I stopped here for the first time last week on lunch for work and was not disappointed. I was quite the opposite. I tried one of the daily specials. It was a turkey wrap that had feta, olives, and hummus. It was delicious and big enough that I had half of it to save for later. It came with chips and choice of a deli salad. I had the tuna Mac salad and it was equally as delicious! Definitely check this place out if looking for a sub or deli salad! read more

As part of a work function, we ordered lunch from this place. I was pretty impressed for a little deli. I ordered the maple turkey sandwich with provolone and honey mustard on wheat. The sandwich was pretty large and neatly packed in wax paper with my name on it. Cute! The meat was bountiful and seemed high quality. The honey mustard hard a dijon flair to it and was delicious. I even ate the little bit that dripped off into the wrapper. It came with a little bag of chips. There were lots of other things that I would have loved to try if I wasn't worried about traveling later that day. I heard lots of great things from other staff that also got lunch. It seemed like the orders were all accurate for about 17 of us which is an accomplishment. I heard the cranberry mayo was good and the sausage and kale soup was very nice. Disappointed yet again in Martini's Deli.. paid $6.50 for half a turkey and bacon sub that had minimal turkey and minimal bacon on it. I try to eat local, but I could go to DiBellas and get something twice the size for the same price. This isn't the first time this has happened either so I really don't think I'll be back unless they make some changes in the quality of their food. read more

This is a solid deli. They have great lunch special wraps that are very creative and I have found to be really, really good. The special comes with a small side picnic salad and a bag of chips. They have other offerings: breakfast, soup, salads and a great variety of gourmet sandwiches. Do not order the clam chowder. Not good! They carry Boar's Head meats which I think are outstanding. The staff at lunch time really hustles. I have seen them tear through a line 10 deep. You can get in and out for lunch which is very helpful. Ma & Pa sandwich and catering place in the Shaker Pines Plaza, with weekday breakfast and lunch hours only (7:30-3 M-F). There's a small dining area with simple café chairs and YNN (or whatever that's called these days) on the TV but it seems more tuned to the takeout and cater-our-working-lunch-at-the-office - style trays of sandwiches. Our sandwiches were a little disappointing: the hot one was cold in the middle, as if it hadn't really been prepared that fresh (even though it was made before our eyes), the cold one was literally cold as opposed to room temperature. Side chips are of the massive 0.75 ounce Wise variety, without other sides (pickle or deli salads) being standard, although some of the specials do come with salads included. The menu is very limited and features pretty standard sandwiches without a house specialty. You can get omelets (one of two) and some egg sandwiches at breakfast time, although they don't open until 7:30. Note they use panini as their default bread, you have to specify something else. Coffee was a bit of a disappointment as well: brewed instead of K-cups (yay!) but thinly-brewed and a bit tepid on both occasions we tried it. Does not pass the Is It Really a Deli? test: very limited meats (8) and cheeses (5)- all the usual Boar's Head ; not in the sells-by-the-pound business; salads are sold by container for consumption as opposed to by the pound; and there isn't a pickle in sight. All that said, perfectly fine for what it is, a sandwich takeout place, if you're in the neighborhood. Prompt counter-style service and no fuss. If you're going a little further afield, the Shaker Shed just up Watervliet-Shaker makes better standard-style sandwiches and soups and a nicer eating area, and Positano's off Route 7 has more gourmet-style fare, at comparable prices, although you'll wait longer there. read more

This is hands down the best deli in the area. I got so tired of being ripped off by chain sandwich places that give you little meat and try to load it down with veggies and extras that I stopped going to them. And then Martini's opens up. Here are some of the comments I've heard during my visits there: "How am I supposed to eat all that?" "How am I supposed to get my mouth around that?" "Holy cow, what is that?" - (This was looking at a half sandwich) They use Boar's Head meats, so I don't know about the complaint that the ham was fatty. Ham is fatty. It's ham. But it's Boar's Head so you know it's good quality. The tuna fish is freshly made and they pile it on. They pile the meat on all their sandwiches. Everything is good and if you get a sandwich on their "signature roll" you'll probably be eating it for two days because it's so big. The soups are fresh made as well. The other day I had some Minestrone and it was the best I have ever had. So fresh. The carrots were cooked through but not waterlogged like a lot of soups you get. Their breakfasts are really good as well. $4.95 gets you 3 eggs, toast and home fries. The home fries are moist and delicious. They give you enough food that if you buy breakfast, you're probably skipping lunch. They're the new kid on the block. Give them a try. I'm sure you'll become a regular. read more

Listen, I've worked near this deli for around two years and I've been there enough times to fill up a few free sandwich cards. I go here because it's Boar's Head - which I thought was a good brand - but It never really feels "premium" because I'm standing in a room with a few chairs and employees who give me death stares when I walk in. I've also born witness to several private family disputes between the employees, heated negotiations between food sales reps and the owners, and walking in to find myself in an empty room all alone. Hey, nobody's perfect...I get it. I frequent JC's Deli down the road and although they employ a gaggle of angry lunch ladies, but their food is pretty darn good. So I buck up, get yelled at, give them my money, and eat my lunch. The main reason for the 1/5 stars is I've gotten food poisoning from Martini's food one too many times for it to be a coincidence. I don't have stomach issues and I didn't just drink 3 cups of coffee before eating...all I'm saying is that I CONSISTENTLY wish my office's toilets had a seatbelt for the 12-13 minute lag time between when I eat these sandwiches and when I have to take my leave of a meeting. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that the interior of this place looks like a hastily put together hobo-shack, or if it's just a food storage issue. Not my call to make. But when I can predict the gut shaking rumbles that hit me with NASA style accuracy, we have a problem. In the words of my fellow reviewers, "This place is not a real Deli." Over priced food for awful quality. I asked for a chicken cutlet on a hero. They said they don't have a grill... what type of deli is this. Only cold sandwich's. I asked for a small salad and a water almost coasted me 15 dollar. I came back a second time asked for just ham they looked at me funny and said they don't just sell ham on its own. I wouldn't consider this a deli. The ladies also started talking behind my back the first time I came in because I was confused on what they could make me since they didn't have a grill. Don't recommend this place at all just go to Stewart's right next to it. read more

I got the French dipped with cheese specialty sandwich and it was pricey for what I got...large chunks of onions laid on top of about 4 thin slices of roast beef...there was way more bread and onions than meat, the au jus was completely flavorless, and it was just disappointing for the price. I think I'll try their breakfast one day when I'm feeling adventurous but if I want a sandwich of this quality I'll go to Subway. Way more bang for your buck. read more

Everyone was very friendly. I think it seems a little pricey and agree a .75 bag of wise chips is not an adequate side. Good sandwich, friendly service, and quick. Came in a little fired-up after a poor experience at a nearby spot on a limited-time lunch break, and was in and out quick with a perfectly fine sandwich. Will visit again next time I am in town, and recommend Martini's. read more
