Went to Jermantown Shell for my Virginia Emissions and Safety Inspection having just moved from California. They did a quick job and were happy to explain what all was involved since I was new to the state. I'd highly recommend them. read more

These guys saved me from a possible disaster on the road and I'm so grateful! My check tire pressure light came on and I figured it was from the drop in temperature, but I actually had a super flat back tire. I was just running into the shell station to get quarters to pump the tire up, but was immediately asked if I needed help or wanted them to take a look. Turns out I had a nail in each of my back tires! I would have attempted driving all the way to Maryland after filling the tires up and could have been stuck on the road!! They patched the tires in less than 10 minutes, fixed my hub caps and I was ready to go. Without doubt the most above and beyond service I have ever experienced. Efficient, incredibly helpful, and pretty much lifesaving. Unfortunately I didn't get their names, but will definitely be back for maintenance! read more

The service manager Tom really helped us out when the clutch on our car needed replaced. Normally I try to do car repairs myself, but this was a bit too big of a job for me. I got a quote from another shop that was really high and was ready to get rid of the car entirely. Called up this Shell based on the reviews and they quoted me a much more fair price. Then when we picked up the car it was actually a little bit less than what they originally quoted! Would definitely recommend and I will certainly be back if I need anymore repairs that are just too complicated for a DIY. Plus, we even got a thank you card in the mail about a week later. Excellent customer service. read more

I took my 1972 Chevelle to this shop to get several things repaired. Tom quickly met with me and was very pleasant and professional to deal with. The work was done in a timely fashion, done very well, and for a very reasonable price. I will definitely take my vehicles to Jermantown Shell from now on. I highly recommend this shop. read more

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. I bought it used and it's needed some TLC. I have gone back to Chase to have him put on a lift kit, fix transmission shifters, clean out oil changes, and fix fuel pumps. I cannot stress how excellent these men are at their jobs. Their estimates are always fair, and they never charge anything more than needed. Chase and his team are always around, working hard to fix cars up in nothing flat. It is a great family run business and they truly restore my faith in humanity. read more

I love the way you decorate the station. It is always so festive, especially at Christmas! There is a man there too, that is so nice & helpful. Next time I will get his nameto state on this website. read more

Fast, reliable, and honest repair service! Chase helped us fixed a flat tire that had a nail in it. He even offered our dog water while he was working on it! Family owned and very trustworthy. Plus, they have great decorations during the Christmas season. Highly recommend if you're in need of a good mechanic! read more

Best shell station every . Very friendly people and honest prices when it comes to work being done on vehicles.

I've given auto repair business to them two or three times this year because they have the most important quality you want in a mechanic: honesty. They did our repairs quickly and for reasonable prices. They also sent two employees to jump my car, free of charge, so I could drive to the station without calling a tow. Good, friendly, dependable staff. read more

My tire pressure light was on so I was going to put air in my tires here. I wasn't sure sure how to use the machine so the cashier (Sandy) had Tom help me. He was so nice and went out of his way and showed me how to tell how much pressure to put in my tires and how to let air out, etc and did it all for me. The next day my tire pressure light came on again and I was stressed because I had to move that weekend, so I drove my car to Shell and saw Tom. I waved him down and told him the light is on again, and within 15 minutes he figured out that there was a nail in my tire and patched it up. Both Tom and Sandy were so friendly and straightforward. I will def come back here in the future if I need anything! read more

Just moved to the neighborhood, and took my car here for an emission and safety inspection. Tom was super helpful and I even received a thank you card in the mail after my services. I am a female and did not feel like I was taken advantage of, everything seemed very fair and reasonable. read more

The ONLY place my husband and I take our cars. I can always rely on honest updates on what my car needs at fair prices from Chase and his team. Customer service is amazing. I recommend to everyone I can. Thanks for always taking great care of us!! read more

Have been here for years, and always take my car here. The mechanics are pretty honest, usually don't try to sell for too much of service. Usually in and out within an hour. read more

Chase from Jermantown Shell is awesome! I made the stupid mistake of running out of gas before I could get to Shell to fill it up and he came out of his way to help me fill up my tank. Amazing costumer service! read more

I looked at all the Yelp reviews and thought it can't be true, but I'll give them a try, at least it's better than going to the dealer. (Every VW dealer in the area seems to be disbonest) My engine light went on and I ran a computer diagnostic before I took it in to them and it came up with six different codes. I personally thought it might be the MAF sensor and I was praying it's not the head gasket. Left the car with them in the evening and the next morning Tom promptly called and told me that they came up with six codes as well and then they cleared the codes and took the car for a drive plus checked it out. They didn't find anything wrong with it and thought it might have been an electrical misfire. (VW are known for that). I've been driving the car for two weeks now and it drives fine and there are no issues with it. They could have told me it's the MAF sensor, but they didn't! They could have come up with some bogus problem, but they didn't! I truly appreciate the honesty and the service! read more

