That is their REGULAR portion of fries.
Bill Z.

At this point, I've visited all of the Herbie's Burgers in the Albany area (currently 3, but I expect more to be built). I still prefer a crafted burger in a pub over any of the "chain burgers," but among those, I feel Herbie's competes with the best. They is a little bit of inconsistency among them. For example this Herbie's is where I've had my favorite burgers but least favorite fries (not that they are awful or anything, see below). My burger here was well prepared, and the all-important bacon was crisp and flavorful. The best description I can use for the fries is "all over the place," and I use that term for multiple meanings. First, there's the quantity. An order of "regular" fries is enough to feed 2 or 3 people. As per my photo, the portion was literally overflowing out of the container and all over my tray. But the quality was a bit all over the place as well. These fries - matchstick or shoestring style - were a mish-mash. Some fries were perfect, others were burnt matchsticks, some were slightly undercooked, and in general they were slightly greasier than they need to be. But while they are still warm, they are absolutely delicious with enough to share. When it comes to their milkshakes, I am a vanilla type of guy and will always be satisfied with their vanilla milkshakes. But I hear high praise for their banana milkshakes. And one dining companion last night raved about the vegan milkshakes. I was scratching my head until she explained that they use tahini. That made them immediately more interesting to me, and she said their strawberry vegan milkshake is positively addicting. I just hope Herbie's doesn't get out by a bigger chain (out of fear of their eventual success).

This review update could have been a rant. It could have had me remove a star, or two..., or maybe even three. But I want you to learn from my experience and this review, so you know what to expect. Because these burgers are so good, IMHO, there is not a valid enough reason to avoid enjoying a burger from Herbie's. Let me start by explaining that upon my first visit to this Herbie's location in 9/22, I observed that it took what I considered to be a longer time than normal for my order to be filled at a fast-food stand. So, I thought I could outsmart Herbie's this time by ordering online with a scheduled pickup time at least an hour later. I arrived at Herbie's counter at 6:17, two minutes after the requested pickup time, and was informed that the cook was working on my order. Twenty-three minutes later my order was handed to me. Now this may seem like an unreasonable amount of time to wait for an order to be filled, and apparently it was for those who were already waiting for their orders when I arrived. I'm sure that partially helps to explain why they cancelled their order about the time that my order was handed to me. Proper cooking takes time, even for burgers. My wife had a Single Cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap ($6.95) with a request to hold the onions. That was exactly how it was prepared with the standard inclusion of tomato, pickles, and house-made nerdy sauce. She declared it was delicious. I ordered a Double Cheeseburger with bacon ($10.95) and all the standard toppings. Love those crispy edges on the burger. We shared a large order of French Fries ($3.95) but we may want to consider ordering two regular, or even two large, the next time since the fries are that good. Final Note: When you order online you are ordering through Mealeo. I was surprised that the prices through Mealeo matched the prices posted at Herbie's. Frequently, online ordering apps charge slightly more. Back in 9/22 I also noted that Herbie's charged a non-cash adjustment if you used a credit card. I don't know if that is still their policy when paying at their counter, but there was no non-cash adjustment charge through Mealeo. Now I simply wonder how long I would have had to wait if I had placed my order in person.

Double cheeseburger and a regular sized fries.

Been a while since we visited Galleria 7 food court so decided to stop by for lunch. Saw this burger place and positive reviews for it so decided to try them out. Got a double cheeseburger with all standard toppings and a regular sized fries. Burger tasted great, much better than standard fast food. More like Elevation burger or 5 Guys in the good way. Fries are thinly cut and excellent. Very generous portions. Taste freshly fried. Satisfy the burger and fries craving. Fountain drinks were more off brand, maybe RC or something like that? Tasted great, the diet cola made with Splenda. Prices are very reasonable for these days. Would definitely return in the future.

Double vegan cheese burger with vegan bacon and small fries.

As someone who doesn't eat meat, it can be a challenge to find *good* meatless alternatives that *don't* taste/smell like cat food. Herbies has an outstanding vegan patty. Kicking myself for not having had tried it sooner. I got the vegan double, which was hefty- my big back thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were okay, nothing special- I probably wouldn't get the fries again. They also have milkshakes- both regular and vegan. I will definitely return to try the vegan shake. The staff was very friendly!

Yumminess! I was craving for burger. And found this in the Galleria 7 food court. The patties are thin but tender and juicy and the bread is soft and goes well with the burger. Service is fast. The price is fair. The room is nice, clean, with music playing and there are lots of food choices. Lots of parking as well. I will surely buy again.

Nice to see a local business with big time franchise potential. Solid slam burgers! Definitely worth visiting the other locations.

The first time I order a burger at someplace new to me, I always skip the sauces and condiments, so I can taste the flavor of the beef and the toppings. It certainly comes through here! Despite being cooked well, the beef flavor was strong, and the patties remained juicy. I wish they offered Swiss cheese as another possible topping. The fries are not my favorite. I do enjoy crisp fries, and these indeed are. The first few, while still hot, were tasty. But there comes the question, "Can fries be too crisp?" For me, these would be a "yes." While I appreciated the crunch, these were beyond the point where you still have the fluffier texture inside. They almost felt like french-fry shaped potato chips. They're also very filling. One serving could easily satisfy 3 people. I'll want to visit again to try one of their chicken sandwiches. And I saw on one of their signs that they carry Jane's Ice Cream, something I haven't had for a while. Bottom line: I'd come here for a burger or a chicken sandwich, but I'd be likely to get a side elsewhere in the building.

