All Of our food was amazing. Everyone that got the blackened swordfish was very happy and satisfied. My husband said it was the best of our trip. I enjoyed my meatloaf and sides- sweet potato was ok- I'd get mash next time. Love all the planes and trickers on the wall. Nice cozy booth with good ac for this hot day. Friendly service- even was nice to let us sample the beer before our order. I would go back.

Our waitress Josie was on top of it! I haven't seen someone own a bartop like that since my 20s. She was the perfect balance of knowing her regulars and anticipating their needs while giving enough attention to newbies, like me, who had extra questions about the drink and food menu. The drinks were strong and topped off without having to wait. Our food came out fairly quickly and hot. We started with the crab dip, it was mostly cream cheese. I probably wouldn't order again because of that. We ordered the seafood platter and prime rib. Both came with huge portions! The scallops with the seafood platter was over fried/burnt but besides that everything tasted great. I only saw the seating area in the outside bar and one of the women's restrooms but from what I could tell everything was clean and stocked well. I have driven by on a Friday and Saturday and the place is packed! Looks like a fun time for the younger crowd and locals. Definitely will come back because of Josie and will try more food.

Well, I don't know what happened to Jeremiah's since our last visit but the food has gone down hill drastically. We had a group meeting up for a concert over at the Mount Dora Music Hall and decided to dine-in at Jeremiah's before the show. It was on Mother's Day and we arrived around 4: 00 pm. I honestly thought that there is no way we were going to get a table here because (1) it was a holiday, and (2) they are usually very busy. We were greeted right away and seated in about 15 minutes later. The waitresses were great and accommodated our group of seven rather quickly. Unfortunately there seemed to be only three waitresses working on this day so it was rather hectic for them. My wife and I arrived before the rest of our party and we also placed or order early so we could scoot out in time to see the first band. We explained our situation with our server, Danielle, and she did her best to accommodate us. They were offering a buy one get one draft beer special and I went with a cream ale which was cold and delicious. Shortly after, the rest of our party arrived and placed their orders. One of my friends also ordered the buy one get one draft special, he decided on the Shock Top. When the beer arrived it was cloudy and bitter tasting he said it was so bad he couldn't even drink it several other friends at our table tried it and also said it was terrible. Not sure what happened with the beer but he sent it back. There were two other smaller parties that showed up 5-10 after my wife and I placed our order and they all got their food before us. It took nearly an hour for my and Nancy's dishes to arrive. This doesn't even make sense because I ordered Chicken and Dumplings ($14) which I assume is prepared in advance and Nancy ordered a Walnut Chicken Salad Plate ($15) which also should be a quick plate to prepare. Nancy wasn't too pleased with her dish and she says the chicken salad didn't have much flavor. My dish on the other hand was a little bit smaller than expected, the chicken and dumplings was overly salty but the biscuit and side of broccoli were good. Everyone else in our party also had issues with their meals. One was an overcooked burger, another was soggy quesadillas, the French Dip meat was so badly processed our friend sent the meal back and had it taken off her bill, ended up going to the show hungry. This was a terribly embarrassing experience for my wife and I as we were the ones who recommend dining here. What's more terrible is that this was on Mother's Day and the group I was with was made up mostly of women, so I'll probably hear about this the rest of my life. I do have to give props to the waitresses working here. They we're stellar and we're running around like mad trying to take care of other customers while dealing with our issues. I believe one of the waitresses was also the bartender and there was only three working on Mother's Day that's pretty poor planning on management's part. I don't know what happened in the kitchen on this day but experiencing this many issues with food at one table is unforgivable and because of this we most likely will not be back.

Hooray! A place in this tourist Mecca that doesn't try to take every one of my dollars. We ate dinner here just prior to seeing a show at the Ice House theater. What a treat. The kitschy items hanging from the ceiling made for a fun trip. Our server was friendly and fun. A return trip is planned.

I sat at the bar on a Tuesday around 4:30. Nice bartender- definitely a local crowd, and definitely on Tuesdays at Happy Hour. I felt like I was taking up their reserved space. Not a good feeling so I moved outside after I ate. I ordered the special $2 tacos. They were good as ground beef tacos can be!

