This place is awesome! In fact I'm here now getting the best pedicure of my life. Not only do they trim your cuticles, scrub your feet or massage them, but they give you an ipad to play with! I think I may have just stumbled upon my new nail place, quite conventient being 5 mins from my house. I was unsure when pulling in, but desperate. This place is in a little shack on the side of 15th. I got a mani pedi at their special price for 25$. My nails look amazing! She did a great job. I do wish the massages were longer, but I noticed when I paid after the mani and gave a 50% tip that my leg massage was much more thorough. But that's what tippings for! Right? They also have great polish choices. Another plus, I didn't have to wait at all (I came in around 2:30). I probably wouldn't come in a rush since they are not staffed enough to do mani pedi at the same time. I do wish they used the shaver on my feet, but I can only find one salon willing to use that still. I supose I will live since this place rocked! Happy girl! read more

So I understand that this is one of those little local nail place that we all go to because its inexpensive BUT! Don't ya think that they would want to impress newcomers so that they might one day become repeat clients? I would hope so. My lady was pleasant enough but I could tell she was rushing so she could get to the next client. The woman sitting in the chair next to me was just getting her leg massage when I sat down for my pedicure and she finished with her service a few mins before my entire service was done. ok! so it looks to me like I got cheated out of a lot of service. The actual nail job was a joke. (remind you still not expecting much) little to no cuticle work which is one of the only reasons I go in aside from paint and a nail trim. She spent an unnecessary amount of time removing callous that I don't even have, and a fraction of the time on the massage as the woman next to me got. The paint job was also half assed I could have and have done a better job on my own. I am not a mean spirited person and I don't have ill wishes for this place but honestly there is no need to try this place. There are better little nail joint around. Try Polka Bella in Greenwood very nice and efficient ladies over there. I just wanted to try something closer to home. ohh well just wanted you all to know don't bother with this place. read more

I walked in to Jenny Nails this morning and they could see me right away. I got a french manicure, and the lady did a great job! She was meticulous about getting the cuticles and making sure the tips and shape of the nails were even and clean. She also wanted to make sure that I didn't smudge or chip them, and helped me dig around in my pockets to find my keys for me. I will be back here, for sure! read more

I just happened to stop in to Jenny nails, cause I just really wanted a pedicure TODAY!! I walked in and asked if they had one today, They said yes and it was GREAT! They were very friendly. A bit of a language barrier stopped us from chatting it up, but the massage chair is UNBELIEVABLE and the nice lady (I don't know her name but she is the thinner one for lack of a better distinguish- er) did a fantastic job. The technical aspects of the pedi were very solid, ie, trimming, filing, cuticle removal and all of that. The massage on my legs and feet, though was AMAZING. It was up there with pro massage. I highly recommend this place. IT is $20 for a pedi. $20 for a mani. $30 for a mani/pedi. I LIKE THIS PLACE AND WILL BE BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN!!! read more

Like other reviewers, this place has only one worker and she is the owner. She is detail oriented with her work. I've been coming here for over 5 years and not yet had a problem. However, I would suggest booking an appointment beforehand as she tends to be booked up. Space is limited, so don't expect a full spa experience. Her spa pedicures are wonderful. I went out of my way to go here based on the reviews. Disappointing. The space was cold. Nothing appeared squeaky clean, which made it hard to relax. Limited color options. I wear my nails short and had to ask to have the polish cleaned from my skin around the nail. I won't be back. read more

Tonight was my first experience with Lee, the owner at Jenny nails. I am so happy and satisfied with my nails. My regular nail shop closes at 7 and one of my nails broke at 7:20pm so I googled a nail shop near me and her shop was the only shop that had no time schedule posted so I called and she answered the phone, I told her my desperate need of a fill and fix and she said "I usually close at 7 but I'm still here and u can come in". I was so happy. I live down the street so I got there at 7:30 and she finished my nails at almost about 9pm. She is so sweet and does a terrific job. I would definitely recommend her. read more

I started going here a few years back when I lived in Ballard. At first I was hesitant because it doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't let that fool you. No, it's not a slick spa but quite frankly I get a better manicure here than I do at more expensive spas. The women who run it are very friendly and remember their regulars. They do a fantastic job and really take care of their customers. Once I got my nails done and the next day I noticed that I had somehow smudged one and chipped one. I stopped in and they fixed it right away for free. That was the day I became a definite fan of this place and I will often go to Ballard specifically to get a manicure at Jenny Nails. read more

