I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Jersey Mike's. I do enjoy their subs. Slicing meat and cheese to order is always a good thing. Even though their toppings are limited (even small delis often have things like roasted red peppers and pickles, neither of which Mike's typically have), I want and like all they provide. It does feel, though, like their subs are smaller than they used to be, which I guess is the way of the world sometimes. They can be made a bit messy and sloppy, but you've got to appreciate the quantity of meat you get. Both iced tea dispensers - sweetened and unsweetened - were bone dry. Why are these even on the counter if you're not filling them? Also interesting - when I ordered my fountain drink (Pepsi products here), I asked about my cup, and the person who cashed me out said, "They're right here, just take one," and then left the register to wait on another customer. So do they even care what size cup you take? Fountain drinks are, of course, big money-makers for fast food chains, so I guess as long as you order one, they don't care too much beyond that. A staff of 3 behind the counter kept a long line from forming at lunchtime. The dining area was quite clean. If you're in the area and want a sub, this is an okay option. read more

i've been a lunchtime submarine sandwich person in my entire life. I generally always went to the very well-known national brand, and was mostly happy with it. Recently, I was flying back from Florida, my flight was delayed around dinner time, so I searched out some food. This was in Orlando airport, so the choices were practically endless. After browsing, countless establishments, I happened upon Jersey Mike's subs. I ordered one of their turkey, special subs, when I opened up the sub, it seemed there was 3 pounds of meat on it lol. And it was not that pre-sliced gelatinous so called meat, it was legitimate real turkey. I am now a jersey Mike's customer forever. read more

We had an experience with the Western Ave, Albany NY on Thursday. This is the second time we have had an issue with this "branch" manager. he was very rude through the whole process. we order about once a month. we order around 15 subs. He refused to go over the orders with us, told us if anything was wrong with the sandwiches after pick up, they would not be making it right. we had to go through Corporate. he argued with us on the time of pick up. we gave them 24 hours notice when placing the order. We have been doing business with this store for years and never had a problem. Brittney and everyone has always been very accommodating.. He, "the branch manager," as he kept telling us is the reason we will never do business with that store again. I must note that we ordered from them last month and when I picked them up, they had not included our order forms that we gave them upon ordering. I asked if I could have them and he snapped at me,they NEVER give them back. I said "yes they do, we always get them back.". he said " no they don't". as I said before, this "branch manager" has no business being an employee, let alone a manager. it's too bad, because we like all the other employees there and they are very good at their jobs. the subs are so good. Let me begin by saying this was a first time experience and was also a last time I will go to this location. We went in after 1 pm to avoid lunch crowd. Unsuccessful. Waited in line 15 minutes before ordering. I ordered roast beef regular size . The provolone was sliced so thin you couldn't taste it. If I couldn't see it I would not have known it was there. The cutting area was a mess. I was surprised there were not bugs because they would have had a feast. The young woman adding the veggies was great and very generous with them. The cashier was friendly and competent. The sandwich itself was ok. Definitely not worn the $11.95 I paid for ,what in my opinion, was a half of sub. The napkin container was empty. Not really a big deal. But when I saw the person who was operating the slicer first wipe his nose on his lower forearm I was not happy. Then as I watched him wipe the slicer off with a towel, use the same towel to wipe the counter around his area with the same towel I was ready to report it. He proceeded to do that several times. Did I mention whatever had been on the counter was pushed to the floor?? For a first time customer this was bad as it is for any customer really. I will try one of the other Jersey Mikes in the area hoping it is better only because I have a gift card I have to use. I have had better subs from a local pizza place, Subway, and local grocery stores. read more

Was out Crushin some work and stop by for a bite to eat between jobs. The place was clean and lots of parking, but the best part of this visit was the staff. The people working were friendly efficient and did a great job making my beautiful, fulfilling sub and as always I got the extra juice. Will be back. Great job! read more

Rude, mess up on every order and when you bring a coupon that is to make right on the order they don't accept. Do not eat there.

