Good food, friendly service, fair prices, nostalgia decor. Can be crowded at lunch hour

When I walked in it smelled like a Deli shop I knew I was in the right place. It was my first time there and she wakes me through the menu and the specials. I like you can get ANY sandwich on there hot, cold, or toasted. It was a number of people in the small sandwich shop but my sandwich was made fast and efficiently. I ordered the Dilly More toasted and it was everything I been wanting and more . The dressing they put on there was soo good and the sand which overall looked as good as it tasted. 10/10 definitely coming back if I'm in the area read more

This place has a cute atmosphere and friendly staff but there is not table service and everything comes packed in takeout. If you are expecting a traditional deli, this is more of a cold sandwich place. They do not have a grill so even the reuben comes on toasted bread. Sandwich was OK and the soup was clearly canned. This probably great for a quick sandwich pickup that's not fast food but there are definitely better full deli options in the area. read more

You walk in the door and you see a vintage deli and smell the makings of something mouthwatering. The sandwich menu is extensive, plenty of decisions, not a one a bad choice. If they don't have what you want they are prepared to make you a custom sandwich. For me it's all about the Reuben. They use Russian dressing instead of Thousands Island and my bigggest "beef" is that I need to be there between 9 and 3 tomorrow because I'm coming back for another. I'm busy and my meals are usually grab and go. This was one of those days. I ordered a full/regular Italian sub. What I got was a hot dog bun with a large chunk of lettuce (removed later) and a little bit of meat and cheese. A hot dog bun!!!! I love this place, it's decor takes you back to the 1950's, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are awesome, so much meat on them it's hard to get your mouth around them but totally worth the effort. I always get the Dagwood, the bread is so soft and the stack of ham and turkey makes it into two meals for me, I always get a side weather it's the potato salad, macaroni salad of one of the cookies they offer. It's worth the stop if your in the area, I'm sure you can find something on the menu that will fill your belly. read more

We really wanted to like Dilly Deli and feel bad for giving a bad review. Cute ambience and slat of the earth owners/employees. But, the tuna melt wasn't a melt and the tuna:mayo ratio was way too much mayo for my taste. We didn't like the Russian dressing and the Ruben was swimming in it. read more

if i could i would rate this place a 4.2! great vibe had a lot of character the workers are kind and understanding and you can tell that they connect with their regulars more than most places. the menu is super malleable so it is fairly decent at accommodating for any dietary restrictions. the prices are pretty standard but still steep for what you get. some inconsistency in quality but never bad enough that i wouldn't finish my meal. great place great food! read more

Smaller deli with antique looking decor from older pop culture. Food is amazing and portions well worth more than they charge!! Super friendly staff and great customer service. Have been here for lunch a lot and have never had a bad experience!! I love the Dagwood sandwich which is actually enough for two people but I tackle it anyway lol!! Ran in for a quick sub to go and it was just ok. They were really nice people and the sub was your average Italian sub. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. However I would rather give my money to a local business rather than a chain. So if there really isn't much difference....mind as well go here. read more

I was excited to try this new "deli" by my house. I had a real taste for a Reuben so I ordered one and casually asked if it was grilled. When they said no, they did not have a grill, I was rather taken aback. I changed the order to a Turkey Supreme. After eating it, I must say I'm pretty disappointed. It was a rather bland sliced turkey, Cole slaw, Russian dressing that I'm guessing came from a bottle on an onion roll that I regularly buy from Meijers (looks exactly like it anyway). Nothing special. I may try again, but tomorrow I'm going to The coney island to get my GRILLED Reuben. read more

I stopped in knowing I'd get a Rueben big enough to save the other half for my lunch later, instead I got a sandwich my 5 yr old nephew could devour and still want more. I later thought well for $6 I got what I paid for. It wasn't that good and they nuked it in a microwave so unhealthy. Wish I would've got a Rueben from the coney next door or Thai especially considering I still had to go get Thai so I wouldn't starve at work later. I love the Dilly Deli! The sourdough bread is fluffy and the meat is piled a mile high! The vintage decor is a must see in and of itself - it's like a retro little diner. The food is incredibly fresh. I had the fresh fruit and it wasn't soggy or gross, like some other delis serve - it tasted like it was freshly cut right there. Also, the baked potato soup is a must-have! I can't eat dairy as of late, but I've had it previously and it was incredible. The staff also deserves a shout out - they were so nice to my toddler (high fives all around) and fawned over my baby. Can't wait to come back! read more

I miss Dilly Deli. I used to come here once a week when I worked in the area and love their chicken salad sandwich. They use good quality whole wheat bread and the sandwich was always generous enough for me to get 2 meals out of it. As others have mentioned, the chips are overpriced for what you get, but that sandwich is worth every penny. No frills environment but the service was pretty decent. Good lunch option. read more

I gave it a shot, despite the reviews. I should have listened. I ordered a sub that was supposed to be "stuffed" steamed roast beef and onions, and cheddar. What I received was a pre-packaged and sliced 3 oz. or less portion of rubbery roast beef, no onions, and american cheese... microwaved. The side order of chili was bland. The best part of the meal were the .50 cent bag of fritos for $1.50. It was the worst $10 I've spent on food in awhile. read more

Eek! Their grill is a microwave! I foolishly went there before reading reviews, but wanted to confirm that they're still sans-grill. I opted for an Italian sub, which tasted like cold cuts put in the microwave. I could have gone to the next strip mall over to Mr. Pita for the same thing, and saved myself $2. read more

Love this place. Super nice staff and a at-home feel in the restaurant. Soups and sandwiches are great and you will never leave hungry. The Dagwood or any hot sandwich on an onion roll are my favorites. Navy bean soup is also great if it's on the menu that day! read more
