Located in the Albany airport right after TSA (must go thru TSA to get to it). Long lines since it is Chick-Fil-A and front & center. Line moved fairly quick and employees were friendly. The quality of Chick-Fil-A regular locations versus airport locations is like night and day. The chicken was so soggy and chewy. The hash browns they gave us were like the leftovers they had - they weren't full round hash browns. This location needs quality control :-(

If I could give it zero stars I would. 2 menu selections, and the slowest staff in history. Waited 23 minutes from when the receipt was printed for 2 Chicken sandwiches and fries. I could've raised the chicken myself in the time it took to get my order. Then one of the workers asked me if I wanted a cookie. So I said "Sure" and he went to get it, got sidetracked and then went in the back again. No cookie.

I guess the owner called me and asked about my experience. I recounted my dining experience of a cold chicken sandwich. waffle fries that were not. they looked like those cheap fries you buy in the frozen food section, etc. said he was sorry and would send a coupon to make it right. took my address. never saw a coupon. par for the course for this joker.

Chick-Fil-LATE. Presumably at an airport one might expect a reasonable level of urgency in delivering fast food... fast. Not the case at the Albany International Airport this morning. My order was straightforward: chicken mini ( 4-pack) with the hash browns and lemonade. Some lady in the back seemed be in slow gear... After everyone behind me received their orders, I approached the nice young cashier who had taken my order. She "EXPEDITED" my order. THE FOOD: a sloppy, Greasy mess. I pulled away the chicken cubes and considered my poor decision. Serves me right for ordering fried food for breakfast.

The restaurant was completely empty at 12 noon when my dining companion and I arrived and only filled with one more party of three when we left. It appears to serve a decent breakfast and lunch with what they claim as "contemporary twists on American classics" as listed on the website. We had come for lunch but they offer a buffet breakfast ($17) vs. Continental breakfast ($13) vs. full American breakfast ($14) which I wouldn't know the difference just based on the menu listing. We were greeted by the hostess and seated at a booth immediately. Within a minute, our server welcomed us and offered drinks and time to look over the menu. The menu was a one page placard that divided between lunch and dinner *post 5pm* offerings. Out of curiosity I asked if we were able to order off the dinner section but we were told that it was not available as an option. In between our server grabbing us our drinks and returning for our order placements, another server came by to wait on us...but our server caught it and took over. Call us silly, but we chose the same menu item because the Corned Beef Reuben was calling our name. We were given options for the included side (fries, side salad, or kettle chips) so we opted for a side salad and the other- fries. The reuben was fantastic and definitely satisfied my craving! The rye bread was nicely crisped and buttered while the ample corned beef mingled in agreement with the Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. There was just the right amount of substance in each bite...including the necessary grease factor to make what a true Corned Beef Reuben should be! I've had ones that had so much grease that my hands were dripping of oil and bread soggy and sandwich messy. Luckily, The Market knew how I like my reubens. Unfortunately the small side salad was on the measly end and the fries were nothing spectacular, but both went hand in hand with the delicious sandwich. Albeit the non-bustling and semi-awkward dining atmosphere, the place was kept clean and welcoming. Parking was not an issue and ample in the covered lot towards the left side of the hotel. The only thing I thought would've been better was that our server should've checked in on us way earlier...not when my plate was already squeaky clean. And no, for the record, I am not a fast eater for those of you that may wonder. I'll give this place another try sometime and maybe order other items...and maybe there will be other diners or hotel guests that will find this spot for what they have to offer.

It's not their fault for what goes on in the kitchen. So I order a medium rare ribeye with a Demi glacé I was presented a flat cooktop blackened and burnt ribeye (cooked medium - don't focus on that). Accompanying this were several frozen then microwaved asparagus spears and a frozen then cooktop seared polenta. I ate about a third of the ribeye after shaking salt on it and three spears and gave up. My server questioned the pushed away plate and then offered to bring another. I politely declined, but she did remove it from my check. Super. Tipped her good. Once again, there is risk involved with a hotel lobby restaurant. Such is the life of the business traveler. Next time I'll keep it simple and order the turkey sandwich.

Once we we received our lunch food, it quickly went downhill. We never saw our waitress again after that. My son finished his Boba tea and wanted another, but our waitress never came over to check on us. We sat for over 40 minutes after we recieved our initial order and not one waitstaff came over to ask if we wanted anything else, nor did they come over to give us the check. After giving up hope of dessert and more tea, we eventually went to the front counter to pay since we realized no one was coming to give us the bill. Normally, I would understand if it was understaffed or busy- yet the two parties next to us had waitstaff come over numerous times. We were literally ignored. We won't be back and I do not recommend.

