Phone was answered in a few rings and I was asked to please hold. In well under a minute the phone was picked back up and a pleasant young lady asked my order, verified that it was delivery, and told me that delivery was no extra charge. Why pay more for one of the delivery outfits? Got off the phone at 5:07. We were eating those salads by twenty after 5. Heck, I could barely have set the table in that amount of time, much less prepared something to eat. Salads were somewhere in the huge to "almost too much to eat" range. There was PLENTY of chicken, still hot, tender, tasty, and not a bit of fat or gristle on it. The walnuts and cranberries were abundant, fresh, cranberries just the right texture. I personally would have preferred a bit more cheese, but that's just me - there was an adequate amount. Onions and tomatoes were fresh, tomatoes were tasty, and not that bland iffy taste that so many restaurant salad tomatoes at this time of year have. Lettuce was crisp, just right. The meal was a solid 5 as was the value for the money. The friendly, accurate, and super-fast delivery rates at least a 7 :) Good to see that Larry, besides being a genuinely nice guy, has managed to keep a consistent level of quality and service despite the all too common deficiencies in the food service labor pool since covid. I have to say that I am very disappointed it had no flavor and tasted like cardboard. It was burned and there was hardly any sauce on it. We had more grease than anything else on the pizza. We ordered 2 8 cut pizzas and a calzone. Everything that we ordered came to $60 including tip. If had known that the meal was gonna be that bad I would've never tipped but going on reputation of the place and our experiences in the past I thought we were going to get a halfway decent meal. Sadly, my husband and I threw out the portions that we had taken out of the pizza box and you can see of the other pizza box. There was barely anything taken out of that one. We have been going there eating in and ordering takeout for the last 25 years or so so that's why I'm so shocked that the food was so bad this time.

This was the second occasion of my being invited by someone who was celebrating their birthday there. I'm not a big fan of chicken wings so I also don't consider myself a connoisseur. On this visit there were nine of us celebrating the birthday boy's 65th. I figured I was entitled to seven wings from the six different flavors that were ordered. I was satisfied after tasting just one from each flavor. All the wings were very crispy and the flats were a bit moister than the drums. In fact, my least favorite was a parmesan garlic drumstick. It came with no sauce, so it seemed extra dry. Treating the wings as my appetizer, I ordered The Heater from their Specialty Sandwiches and substituted sweet potato fries for regular fries. Served in a toasted hoagie were shaved Italian steak, sauteed peppers, onions, jalapeños, queso cheese, and melted pepper jack. My first thought was that the hoagie was going to be too massive and too much bread. But to my surprise, the bread was so fresh and soft that it easily compressed around the filling allowing the filling to be the star of each bite. The steak was tender and flavorful, there was not too much spiciness from the various peppers, and there was plenty of moisture. The sandwich was served while still very hot as were the sweet potato fries. Wings and sandwich, all went well with my pint of Guinness. They do not take reservations and will not seat your party until all members of your party are present. They will add you to the waiting list before all of your party is present. Once we were added to the waitlist it was thirty minutes before the rest of our party arrived due to traffic delays. It was then another thirty minutes before we were seated. This was a Tuesday starting about 5:30 p.m. I'd suggest aiming for a weekday after lunch if you have more than four people in a birthday celebration. Staff are well experienced with these situations and are friendly and helpful.
