The eggs were well cooked, with four pieces of meat, a very generous portion of hash browns and a rye toast that is just simply the best in the area where it is the same as I remember from 30 years ago. Relative to staff and facility, it is definately not a newer contemporary facility that many of the restaurants are in the area but is a tad more dated/rustic. Having said that it is defiantely clean and being well maintained where I was totally fine with the environment. Relative to staff, it felt like being at home as you could clearly hear the staff talking/arguing in the background (in a friendly way) where you normally do not hear that in most restaurants in the area. My only gripe, which is fairly significant for me, was after giving me my first cup of coffee they never returned to top it off or refill it during my breakfast which is a big no no for me and really a deal breaker. Not sure if this is the norm but if this were to happen again I probably would not return. For the purposes of this review I did not ding them on this but if it were to happen again I would not return. Overall good food at very reasonable prices is hard to beat and assuming my refill issue was a one off I would definately return in the future.

Their bagels are on the pricier side, but they are large, fresh, and delicious. I've tried my classic order (sesame, scallion smear, lox) and one of their bagel sandwiches (eggs, bacon, tomato, cheese), which are very hearty. They have breakfast and lunch options. They were out of the chicken salad when I stopped in, their egg salad was very good though. The were hustling on a Sunday afternoon, a really hard working staff here, but the staff who helped me remained friendly. I'm excited to try some of their more creative options.

The Morning Stimulus (two scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado spread, red onion, tomato, melted cheddar cheese, and I get mine on an asiago or everything bagel) is my go-to breakfast order. Trust me and add a hash brown on it for extra crunchy texture. The staff is friendly. The inside is tidy with a handful of tables if you want to dine in, but they package everything very well if you take your order to go. We got the Italian and the destroyer, both did not disappoint very tasty very fresh. We sat at the end of the bar that you could actually see into the kitchen and we had one bartender seven customers and four people working in the kitchen which was very impressive. This isn't a rinky dink operation I think I could come back here for a group event and know that we wouldn't wait forever. Kudos to you guys for bringing this place up to standard!
