My husband enjoyed his hearty breakfast: Farmer Dick's breakfast special, 3 eggs over easy light rye toast, red bliss potatoes home fries and bacon. I dined on 1 blueberry pancake with three sausage links and real maple syrup. Their pancakes are large in size, light and airy. One is plenty for me and I love that they use little blueberries for their pancakes. The atmosphere at Lakeside Farms is bucolic. Lovely people, scrumptious food and we love to pick up some baked goods and Oscar's Irish bacon for home. Lakeside Farms is fantastic!

They have a really cute gift shop. The staff is really nice. That being said I don't think I've ever really liked a breakfast sandwiches and I went there for breakfast yesterday and you go and you put your order in at one counter and then you bring your ticket to another window and then they call your number and you get your food. I got one egg cuz I didn't want a lot I wanted toast I only wanted one toes but they do two toes and hash browns it's one order wasn't a huge order everything was $16 including the egg toast bacon a soda 20 oz in a Mallo cup. I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad if I liked it. The bacon was not good. It was very greasy and kind of also dry and gritty. The egg had no seasoning. The toast was good the jam was good the hash browns were good. I don't enjoy them for breakfast. I did have the best fish sandwich I've ever had in my life there a long time ago it was a special. Was that fish sandwich and had a yummy sauce. It's a fun experience to go there by do not like the breakfast. I couldn't get anybody to eat this bacon except the dog and she can't eat bacon.

Right out the gate, you're dealing with a clean, crispy New York-style foundation. The crust has that light crunch on the outside with enough give inside to keep it legit. Not overly doughy, not cardboard just balanced. That's how you start winning points with The BEAST. Now let's address the big talking point--the sauce. There's been some chatter on Yelp about inconsistency, and while that concern isn't totally off base, this visit leaned more positive than negative. The sauce had a nice tang with a slight sweetness, and more importantly it actually complemented the cheese instead of disappearing. Still not elite-tier locked in, but definitely better than average and trending in the right direction. Cheese + toppings? This is where Bella Lucia separates a bit. Good coverage, solid melt, and everything tastes fresh. No grease overload, no shortcuts it feels like they care about what's coming out of that oven. And let's not ignore the menu depth Stromboli's, sandwiches, etc. this isn't just a one-trick pizza stop. There's some versatility here.

In one sentence: The food for my grandson's graduation party prepared by LaGioia Deli was outstanding! All the guests raved by the quality of the food, the preparation, and the quantity! From the moment my daughter contacted Laura, the owner, to place the order to its pickup everything was handled efficiently, with care, and with an emphasis on what the customer desired. A change in the order was made with no problem. Friendly service throughout the process. The food was packaged very well and stayed warm. Portions were generous and the cost less than other places. The items ordered: Cheese Tortellini with Broccoli and Shrimp (excellent) Chicken Parm (outstanding!) Meatballs (like Grandma makes, so GOOD) Ziti with red sauce (freshly made and seasoned perfectly) Cavatelli with red sauce Eggplant Rollitini (popular and delicious) Chicken tenders Three large loaves of house made bread (outstanding, guests returned for seconds) (The owner gave us rolls also.) A large container of grated cheese and extra sauce was included. Our family from Rhode Island took some bread for the car trip home. Check out my photos to view the food! There were lots of leftovers to enjoy another day or two or three. We highly recommend LaGioia for catering. We usually order from Homestyle, but the food here was better. (Not to mention the better attitude plus getting the order correct and ready when requested. Owner at Homestyle sometimes "forgets" to tell kitchen about phone orders. You arrive for pickup, and there is no record of order!!!) Pizzas from Pizza Works in Burnt Hills rounded out the menu along with a tossed salad and fresh fruit. Two large Ice Cream Cakes from Marcela's on Rt. 50 were a hit as always! Nana made Italian Lemon Cookies!

