First impressions are everything - when you walk in, there's a table attendant cleaning the dining room and welcoming guests in. Kahdeja at the register took our order, she was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She even helped us when we couldn't find something on the menu. They're really efficient in getting orders quickly. The room attendants usually bring it to our table, but this experience, she did not. She asked if it was our order and said it was up. We ordered for two adults and one child - all in all, it was $37.00 even, which is a really good price in current market. My husband ordered a double beef and cheddar and is never disappointed with the amount of cheddar they place on the sandwich. The kids meal has chicken bite nuggets, so it's not ground chicken. They were good, but one trend today was that the fried items were not salt or peppered at all. My Reuben was really huge and I couldn't finish it all. I was full have 1/2 and my curly fries. All in all the place was great! My only concern had nothing to do with the restaurant, but rather the patrons swarming the restaurant and moving tables around making nails on a chalkboard sounds with zero respect for the other patrons currently eating. That said - this ruckus all began at 12:15 pm (afternoon) on a Sunday ‍ (30 people piled in and started moving their furniture without asking anyone or consideration for others) Otherwise, the rest of the week when we have gone, it's been wonderful! I hadn't visited this Arby's since my pre-Yelp days. It used to be my go-to spot for a quick meal along Wolf Road. That was because (a) I was an Entertainment Book junkie and they always had a lot of BOGO coupons, and (b) theoretically their roast beef was more of a known quantity than what wasn't always 100% beef in other chains' burgers. I've had a love/hate relationship with Arby's. I've never forgiven them for dropping regular fries (I get indigestion from their curly fries), but I've also appreciated their attempts to come out with new menu items. So replace "Entertainment Book" with "Clipper Magazine," and offer a discount for their new "gyros," and I decided it was time for a visit. The store is very clean and the staff are friendly and courteous. During lunch, they had one employee doing nothing but greeting people and cleaning. The only blemish I saw to the decor was a huge rip in the other seat of the booth at which I sat. They actually have a reasonably priced small fountain drink too. This new "gyro" is okay, if you understand that it's about as Greek as I am. It uses slices of their roast beef in a soft pita with some lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, 2 rings (as opposed to slices) of red onion, and some sauce. The turkey gyro is similar except they use slices of turkey and don't heat the slices. My bigger issue is with their side salad. For $2.19, you got maybe a cup of shredded lettuce, a half-dozen chunks of chopped tomato, and some shredded American cheese. I probably could have poured it all into the packet of salad dressing once I emptied that onto the salad. It barely half-filled the bowl. While it's a sturdy plastic bowl good for take-out, it would clearly be recyclable - apologies if I didn't see a recycle bin, but it seems a waste to throw these into the trash. I wish they could do better. My "word salad" here is bigger than the side salad I got. I'm not surprised that it was very busy here for lunch. A meal here is still cheaper than what you can get at the gourmet burger places, and it's still just as good. read more

The food is good I have to say that it is actually quite delicious. And I never really went there before, so was not sure what to expect. As far as the ambience it's a fast food type of restaurant so it's looking similar to that it looked clean for the most part, and people were doing their jobs and doing it well so, the atmosphere did look like it was clean and tidy. The reason why I lost the star for this place was because it felt like you were frustrating the workers when you were giving the order we were never there before wasn't really sure what they had on their menu so I was looking and you felt rushed. You felt like they needed to have an answer right away and I didn't have an answer right away because I didn't know what they had. It just changed the experience together if they would've been patient with me and allowed me to just choose what I wanted and give me a minute I believe I would've given this a five star rating so if you're ever in the area, give them a try hopefully you'll have a better experience with that than I do or than I did. read more

I visit this Arby's (no drive-thru) because it's not in the mall. Other people have the same idea too! When there's a long line (lunch hours or weekends) almost to the front entrance, it may take a while to place your order and get your food. Once at the counter, I usually get a Regular Roast Beef Sandwich (with Horsey Sauce) or a Beef 'n Cheddar Sandwich, Potato Cakes, a large Jamocha Shake, and a Cherry Turnover for the road. I was able to find a coupon for lunch at Arby's. What a surprise that this sandwich was delicious. I chose the "Loaded Italian" which had lettuce, tomato, red onion slices and banana peppers along with a generous helping of ham, salami, pepperoni and garlic aioli. It was all on a nice sub roll and warm to boot. Since I drink diet beverages, nice that there was a choice of diet Dr. Pepper, diet Coke and unsweetened iced tea. Arby's is one of my favorite fast food options. The classic has always been one of my standard choices. Slap some Arby's sauce on it and I am a happy camper. Lately the smokehouse brisket sandwich has caught my attention. I don't care for mayo or bbq sauce on my sandwich so I order it dry with just brisket, gouda and onion straws. Then I slap Arby's sauce on it. The reuben is the only sandwich I don't order dry and slap Arby's sauce on it. But I should admit thatI haven't tried any other sandwiches because I can't convince myself to give up my first three choices. They have quite a few tasty options for sides but I usually skip them so I can spend my money and calories on a vanilla shake. They have the best vanilla shakes besides steak and shake. Many vanilla shakes have very little flavor, but Arby's are very pleasing, no Arby's sauce needed. Thankfully I have to go to Albany for my Arby's fix because I would be overdrawn on calories if they were local. Lucky for me, milk shakes around town are easy to resist. read more

