The people working here are literally so kind it's amazing. Obviously they have to follow Chick-Fil-A protocol, but they are doing one heck of a job at following it. It's always a delight getting to eat here before my travel/after my travel day. My standard disclaimer on reviews. I review everything from the point of view is what your expectation should be going to a particular place amazing sushi purchase at a gas station certainly would be a different standard than what you would get it Nobu. In this case, Chick-fil-A is ubiquitous. It should be amazing everywhere you go. This was the worst experience I've ever had in any Chick-fil-A and one of the worst that I've had at an airport. The facility was not clean, and although there was a mop and bucket and broom in peoples hands, they weren't being utilized. Three times I was greeted and asked for my order and within a half of a second the person turned away from me to talk with the coworker. This happened three times in a row until I know the tone of my voice was noticeably upset. nevertheless, they made me the milkshake which was all I wanted, and set it down heavily in front of me without the usual Christian courtesy. I really hope that someone gets in here and brings this place up to the standard Chick-fil-A. read more

Located in the Albany airport right after TSA (must go thru TSA to get to it). Long lines since it is Chick-Fil-A and front & center. Line moved fairly quick and employees were friendly. The quality of Chick-Fil-A regular locations versus airport locations is like night and day. The chicken was so soggy and chewy. The hash browns they gave us were like the leftovers they had - they weren't full round hash browns. This location needs quality control :-( read more

So as you walk up there is signage stating this Chick-fil-A is not run under normal rules and Chick-fil-A regulations, as it's obvious. The staff acted like they were at a frat party with a side of work thrown in. It took 25minutes to get our two person food order and there was only one person ahead of us and two behind. While waiting for our flight we decided to get some breakfast. Never had Chick-fil-A so I thought we give it a try. No line at all should have been a hint, as the Starbucks across the hall has at least a 20 minute or more wait line. Ordered the minis to share and coffee. Took a while to be ready. Not very quick and had to wait for the food for probably 5 minutes. The chicken on the minis are really really small, not like their picture at all. Too salty, too dry. Added their sauce which helped a bit. Coffee wasn't great. Also paid way too much for it but as a captive at the airport I am sure it's gouging pricing. Won't do this location again. Will give it another try when Chick-fil-A opens in Clifton Park and perhaps Latham. read more

Pretty standard fast food chain, except it's behind airport security. Does not accept any orders on the app, so you can't earn points or redeem your points for food. This used to be the more most northern Chick-Fil-A location, but now there's plenty more locations further north. Food is as good as you expect and comes out reasonably quick. read more

The clown show called Chick-fil-a at ALB continues to be an amazing bad show. This week I got napkins but no drink or sauces. Management at the restaurant or corporate have yet to decide to contact me with a response to any of my negative reviews of this location. This was hands down the worst experience at a Chick-fil-A I have ever had. When I asked for something to clean the tables (every single one was filthy) I received a look that they were going out of their way to help me (even though I was cleaning the tables for them....while a ton of "workers" that were just standing around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I pointed out the floor was pretty filthy and was told they don't clean the area at the airport (even though all the debris was leftover from their restaurant and clearly the product of their establishment).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No idea how they can sleep at night and charge over $15 for a meal that is subpar. Be prepared to be disappointed So we were excited to see that there is a Chick-fil-A at this airport when we arrived and looked forward to patron it on the way out, especially as a loyal Signature member. We would have a long wait here before the flight. My girl wanted a diet frosted lemonade. Instead of being greeted friendlily, or even with some professionalism, I was greeted with "What's your name??" Ok, maybe she's new. I said I wanted a diet frosted lemonade. No frosted lemonade. How about a frosted coffee that's also advertised? No frosted anything. We settled for diet lemonade. It was only a few hours later when I had to come back for dinner, since Wolfgang Puck Pizza and Burger King both closed pretty early. I went back and got the same gal. SAME GREETING. No chicken wrap like my gal wanted either. I decided it was enough. When I picked my food, I asked for the manager. Even though she was swamped as the in-between, she came to me at the first opportunity and listened to my complaint, which is the cashier's greeting is unacceptable towards another human being, not to mention a valued customer. She agreed and said she will have a discussion with the cashier later along with her boss, and that's why this place earned a star back. This is not your local Chick-fil-A. Don't expect to have the less common/fancy items. As always when traveling I stop at Chick-fil-a prior to getting on my flight, here in Albany international Airport. This trip being no different I went to order, the breakfast menu was on the screens. I ordered and the young lady informed me they were now selling lunch ONLY. It was 10:17am. I asked for a menu and she said she didn't have one, yet she expected me to know what I wanted. I was shocked at the attitude I was given. With no menu to order lunch, and no breakfast that the screens were displaying being sold. I gladly took my business next door to Starbucks and can't believe the attitude I was given by what is supposed to be a Christain Organization. Advise to the owner of this franchise ...get better quality employees you are NOT living up to the standards organization. read more

Went to chick filA for the first time today. I had often driven by and seen really long lines. In the back of my mind I often wondered that if people were willing to wait that long. the food must be amazing. Turns out that is not true. I waited in line at the drive through for almost half an hour. There was an associate who took my order at my car. She was very polite and nice, but it still took 30 minutes. When I finally got my order (a deluxe chicken sandwich and a coffee with Splenda and cream) I was really dissapointed. The restaurant only offers iced coffee. For whatever reason they added French Vanilla flavor to my coffee. The only thing worse than iced coffee is flavored iced coffee. Ended up throwing the coffee out. I also had a deluxe chicken sandwich which was fair to poor. It was served on a regular hamburger bun. The chicken patty seemed like it had been deep fried twice, because much of the breading was so overcooked it was like eating rocks. I'm glad I found out for myself. Staff was friendly and the food was super quick, however both my sandwich and fries were luke warm and the cheese on my sandwich was unmelted. I love that there is a Chick-fil-A in the Albany airport. Especially since there aren't that many around here. The menu is scaled back but the very basic choices are available and for the most part okay. My biggest question is if the owner of this location has different rules for running and managing the restaurant than the non airport properties? The level of customer service is WAY below the typical CFA. It's almost like you are bothering them when you order. The cashier wouldn't make eye contact and did not speak to me at all. She did however continue to look at her phone and text. She thought it was hidden, but not quite. She got my order wrong and also said she couldn't give me an itemized receipt. One of her coworkers said the receipt is itemized and pointed it out to me. The young man working there was also friendly. If people haven't been to any other CFA, they probably wonder where all the raves come from. This location really needs retraining. read more

Sadly, the employees of this Chick-fil-A decided to put an employee in line 20 minutes before close and refuse service to any paying customers desperate to find a dinner options. A female employee stated, " we won't have any food for you by the time you get up there ( maybe ten people in line ahead of her cutoff). It takes 2.5 minutes to make fresh nuggets. Extremely slow service, even when ordering ahead and trying to pickup a mobile order. I've been to other restaurants and the level of service you come to expect from the brand just isn't there.