I wanted to try a representative sampling of their food, so I ordered a chicken parmigiana wedge, a large cheese pizza, and a 2 liter bottle of diet Coke. Out of the three items, the best part of the meal was - the diet Coke. (If you've tried getting Cocla Cola products from Albany restaurants and are a Coke fan, you understand this.) The pizza was pleasant, but decidedly average. The crust was not crisp, though reheating should help with that, which I shall find out with the leftovers. There was more crust than I normally like relative to the cheese, but it wasn't overly unbalanced. It was just a little too much on the crust side. The wedge, in conrast, had so much sauce I could not taste the chciken at all, and had trouble even finding the chicken on the sandwich. When I did, the chicken had minimal flavor. a good chicken parmiagiana should actually let you taste chicken with crisp breading, not soggy breding hidden in enough sauce to cause digestive distress. And yes, I did expereince digestive distress. I might buy their pizza again, but Albany's a decent size city, and there's lots of competition. But I won't be trying the wedge for quite a whle.

Also worth trying is the lamb over rice. Next time, I'd get it with extra sauce as it was a bit dry. However, I prefer this to Aria down the street - this doesn't have that flavor I dislike in the food from that other place that I've yet to figure out. I don't know if they have other options to add toppings, but maybe it's something to explore. It was just rice and lamb with a bit of green salad. Not other than advertised so no complaints there. The mozzerella sticks were good. Melba sauce was provided (as it should be everywhere in the universe). I'm torn on the eggplant parm dinner. It seemed like the eggplant rounds were cut up and mixed into the ziti or they were tender enough that they just disintegrated into the ziti. I'm certainly into having pasta with eggplant parm but also I want to control that ratio. This made it difficult to find and fork the eggplant amidst the ziti. It was also difficult to find eggplant pieces where the eggplant and breading were still unified. The eggplant was pretty good though. The calzone is not small. It was a bit light on ricotta compared to other calzones but there was no lack of cheese overall. It was more of a folded over white pizza than a calzone. That is, I expected it to be a puffy pocket but it was a flat semi circle with big slits on top. Not bad. Maybe I'd be in the mood for that style of calzone again in the future. I'd skip the buffalo chicken wrap next time. It was relatively dry, not spicy, and not as substantial as I was expecting. Beyond that, it had a grill flavor to it that was a bit out of place and interfered with the expected flavor. They seemed to put it on the grill to seal it closed in the middle but they keep the ends open so you have to hold the end closed while eating it to prevent bits from falling out. It was more of a somewhat buffalo flavored chicken roll-up than a buffalo chicken wrap. Surprisingly good fries. Also, great peanut butter pie. Note that the pepperoni is beef. It is very appreciated that it is clearly marked as beef so people can decide if that's a thing they want more or less than traditional pepperoni. Far too few other places think it's important to note this!

It is a good thing I did, as there was quite a long line (30 or so people) waiting to get in when we arrived. We were seated quickly and had our food ordered within about 10 minutes. The interior has an old-school look and charm to it, and it was quite nice though a bit dark. Thankfully, there wasn't loud music blaring at all. Lots of tables were crammed together but, perhaps because they weren't to full capacity while we were there, it didn't feel cramped. I ordered steak au poivre, and my wife had the prime rib. Both were prepared well and I really loved my steak. I chose rice pilaf as my side and it was decent enough but didn't taste like much beyond rice and tiny red bell peppers scattered throughout. My wife had a baked potato. Our food came out within about a half-hour, which seemed fair for such a busy time. It came with a salad bar which was good but not great. The usuals were there, though at the end were loaves of fresh made squishy bread and huge chunks of cheese. I think if you took the last two away it would have been a very average salad bar. But I enjoyed it for what it was. We each ordered dessert: I had the brownie sundae and my wife the turtle cheesecake. Mine was excellent, though it was hard to see the brownie included because they served it in a deep bowl covered with whipped cream. My wife's cheesecake looked great though it was a smallish piece on a place absolutely festooned with caramel and chocolate sauces. All desserts are priced the same, which is an interesting concept. All in all, we had a very nice meal. It wasn't cheap, but it was good. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a burger, or solely for their salad bar. But if you want a special preparation of beef then you will likely enjoy yourself. Just make reservations first!