My car broke down right next to this gas station and I am so thankful for all of the help I was given by Chase. He went above and beyond making sure I was helped. I got great service and honest opinions. It was my go to gas station and now my go to service station as well!! read more

Because I do much of my own auto repair, I'm very picky about shops. I don't like to be treated like I am a moron and I don't like to feel like someone is trying to swindle me. That said, this shop was great! The labor was a fair price and I came in, pretty sure that I knew what was wrong, which they confirmed, and had me back on the road fast. They were great! read more

I realized at 3:30 in the afternoon that I had a flat tire and stopped by on a whim to see if they could patch it for me. Chase was able to help me and immediately started to work on my tire. He was really friendly and happy to help. He and Derrick worked together to get the tire patched and on my car and put my spare tire away. The customer service they provided was amazing and the price was delightfully reasonable. I will definitely be back there! read more

Recommend and will go here again. Did good job on auto emissions testing today. Was very hot day, long line of cars at the end of July but everyone was very friendly. I Passed so was happy. 4 1/2 stars only because it was hard driving around station in line for test and was parked in hard place to back out of once they finished. They did a good job just don't have enough space for all the customers that were there at once. Love holiday lights they put up every year very festive. read more

Great service! I called and asked how long the wait would be for an inspection and they told me 45 minutes. The actual service takes 15-20 minutes so I was planning on being there for a little over an hour. Needless to say, that's exactly how long I was there. Every person that I dealt with, on the phone or in person, was polite and friendly. I will come back for my inspection next year. read more

They are super nice and always helpful. I've been here for repairs, emissions and gas. Chase helped put air in my tires. He has such nice and positive attitude. Great customer service! read more

Came to get my car serviced this morning. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of the employees that I interacted with. My car was in and out before I knew it. Would recommend highly. read more

Dropped my car off for inspection at 8 am this morning. I asked the shop if they could replace a burnt out bulb with a new one that I had already purchased. The shop agreed to inspect and install the bulb (they ended up installing it for free)! I also was given a ride to work so I wouldn't have to wait for my car. Everyone at Jermantown Shell was friendly even given the early time. I am so impressed with the customer service! Thank you! read more

I went in to get my safety inspection done without realizing that my brake light was out. Instead of failing me, Scott put in a new light bulb free of charge so my vehicle would pass. Everyone was super friendly! I will continue to get my safety inspections done at this location. read more

I've taken my car to some other locations nearby that had some questionable practices. This Shell location deserves the great reviews. The employees along with the father/son team (father is the owner) are honest, professional, and efficient. I had a concern about my brakes and was told it was fine given it passed the safety check (other places would've seen it as an opportunity to charge you for something not needed), but the son did tell me they can test drive it with me sitting in the car the next time I bring it in. We will be taking all our cars here now! read more

The decoration Is a great asset and crowd puller. May get kids in the back seat to get quiet for a little bit. Gas is 5-10c cheaper at shell on 29 opposite to next day blinds. I don't know about the auto repair part. Just reviewing gas price. That's all! read more

Okay so since I am on yelp today, I wanted to go ahead and review a bunch of places that I have wanted to review for a while. This service station is great. We have been taking my wife's car to this place for a very long time. They are as honest as you can get and the service manager is amazing. She had some strange things going on with her car so we decided to take it in. I gave them a list of things that I thought needed to be checked and they spent three days on the car and did not charge us one penny for all the work they did. They also only changed the battery after I kept pushing them to do it. They could have lied to us and told us a bunch of things and we would have paid for it. Thank you for being honest and we will continue to come to you guys even though it is a ways out. God bless you. read more

They have done all my auto work recently and I have found them to be incredibly honest and when they do work you need they are very very reasonable. I recently had a problem with my car cutting out and emergency lights coming on after I replaced the battery. I figured it might be the starter or the alternator and if they called and told me that I would have accepted it and paid for the replacement. Nope just some corrosion on the terminals. Cleaned it up, put on some grease, test drove it and checked the emergency lights. $40, done. Could have had me for hundreds. The same on a few other items. I had a tire shop tell me all my shocks were blown and leaking. Replaced the back ones myself, had them check the front, nothing wrong, at least nothing immediate. read more

This is my gas station of choice for getting gas. I have only two complaints, and those are that the lanes are too narrow, so it's possible to get stuck if there's a lot of people there getting gas, and the gas pumps are too close together, so if someone in front of you is getting gas and you park at the pump behind, it's possible the nozzle won't be able to reach your fuel tank. Besides that, however, I love this place. The holiday inflatables are an absolute favorite, and they go all out for the holidays. That alone totally makes it worth going here. read more

