family numerous times. I have given them so many chances to redeem themselves, but I will never order from here again. A few years ago, I ordered an eggplant parm but was delivered a chicken parm. I gave them another chance a few weeks later and they made the same error. Since then, I hadn't ordered from them again out of frustration. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to give them another shot. The food was pretty good, specifically the chicken francese, but the bread tasted stale. Today, we ordered chicken francese and two orders of gnocchi with vodka sauce. The food arrived in a somewhat timely fashion, and the delivery driver was very kind. The chicken francese was delicious. Unfortunately, after taking the first bite of the gnocchi, it was evident that it was not cooked properly. The gnocchi was way too soft, almost like a mushy mashed potato texture, indicating that it was certainly overcooked. Because the texture was so unappealing, both of the entrees of gnocchi were thrown away. That was a complete waste of $30. This cannot be considered a decent italian restaurant if they are unable to properly cook a simple, staple italian dish such as gnocchi. Do not waste your money here for mediocre food and service. read more

New owners have taken over. We ordered a pizza yesterday and I'm sorry to say it was probably the worst pizza I've ever had. There was no sauce at all, and the crust was dry as a bone. Catering order was disgusting! The cook should be fired! I had to apologize to my dinner guests! I had a catering order for Christmas and it was so bad! The sausage from the sausage and peppers was rubbery like it was boiled first, very little peppers, very little flavor! The meatballs also had no taste, no seasoning except for the taste of pepper! Where was the garlic and cheese seasoning? The penne vodka sauce was bland. Overall the worst Italian food I've ever tasted! Don't waste your money! read more