Jenny nails definitely isn't the best place for mani/pedis but it's definitely the most economical. This place is a TINY hole in the wall establishment on 15th and there is enough for room for 2 pedis or 2 manis to occur at any given time and I've never seen more than 2 or 3 women working there at a time. Consequently I like to call ahead, especially if it's more than just me coming... but all that said for $20 you will get a pedicure that will not chip for weeks and usually I get such a rough scrubbing on the bottom of my feet that the lady doing it breaks a sweat. I just recently had a mani there, and while it wasn't the greatest mani I've ever had, I only pain $30 for the mani/pedi combo which totally seemed worth the price. This is definitely my go-to place pedis. read more

I especially needed one recently, and was able to walk in and the ladies were so wonderful and accommodating. I love Jenny Nails and was so happy to find them. They are friendly, acknowledge you as you arrive and remember you even after your first visit. On my first visit there, I witnessed them seeing an elderly woman coming toward the salon and one of the wonderful ladies walked outside to greet her and assist her into the salon! You don't see that nowadays! I was surprised when I recieved a massage while my nails were drying. I've been going there all summer and plan on continuing using them! I used to love Jenny Nails. Today I went in (after a long absence) and evidently it has changed ownership or management. The atmosphere was completely different and may be 'better' in some ways (more subdued lighting and new chairs etc) but the completely sweet, friendly and welcoming women were absent as were the extremely reasonable prices. I was shocked to pay the same for a pedicure that I previously would have paid for a mani-pedi from the old Jenny Nails. The name may be the same, but this is not the quirky neighborhood nail salon I had come to know and appreciate. The pedicure was good enough. This is the first time I have ever given a review and it's not good. Several weeks ago I went in to get my nails done after previously having gel done. I was talked into getting the powder nails as they were supposed to last longer. After two weeks one nail completely fell off as if it was fake. one other nail was chipped. I decided to go back to the gel nails. Upon removing nail polish they told me it would cost me five dollars do you have the polish removed. This was polish that had been put on by them two weeks earlier. I refuse to pay five dollars for nail polish to be removed that they had put on my hands and was not a good job. I was not told this until after the technician had starting removing three of my nails removing the topcoat. At this point I wanted what was left of a gift certificate paid back to me. I was told no, I said then don't charge me for removal of nail polish that was never a good job and I had done there at the salon. I also asked if they would redo my three nails that now we're messed up. I was told no without paying extra. The son of the owner refused to fix my nails or refund me an unused portion of gift certificate. I have never been treated so rudely. read more

This is a great/convenient place which is inexpensive and the ladies do a great job and are very sweet. I got my first acrylics here..$20 and fills for $15. Sure the place lacks the frills of other high end places but then I am paying a good price for great service and not for unnecessary overhead. I will be a frequent customer! read more

not good experience here....i was walk in so i was thankful to be seen right away. but unfortunately the quality is bad! i haven't had my nails done in 2 years and to get back into it with such a bad start sucks! just got them done yesterday and already they have chipped and i have acrylic under my nails and on the sides of them.....not to happy but i guess i get what i pay for. only $25 read more

I just had a great experience here today. I was able to get in right away and had a french manicure and pedi. I was given a LOT of time, about 1.5 hours and the service was only $35. This is not a spa like experience obviously, but for a little nail salon, they went above and beyond what I have had elsewhere. I was not rushed during the service and others were encouraged to relax longer while their nails dried. I would absolutely go back to this place again and again. read more

This used to be my "go-to" nail spot, unfortunately, my last experience with Jenny Nails was terrible. I came in midday for a basic shellac manicure, there were no other clients in the salon and 4 nail technicians sitting around so I didn't understand the rush to get me in and out so quickly. With the rush, came the most terrible shellac experience I've ever had. The nail technician cut me several times and didn't bother to acknowledge it. My cuticles looked worse then when I came in and the application of the shellac was uneven and it appeared as if I already had a weeks worth of grow out with how far away it was from my cuticles (which were jagged and bleeding). I had been quoted $20 for the price and before noticing how shoddy the job was I offered my usual $5 gratuity, when I signed the receipt she had charged me $30 and I had to have them void the transaction to start over. As I walked back to my car I examined the shellac and realized just how bad it was so returned to speak to the manager. The young man who is the manager had a terrible attitude but did offer to have her fix it. At that point my cuticles were still bleeding and I wasn't comfortable having her fix it so simply asked for a refund. The young man with the terrible attitude quickly refused and became defensive and rude. I have seen interact poorly with customers before but didn't know the details so left it alone but now understand that he is a huge part of why there were no clients in the establishment. I will no longer be going to Jenny nails and would advise anyone who's considering it to run the other way and head towards Bella Nails in Ballard, where I got my nails fixed and where they stand by their work. read more