RECOMMENDED I have loved Arby's since I was a kid. Unfortunately, Arby's closed its outlets on Long Island many years ago and only now, within the past few years, has opened full service restaurants on LI. This is a great Arby's. Mike, the owner, is a hard working and real nice guy. When I visit my family Upstate, his Arby's on Wolf Road is a mandatory stop.I've dined there more than ten times over the course of the last few years, most recently on 5/29.My Giant Roast Beef Sandwich tasted fresh and delicious. The young man who took the order was pleasant and courteous. My Vanilla Shake was refreshing, cold and delicious. The restaurant and the bathrooms were extremely clean. Mike frequently offers coupons in local publications which make a nice lunch taste even better. This place is your typical Arby's, except that it doesn't have a drive-through option. When I went there recently, I noticed that the prices were generally more than similar combo meals at other fast food restaurants. I didn't expect my beef-and-cheddar meal (medium size) to cost nearly $9. The prices reminded me of mall food-court prices. Anyway, the food was fine and tasty and I like that they have multiple condiment options at a pump station (ketchup, Horsy sauce, Arby's sauce, three-pepper sauce) instead of fiddling with those small packets. When I got there at 6:00PM, there were two or three people in front of me. Only two employees could be seen, and one had to constantly come out front to take orders and then go in the back to make the sandwiches. It took 3-4 minutes for them to take my order, and another 3-4 minutes to get my food. To have 2 employees during prime dinner time seems a bad choice, but perhaps someone called in sick? Several groups of people came, assessed the situation, and left because they didn't want to wait. read more

Roast Beef, per their website- "Trimmed Boneless Beef Chunks (Minimum 70%) Combined With Chopped Beef For a Maximum of 12% Fat. Contains up to 9.0% of a Self-Basting Solution of Water, Salt, Sodium Phosphate." Curly Fries are good though. Service- 1 Star Slow, awkward, disdainful. So Arby's food is not good, the buns are stale, the shaved roast beef looks like it's old paper somebody spilled chocolate milk on, and there's nothing else to their basic sandwich. If you want to talk fries, let's talk sad limp little yellow sticks of coagulated oil. But, here's the thing: you can pretty much guarantee there's no pink slime in a "Classic". Although I wouldn't necessarily put it past the fast food industry to figure it out (see also the enduring mystery of the origin of the Chicken Nugget.) And I will confess when I stop at an Arby's, which is about once every five years, it's when I get the strange yen for their horsey sauce (made, I think, with real horses!) and the "roast" "beef" "sandwich" is just a delivery device/excuse to pile on the secret blend of white mystery goo. This location's virtues: no drivethrough, and padded booths. And they were relatively fast on our recent visit. I've never had bad food from this location. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow depending on how many workers there are, and some of the employees have a bit of an attitude problem to them, too. For some reason they don't keep turnovers out after they sell their initial batch because they have to be thrown out every few hours, so they'd rather not make them if they don't think they'll sell (put them out guys, they WILL sell!), but this is a great place. If you're ordering off the value menu, you can get a jr roast beef, jr fries, value drink and a turnover for about $6.... it's not really any more expensive than anywhere else these days. If you hit them during the lunch rush (which is anywhere from 11 am to 2 pm) be prepared for there to be some kind of a line. Especially on weekends. That said, the food is delicious. Everything here is good. The roast beef is not typically what I think of when I think roast beef, but it isn't bad. The fries are good when they're cooked fresh, and the turnovers are all awesome desserts. One downside is they don't have receipts with offers of freebies on your next visit for filling out a survey like most Arby's locations do. Still, this is one of the 3 local locations my friends and I hang out at the most. Why? Because it's one of the best. read more

We just left Arby's in Albany. It was a horrible experience. The food was good but the girl named Ivy, I think it was (African American girl with very long braids they were black and blonde with gold string wrapped around) who took our order was a nightmare. We got there at 9:30 and they were cleaning up I promptly apologized for the inconvenience since we got glares the moment we walked in. The girl was not friendly and was extremely rude rolling her eyes at us. After we checked out another family walked in and the girl looked at them and acted very strangely bending down and facepalmed then laughed. Arby's is a solid fast food restaurant. The best thing on the menu is definitely the curly fries. They are crispy and seasoned to perfection. They are fresh and flavorful. The sandwiches at Arby's are decent, they aren't great, but there worth it for the price. The roast beef sandwich is the best sandwich at Arby's. The roast beef is tender and the bun has good flavor. This was a great find. Probably the most amazing sandwich I have ever had. And those frozen generic mozzarella sticks - will blow your freakn mind! 1984 called and they want their CURLY FRIES back!! So, why would I give 5 stars to Arby's ?? Because it's Arbys and for that - it was decent. The great thing about this Arby's is that they regularly have BOGO coupons. I love the Smokehouse Brisket. The team does work hard, but if you go their during peak hours (M-F 1130am - 1pm or so), it will get backed up a little. I recommend going at 11am or so. Interior is a bit dated. There is s reason you make minimum wage, it is because your job requires minimum brain power. Earlier this evening my wife-.per my request stopped in to purchase 3 large roast beef sandwiches with Arby's and horseradish sauce and 2 orders of curly fries. Now my wife is a wonderful; trusting woman and perhaps a bit naive because she took it on faith that her simple instructions would be followed. Sadly that was not the case for when I checked the order at home not only was there no Arby's sauce or horseradish sauce to be found but instead of 3 large roast beef sandwiches there were only 2, the 3rd was topped with cheese. Whomever thought placing cheese on a roast beef sandwich was a good idea should be brought to the village square, thrown in irons and left on display to be mocked by school children as they pass by. Ate here yesterday evening and woke up in the middle of the night with horrible food poisoning. Barely ate anything else yesterday and started feeling nauseated about 2 hours after eating the chicken tenders. Would not recommend this restaurant. Talked to the manager at my last visit , it's under new management and they are improving so much! My food was hot and ready in under 2 minutes, they get busy a lot and sometimes the wait is long , yeah of course it's a lot of people ordering.