Yes, the food was delicious and plentiful, but connecting with Yelpers was one of the biggest highlights of that event. So, I know it's taken us long enough to come back but it was truly better late than never because they did not disappoint. It was within an hour of closing but the place was buzzing both with folks dining in and a constant stream of orders from online and in store. We settled on their brisket sando and three sides - pit beans, mac & cheese, potato salad. The brisket was tender and juicy, potato salad wholesome and egg-y, pit beans sweet and spicy, and m&c mac & cheesy. While they don't have French fries, they have homemade kettle chips which I'm generally not enthused about but the ones here had a softer finish and I rather enjoyed them. Oh, and an honourable mention is due to the comfy chairs which are extremely hard to come by in restaurants. One minor (but non-negligible) gripe was the rather long wait before we could place our orders because the staff right in front of us insisted on packing a big online order AND serving the folks picking them up drinks before we could put our orders in. I personally would have taken the order of someone in line especially since there was no one behind us, so that the kitchen staff can start filling our orders while the staff at the register can return to finishing packing the pickup order. We'll go back. It's cool to see a local family business going strong after two years, and I feel like whoever is behind the venture managed to create something extra ordinary.

I had the brisket, the pulled pork, the baked beans, and the mac & cheese. The brisket was perfect and served with sauce on the side. Lots of great spices, tons of flavorful smoke, not too mushy, not too fatty. - The beans were phenomenal with tons of flavorful pork bits inside. I wish I could make them that good at home, but I don't access to the BBQ scraps that they have. The mac and cheese was dense and creamy, and the pasta was not at all overcooked. I really appreciated this. The Bad: - seating is limited, and it is quite likely during a busy time you will get your food before a table is open. Why do they limit the number of tables they have when there is space for more? That doesn't make sense. - the pulled pork was just meh. It tasted flat, the texture was pure mush, and the color was a bit odd. Frankly, I make it better at home. This reminded me of crockpot pulled pork with a bit more smoke flavor. It too was served sauce on the side. - when our food was served it was covered with complimentary red pickled onions. Yuck! Apparently they sometimes ask in advance but they might forget when busy. Thankfully, since they didn't ask and made the wrong assumption they were willing to remake my plate without onions. - no cheap drinks. No cheap anything really. Imported soda, exotic Fiji brand water, etc. Their prices are very high for some things. They make great food, but you might get hit with $25/person or more before the smoke settles. Was it worth it? For some stuff yes, and for other things no. We had a good time, and I know better what to focus my order on in the future. But to go at dinner time when there might not be a table to enjoy your food is a real bummer.

Tons of gift items and tchotchkes everywhere plus some really yummy looking baked goods. It took every ounce of my willpower to not indulge in the cider donuts or double chocolate cookies or pumpkin pie or apple fritters...etc. Attached to the adorable country store is an equally adorable café called Lunch Thyme. They only serve lunch as per the name. Locals remember when they had a big breakfast offering back in the day. New owners are running a lovely, clean, fresh and simple menu as of April, 2022. I had a turkey sandwich with a side salad and homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Iced tea was just right and the portions were "normal". Nothing too overstaffed and I really liked the condiments. I tasted the quiche, macaroni, salad and cheddar broccoli soup. Everything is clearly homemade and quite delicious. Friendly service, nice people, good food, chill vibe.

Indeed, upon entering a new restaurant, we ask ourselves: Is it managed by The Wicked? Will they gnash upon us with their teeth? We choose to still take the risk. Will we will be gnashed to tiny pieces, or will we feast upon the fine goods of the earth? So, of course, this was the concern to be had top of mind upon entering Fo'Castle Farm and proceeding into the depths of Lunch Thyme. Indeed! Lunch Thyme is somewhat within the bowels, or--we might say--the entrails of Fo'Castle Farm, which is not to say that it is walled in and airless like a prison cell. The guest finds an open and welcoming space, a thick leather couch, many screened windows, and the vast smile plastered upon the face of the owner(s). Lunch Thyme welcomes its visitors into its warm and breezy arms. It offers a small but finely chosen selection of items. Quiche lovers, sandwich lovers, salad lovers, and soup lovers alike will find solace in the menu at Lunch Thyme. One can sample a roast beef sandwich on a tender ciabatta roll, a salad with roasted beets, or several juicy and meaty balls on a bread as if it were taken from Italy itself. And the prices. The prices, it may be said, are reasonable for the area: not a bargain per se, but nor does Lunch Thyme greedily tear away visitors' wallets to gorge itself upon their contents. In short, it is reasonable. That is it. That is it indeed. In a word, Lunch Thyme is reasonable.