Jermantown Shell takes care of its own, they have gone above and beyond to make sure they build and retain relationships with all of their customers. Being a family owned gas station, they re-define what it means to be a part of the community. They have towed my car after an accident I got in that they witnessed (no charge) They have plowed my mother's (64 years old) driveway and her 85 year old next door neighbor (everytime it snows) They are a steeple of what it means to provide customer service and I am happy they are part of the fairfax family. read more

Found them on Yelp. Fast, efficient, clean and no nonsense. This outfit is run very professionally, the mechanics even help out in the shop if they are idle. Give good service and you get a customer for life, I have found my home. read more

Not one to write reviews much, but the guys here were absolutely fantastic. I had a terrible vibration in my truck going down the highway, so naturally I needed my wheels balanced. The issue is that I have off road tires and not everybody is qualified to balance them. Long story short, after calling around to Just Tires, Goodyear, Firestone and NTB, not one of those places had the foggiest idea if their machines would balance my wheels. I called Jermantown Shell and immediately was invited in to be taken care of. In and out in 15 minutes, Chase did an awesome job and my truck runs smooth again. Thank you Chase and the Shell team, you guys rock!! read more

Chase has helped me when I was in a bind not once, but TWICE! First time was one evening when my battery died at the gas station. Even though it was late and the shop was closed, the attendant for the gas station gave Chase a call and he was at the station within 10 minutes helping me charge my battery. Let's just pause here for a minute to acknowledge this amazing customer service.......!!! The second time Chase and his team recognized a VERY expensive issue with my engine. While they could have easily charged me $5000+ to fix it, instead they did some investigating and learned that this is an error that happened due to a faulty design. Chase coached me on how "to be strong" with the dealership and to insist that they fix the issue ...for FREE! As someone who does not know a lot about cars, it really means the world to me to be able to go to an Auto body shop and trust the people I'm working with. As Chase would say - "we're here to help people, not take advantage of them." THANKS JERMANTOWN SHELL! A+ read more

A while ago I went to get my emissions done, and they did a wonderful job, but then my car wouldn't start... I freaked out a little, being a high school student, but the guys working were so extremely helpful, especially Chase and Marty!! This was a few weeks back, but I am super thankful for their help, knowledge, friendliness, and effort! It was a strange source to my car's problem, but they took their time to tinker with it and figure it out without damaging the car, and actually taught me some new things. Thanks for being awesome! read more

I had to get my brakes checked so I decided to stop by here from reading other yelp reviews... Upon arrival, I asked the cashier that I wanted to talk to a tech and she was prompt. Took 5mins for the tech to come talk to me and before I said anything, he said I needed to drop my car and fill out a form. I mean, I don't think that was very professional. Anyways, I did tell the tech about my brakes and that it needed checked and told me that he couldn't do anything to help me at that moment. Very disappointed with the techs approach, will not come back even for gas. read more

Do NOT go here. I repeat DO NOT! I dropped off my car on Friday evening around 4PM and they finally called me back the following day at 3PM. After finally getting back to me with their absurd price they literally called me 3 times in the span of 10 minutes saying they needed an answer or they would charge me a diagnostic fee. I went to another place the following day and they charged me $130 less than what Jermantown Shell was charging. read more

My car recently had one of it's engine lights come on and I was freaking out. I was there about 6pm on a Friday and I have to say I have never met a pair of more friendly and helpful staff at a gas station than the two guys that helped me out. Even went so far as to search information on their phone to see if they could help me figure out the reset buttons on my car! Thank you both - you were life savers! I hope your manager sees this and does everything to try to keep you there. I know I'm going to try to figure out how to make you my new car care place! read more

I felt I needed to write a review because as a woman getting your car worked on often times you will get "taken for a ride" so to speak. This was not the case for this establishment. I came in for a knocking noise in my front end. The mechanics were very efficient with diagnosing the problem. They did not try to add anything on or sell me some huge problem. I appreciate the honesty and of course fast service. Thank you Chase and Juan! read more

I went yesterday to have my car inspected. They are very professional and everyone I met was extremely polite and very friendly. The wait wasn't long.I needed a few minor repairs and they did them for me right there and then. The cashier was so nice to talk with.I will definitely be coming back. read more

i would not recommend this place for state inspection . this review is about the service part of the station, my son had taken his car for state inspection and they tried to sell him bunch of stuff, i my self work on cars and did not agree with the recommendations made by the shop , the car passed safety inspection though, which to me was suspicious read more