We came from Mt Dora from Daytona to pick up something we needed. It was dinner time so we decided to have some dinner. Larry has some walking difficulties after breaking his hip in April so we didn't want to navigate the hills. We drove by Jeremiah's on the top of the hill with easy parking. In spite of the mixed reviews we still opted to go in. The restaurant is a little dark and not modern but we are okay with that. We were immediately given a friendly welcome and seated in the side dining room. Our waitress, Barbie was quick to bring menus and get our drink orders. She always told us about the evening specials. Larry ordered the cottage pie, one of his very favorite dishes. I ordered beef tips with a creamy mushroom gravy served over rice. It came with a fresh house salad with honey mustard which was my choice of dressing, and a slice of toasted garlic bread. Larry's cottage pie was served in a gid casserole dish covered in cheese. He loved it, one of the better ones he had. He only ate about half and brought the rest home for another meal. My beef tips was a big potion on a plate with high sides. The gravy and rice was delicious. There were plenty of beef tips but they weren't as tender as I prefer. I could only eat about half of my dinner and also brought the rest of for another dinner. I plan on cutting the meat into smaller pieces that should make them easier to eat. We then ordered a slice of carrot go to go. We had it for a late night snack...so good! Moist and flavorful. We will definitely go back. Thanks to Barbie for making our dinner enjoyable..great service and good recommendations.

Ava was our bartender/server. I started with the Saturn cocktail. It was refreshing! My friend had a lemonade and we had waters. We shard the deviled eggs- 5 or 6 came in the serving and they were on a bed of fried leeks. They were good- they have a oniony flavor to it which was strong on our breath! I had the turkey croissant sando which has edam cheese and a raspberry chipotle sauce and possibly bacon. I ate half my sandwich (I think the bacon was on the other half) and half my fries. You have a choice of chips, fries, salad, fruit cup (some with upcharge). My friend had the curried chicken on a spring mix salad with pecans and avocado, red onion, tomato and cukes. Everything was so good. I had a second cocktail- the blush theory, also refreshing. We sat and chatted and didn't feel rushed out. There was one other table up there with us, a few downstairs and a couple outside. They have two bathrooms that are unisex, well stocked and clean. They have two parking spaces next to their alley entrance but otherwise parking is on the street and typically free. For dinner, they do recommend a reservation. Today they had a burger special, which sounded great, and there are many more menu items I'd like to try.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.

The black and blue burger was OK, nothing to go back for again. The assistant manager, or whatever she was that stood behind the podium in the back corner never cracked a smile never said hello, she definitely looked like she was mad that she was there. I took a photo of her but Yelp won't let me attach it. Spend the extra five or 10 bucks and go somewhere else for lunch.

We came for brunch on a Sunday and shocked how much I enjoyed it. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The menu changes often depending what is in season. The burrata with shishito peppers was also phenomenal and a great shareable although it was so good none of that was happening with anyone else, sorry not sorry. The porchetta was crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful in the inside. Scallops were cooked perfectly, I do wish there were a few more, as an entree it was not very filling but the flavor was out of this world. The star was the dessert. Jasons Candy Bar. Jason is the pastry chef and this dessert took the cake. it was moist with bursts of pistachio and gave a Dubai chocolate twist. I got an extra one to go cause the fat girl inside of me knew it would still be a hit later and I can confirm eight hours later it was. They have all the breakfast items you can imagine and a whole bunch of lunch and dinner options as well. Their menu continues to expand. We, of course, went for breakfast and had our choice of eggs and bacon and grits and pancakes ... but what stood out for me was the biscuits and gravy and the SOS. If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were just right. The side of grits comes in a small bowl which is a good portion for one person and the pancakes were humongous - a very good size for two pancakes and golden brown... I ended up sharing with my wife. We were very happy with the service that they gave us and one of the managers came around to see if everything was good or if we needed anything and we really appreciated that. This is a very down to earth place where it feels like home. It's a great place to bring the family, and we did see a lot of people with their kids, but, we also saw couples like myself and my wife sharing some good coffee or sweet tea and loving life. We are definitely coming back because I wanna try the teriyaki chicken plates and I'm very interested in the shrimp and scallops.