I've been to Innovo Kitchen in Latham several times over the years and I've enjoyed it every time. They have a unique menu that changes periodically, but I always find something that catches my eye. The interior has an industrial feel which I like, with a lot of exposed brick. The tables are made from old bowling lane wood, which is a really cool touch. When you walk in there is also a bowling pin displayed in a glass case. I remember there being a bowling alley somewhere in that plaza when I was a kid, so it seems likely the building has some history tied to that. The tables are also nice and large, which makes the dining experience more comfortable. Tonight I ordered the Monte Cristo burger which is described as battered Buckley's Bread sourdough, a 6 oz special grind burger, Taylor pork roll, Swiss, and Twin Leaf Farms maple aioli. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed the hint of maple syrup flavor on the burger. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were also very good. Another person in our party ordered the White Chicken Parmesan, described as a crisp chicken cutlet topped with ricotta and garlic spinach and fresh mozzarella, with garlic parmesan cream and lumache pasta. They said it was delicious. Someone else had the Crispy Skin Salmon and enjoyed that as well. A child at our table ordered macaroni with red sauce. The portion was surprisingly large and they liked it, which is impressive because they are particularly finicky. For dessert we ordered something we've had here several times before, the peanut butter mud pie. It's basically ice cream in pie form with an Oreo cookie crust and chocolate fudge. It's very tasty and also a generous portion. At the end of your meal they also offer everyone at the table a tasty piece of gourmet chocolate. One thing that really stood out tonight was the attentiveness of the management. Two different managers stopped by our table at different times to check and make sure everything was good. I recognized one of them because I've seen him there before and he always seems to make a point of checking in with guests. The other person had seated us so I initially thought she was the hostess, but after she stopped by during the meal I asked if she was a manager and she confirmed that she was. I mentioned that I was impressed that two different managers had checked on us, and that every time I've dined there a manager has stopped by to make sure everything was good. I thanked her and told her it was appreciated. During the summer and fall they also have a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. On cooler nights they have heaters and a fireplace which makes it a great place to sit outside. I will definitely return here again in the future. 5 stars

Taproom is a bit of a misnomer in that there are not 20+ beers on tap…read more What I liked was their food choices and the bacon and blue cheese burger I ordered. It was both massive and tasty. They also provided a generous portion of of chips as a side. I was less happy with the beer pour for my two IPAs. I ordered a Fiddlehead and a Dogfish IPA and both had an inch of foam. Aside from the beer pours, I would recommend this place for a burger.

This was my first time at Beer Bones Bar and Grill. We went as a group of six and made a 6pm reservation, which turned out to be a good call because the place filled up quickly. It's on the smaller side and definitely gets busy. One thing to note, there is a 3% upcharge if you pay by credit card. It's posted on the door, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We started with pretzels and mozzarella sticks, both were very good. From there, it's clear wings are a big focus here. They have a ton of sauce options. We ordered a wing platter and tried Stebo, garlic parm, moonshine, and bourbon BBQ. The Stebo was the clear favorite for everyone, with the bourbon BBQ as my personal second. I'd definitely be interested in trying their honey BBQ next time. The wings themselves were excellent, large, meaty, crispy, and very flavorful. I'm somewhat of a wing aficionado, and these absolutely delivered. One thing that really stood out was the generous portion of celery, carrots, and blue cheese. Most places treat that as an afterthought, but not here. Everything was fresh and plentiful, which was a nice change. Bravo on that. For entrees, we were told they were out of string fries and corned beef, but pastrami was available as a substitute for Reubens. Not a big deal for our group. I ordered a cheeseburger, no tomato or onion, add lettuce, with steak fries, and asked for it well done. Others at the table ordered a Feener burger, another cheeseburger, mac and cheese, tater tots, a slider, and a Nashville hot chicken wrap. The one issue was that our waiter didn't write anything down, which made us all a little skeptical. Unfortunately, that concern turned out to be valid. One burger came out without cheese, and they were out of American, so it had to be switched to cheddar. My order came out with tomato and onion, no lettuce, and waffle fries instead of steak fries. To their credit, everything was corrected quickly. The runner brought out lettuce right away and swapped the fries, mentioning steak fries take a little longer, but they came out pretty fast. My burger itself was what I'd call medium rare rather than well done, but I was hungry and didn't send it back. Despite the mix-ups, the food across the board was very good, and the portions were large. I was full and couldn't even finish my fries, which almost never happens. Service overall was a mixed bag. The waiter was friendly and acknowledged the mistakes upfront, which I appreciated. Other staff checked in on us, refilled drinks, and made sure we had napkins and wet wipes for the wings. Once the errors were announced , they were handled quickly and without any issue. I really think if the order had been written down, this could have easily been a 5 star visit. I'll definitely be back, the wings alone are worth it, and the staff did a good job recovering from the mistakes. Next time, if we're a larger group again, I might suggest writing the order down just to avoid the same issues.