Very disappointed with my lunch on the Day of Giving at this particular Jersey Mike's. The floor behind the counter and meat/cheese fridge was covered in scraps and maybe paper towels. The counter where the meat and cheese were being cut and placed on bread was filthy. The counter around the condiment serving area was covered in mayo, oil, vinegar, spices and god knows what. We watched the guy slicing meat wipe the machine and counter with same towel and wipe his nose with his hand before making other subs. No one behind the counter had hairnets or gloves on! And then there was no flavor to the sub itself. read more

I stopped at Jersey Mike's on Wolf Road for lunch. I ordered a Regular#2 Jersey Shore's Favorite with ham cappacuolo, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, hots, pickle, banana peppers and oil & vinegar on a soft light chewy sub roll. The deli meats here are sliced to order. When I go to pay, the cashier asks if I want to pay by card and tip. That is not an appropriate question since I will see the tip option on the screen whether I'm paying by card or paying cash. I go to the Hudson NH location and they have never directly asked me for a tip. A tip depends on the attitude and efficiency of the service. Also, DoorDash drivers I know picking up food here will not ask for tips but can gauge how much tip they will get depending on how far they have to deliver to and run their vehicles into the ground for low base pay. If a DoorDash driver asks their customers directly for a tip which is untactful, they can expect a bad customer rating. Also, this restaurant should pay their workers better so they won't have to depend on tips. This is on Jersey Mike's for charging higher prices than other area sub shops. Enough rant. As for the #2 regular sub, it was what I'd expect for a good tasting deli sub, a bit messy to eat. I also like their grilled steak subs too, which are grilled fresh to order, so it takes a bit longer. read more

Picked up an order yesterday and I must say it was the best sub I've had from this store. Kudos to the man working the day shift on 1/23. The app points for this month are better than any other chain especially when none of the Subways honor coupons because they are independently operated. The ambience is pretty standard. It's a sub shop so it's not great and wondrous. It's got seating and it looked semi-clean so for that it wasn't horrible. The garbage did need to be emptied because there was only one garbage in the whole entire restaurant. The food was very good. I enjoyed the sub. It was delicious, and that was one of the main reasons why you go here. The one problem I did have was the Service the person who is making my sub was very good. She was attentive. She asked what we wanted and she was good about it but it's a team effort, and the other parts of the team were not quite as, happy I should say and left you with a bad taste in your mouth with their attitude and the way that they presented themselves. It was almost like you were disturbing their day, even though there was no one in the store. That's why I dropped it down the way I did because I got very negative vibes from the staff overall except for the one that was making the subs. The one that cashed us out was very Kurt to us and didn't even barely talk to us so it was just a weird experience. I would recommend going there because their food is good but if management read this, I would definitely encourage their staff to be more positive with their customers because it means so much. read more

Listen just because you're part of a franchise doesn't mean you're consistent with others; we used to live near the WORST Subway in the country. This Jersey Mike's, though, it was GOOD. Consistent with any other, super fast, and the people were REALLY nice. Had to repeat my order several times, because there seems to be no system in the order process to make it easy for customers to state their order once, wait until food is prepared, then pay. Customer service was lacking. I'm not sure if it was because they all seemed confused (overworked) or what. The sandwich was nasty. Soggy and just plain nasty. There were other orders and no one else complained but I'm writing the review and can only speak on my sandwich. It was a hot sandwich...cheese not melted at all and the bread soggy due to it not being prepared right. I personally won't be returning. What a waste of money. And I don't like to waste money. Went there today. My wife got a steak sandwich. The lady (I think she was the manager) made her a killer steak sandwich. Wife said it was the best one she has had. I had a bite and have to agree with her. When we were done my wife went up and complimented her. People are quick to bitch but slow to compliment when deserved. My Italian was also great. I just went to jersey mikes for the first time with my two babies. I told them it was my first time there. they asked me if I wanted whole wheat or white bread and I said whole wheat and ordered a ham and provolone sandwich, they gave me white bread and forgot the cheese, when I went back in they just added cheese to a sandwich that was already bitten. My own fault for returning to the worst Jersey Mike's in the capital region. I have only been to Wolf Rd. a handful of times and they've all been disappointing. Today I called and ordered a gluten free vegetable sub. When I opened it there was one slice of provolone and a half slice of American (subbed for Swiss). Is that really a sub? I don't think so! I said no onion and lo and behold there was onion! Absolutely unacceptable, but again, my fault for coming back when they've proven their incompetence in the past. Don't waste your time. This place used to be trash but now This the only good Mike's left around here. The other jersey mikes fell off around here man. This is the only place now that you don't wanna rip yo eyes out cuz the place is dirty or fall asleep cuz they are slow or wanna get these people fired cuz they are a******. This kid jarred always there and he came up to SUNY from New Jersey started in July or something and he already knows my name and my order and my kids order and he's quick as hell on the meat cutter or whatever u call it. He's always funny and he always be doing jokes with my kids about the giants cuz we are giants fans which is why they always wanna go to this store after they have practice cuz they always talk to him about football. The store on Rt. 7 and the one by SUNY feel like they hate people coming in most of the time and they always can't make cheesesteaks after 8 and run outta everything.
