Stopped here on our way home from Watkins Glen. It's hard to screw up breakfast but it's also tough to make something outstanding when you order an omelette. They did it. Ordered the Spinach Bacon and Cheese 3 egg omelette and it was outstanding. Done right, lots of spinach and for sure a lot of cheese. My wife's eggs Benedict were also good but the sauce might have been overcooked a bit since it looked more like oily cheddar cheese. Tasted fine though. read more

The food is absolutely incredible! The spinach dip and fries are the best in this area. I've tried multiple items from their menu and was not let down. The only negative experience I've had from here was a fly landing in my spinach dip during the hotter seasons. They really need to do something to get rid of flies. Stayed in Corning and found this gem on Yelp for breakfast. 4 of us ate there and all of our meals were excellent. Omelets were absolutely loaded, pouched eggs were made to perfection as was the egg and and sausage English muffin. All meals came with home fries and toast (huge plus!!). On top of that the service was excellent. The decor is whimsical and the menu descriptions on their websites are equally witty (somebody sure had a fun time thinking them up!!!) Atmosphere - A little strange as you walk into the place to a hallway to the bathrooms which divides the restaurant into two dining areas. We sat the corner booth with an extra table added. Food Drinks - Just black coffee today, kinda surprised that they did not use the roaster down the street, Heavenly Cup. Breakfast - The Stanley, a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese on a toasted English muffin. I picked sausage for my protein. I was surprised there were two patties on the sandwich. The cheese was more of a sauce. Excellent sandwich. Daughter's Breakfast - My daughter did not finish her breakfast so I was able to have some of her Biscuits and gravy. Ask for your breakfast potatoes well done with cheese n onions, wholly moly. The Einstein caught my eye, a grilled cheese with mozzarella, blueberries, spinach and balsamic dressing. It was good, I'd totally recommend a balsamic glaze or reduction instead since the flavor didn't really come through. I tried the chipped beef on toast as it was house made, unlike the corned beef hash. Also, it's a fond childhood food memory, I've never had it in a restaurant. Typical mom and pop/diner type place. Menu has the typical options; breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken, fish, meatloaf, spaghetti, etc. Food is solid and staff is friendly. Enjoyed their fried fish dinner. Came out hot and fast, large piece of fish, batter was well seasoned and flavorful, fries hot and crisp, and the coleslaw was surprisingly tasty! We're travelling through town and wanted to stretch our legs & try some local fare. We arrived at lunch hour and just about every table was full. We were quickly seated and had a super nice waitress. She helped me pick out a killer vegetarian burger (mushroom & Swiss) and it was as good as she said it would be. What surprised me was that it was huge ! The side of coleslaw was tiny but delish. Solid spot for a nice sit-down brunch. The place was nearly full even in COVID times, but we asked to be seated in the less dense seating area and felt comfortable. The staff was extremely attentive and kind. We got an eggs benedict, bacon/spinch/cheddar omelet, french toast w/ eggs, and sausage/biscuits/gravy plus a short stack for the table. Most of the dishes were very delicious, but the biscuits were really dense and heavy, especially for breakfast/brunch, but I guess that's what you're asking for with biscuits and gravy. Sorry JellyBean but you are not "aging well". I pass through the area every few months and often stop in here. The food is ok diner food now. The service is ok too. We wanted a brunch place so we decided to take the trip to enjoy some brunch on a Sunday morning. I've passed this place before and finally tried it this past weekend. The menu is huge. So many things to choose from and most of it you can order all in the morning, or maybe that's just Sunday morning they let you.. who knows! We stuck to the normal brunch/breakfast portion and I'm glad we did. There is something about someone else making you scrambled eggs that makes it taste that much better. I ordered the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs. I was surprised at how crunchy it was and it didn't come with maple syrup, more like an apple cinnamon dip. The crunchiness went well with the dipping sauce, it was amazing. Difficult to cut but overall delicious. My +1 had the Jalisco wrap and he loved it. The side of potatoes were really tasty, he wished it was more crispy, but I think it's because I took the top and got all the crunch. Coffee isn't bad either! The only negative is the parking lot is small and a little difficult to get out. Our waitress was attentive and super nice. I would come back here. read more

We are here for the Wineglass Half Marathon. We wanted to eat at a local place instead of a chain restaurant. Jelly Beans didn't disappoint. What a great find! Staying in Painted Post to visit the glass museum in Corning. Found Jelly Beans on the Yelp and happy to see it was right across from our Hampton. Amazingly friendly service. We got there at 5 and we beat the crowd-it was packed by 5:30. Nice menu! Varied. We had typical diner fare--fried chicken, stir fry, etc. Super tasty. Fairly standard diner fair. Really great chicken Caesar pita stuffed with almost too much chicken! Good luck trying to eat the whole thing! They have the best pickle fries (deep fried pickle wedges). Jelly Beans was a decent place to have a meal. Nothing flashy, yet not a disappointment. The portions are a very good size and tasty. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient; then again the place was not that busy. Overall glad to have stopped by. I heard that this is the place for breakfast. 2nd day in corning (painted post), 2nd time at Jelly Besns (right across from our hotel). OMG, spot on, deliciousness. All together we had (4of us, 2 days). Stuffed meatloaf (x2), crean of mushroom soup, beef barley soup (soups taste homemade). Chicken dinner (to die for) with side salad(was a big side salad), french fries and biscuit. Stuffed cheeseburger, rice, fish fry, breakfast sandwich, eggs, pancakes, sausage, homefries. All I can say, it is now deemed one of our Togo to places when in the area. Great job Jelly Beans. Ps.
