My wife & I often have chicken at Jeff's on Sunday's. Very good food, good servers, and reasonable prices.

I've yet to try something on their menu that I don't like. Their French onion soup is delicious! Last night we ordered NYE dinner specials to go. My deep fried shrimp and with ribeye was fantastic. My boyfriend got their lobster special dinner and enjoyed it very much. Past orders from us have included the cod, perch, fishermen feast, and the pot roast melt sandwich. All of it is good. Prepandemic, we dined in. We've been doing carry out and they always get the order right. Good quality food at a great price. Looking forward to dining in, hopefully soon! read more

One of the better choices within walking distance of the airport, although it is probably at the limit of walking. However, the food is worth it. Our meals were the EAA prime rib special, only available certain days during the air show and broiled scallops. All the food was spot on and I have a high trust that the other dishes would be too. I was a little concerned about the serving size, I think was 6 scallops and a large portion of vegetables, but with the garlic butter, it was spot on. It was very noisy in the restaurant, but it also got very quiet when one particular table left. We could have a conversation but we were competing at times. Not suggesting this is an issue, but be aware. read more

I came here for dinner on a weeknight. I was called ahead to make a reservation but it wasn't necessary. This place is your typical no frills Wisconsin supper club. We started off of the cheese curds and hot fresh bread came out with it. The cheese curds were so good! For dinner I had the scallops with asparagus. I highly recommend this dish if you like scallops. You get a ton of them for such a good price. I also had some of the filet of sirloin, and that was one of the best steaks I've had in my life. After dinner, we went to the bar to drink and the bartender and all the staff were wonderful. I will definitely be back. Well. I'm a sucker for Wisconsin Supper Clubs. I really am. The bigger the shithole, the more I like it. I think I like them so much, I have put myself at a disadvantage, insomuch as when I stumble across a joint putting out simply competent fare, I register it as a letdown. Unfair, admittedly. Take Jeff's here. I dunno if what we were served was a decent meal, or proof someone in the kitchen didn't care. The place was packed, for real. The locals had to know something. Being in the land of professional drinkers, I HAD to have a heroic Old- Fashioned (Brandy, natch); and it was fine fine fine. Even better at $4.75! I opted for the "House special chicken", which was...nothing special. It was an edible chicken dinner, but nothing to light up the scoreboard. My wife had a Filet Mignon, which she said was not fab. I tasted it. The cut was of good quality, but not realistically seasoned. Prolly the same thing I could say about the chicken. Nothing horrible, but nothing great either. Was I waiting for a culinary frisson, or did I just need to eat? Sometimes a Wisco supper club is just a place to eat, and that's what I believe Jeff's is here. Too many fine reviews for the joint lets me know maybe I was setting the limbo bar a little too low. There was no way the place was going to clear that goal. I think Jeff's was prolly better than I remember it--so give them a chance and eat there. Have a cocktail or two while you're at it. The total tab here was $40. We've spent more at Steak and Shake, fer chrissakes. read more

Kelly is the fastest most a accurate bartender in town. We decided to try them one afternoon and were not disappointed. Breasted chicken and bloodies? Yes! They have chicken specials and drink specials. I kept Kelly on her toes ordering drinks and she not only kept up, but had an amazing attitude and connection with the regulars. I will definitely be back. Came back: not sure if I am more excited about my broasted "cheap" chicken or my loaded baked potato. read more

Just recently moved to Oshkosh and have been looking for our go to spot for fish fry. This place was not it. We ordered for pick up and our order was waiting for us when we got there which was great. We ordered the fisherman's feast which boast that it's enough for 2-3 appetites. We thought this would be perfect since it was two adults and a toddler. However what the portion sizes didn't seem to add up. On top of that everything was super oily. There wasn't much flavor either and the stuff was so soggy and cold, we needed up tossing most of it out. Pretty sure it had been made and sitting for awhile before being tossed into our to go box. read more

We recently moved to this neighborhood and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant! The food quality, price and serving size is awesome! My husband loves the Sunday broiled chicken. I recently tried the fish fry and although it is not like other beer battered fried fish it tasted decent. I won't have it again not because it was breaded and fried just because I like a beer batter better! Love me a plate of broccoli! read more

My mother and I went in for an early dinner on a Saturday just as they were opening. We were greeted & seated immediately offered beverages & time to look at the menu. Our questions about the menu/food options were very pleasantly answered. Our server who was new to the business even took time double checked on a question she wasn't sure about, I really appreciated that. Our server also was attentive and friendly. The food was so delicious, amazing, clean, and fresh. I ordered the Salmon, it was so flavorful moist & cooked to perfection,the asparagus was so good it was crisp & looked so good, the side salad looked so fresh as well and filling, & bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer was a great treat. My Mom order perch & French fries the portions were very generous well presented and tasted excellent. The service all around was AMAZING while there for just over an hour we saw so much teamwork family friendly service it was a great place just to enjoy a meal, conversation and company. Not business related but while there for again little over an hour and out of fifteen seating locations I only saw one person on there phone it makes me feel like this place makes you want to stop put the phone down and focus on who your with. read more

Good drinks, food needs lot of work before I would go again. I had Jeff's chicken and it was very greasy. Brussel sprouts were not particularly good and under done. Overall, I cannot recommend Jeff's going forward. Too bad, but there are better places in Oshkosh. read more

Went here with hubby for their fish fry. Promising sign: Classic Oshkosh bar with lots of cars parked nearby. Arrived at 7:30 and had to wait an hour for a table. Bar was crowded and if you don't like crowds or waiting, this could be an issue. I ordered their perch fish fry while Hubby ordered pan seared walleye pike. I got homemade dumplings with my fish fry, while he got mashed potatoes with his. Dumpling were massively huge. Tasted all right but nothing special. Mashed potatoes were better. The perch fry was great. The pan-seated walleye less so: tasted very very bland. Wouldn't recommend. Service was friendly. Might go again but would stick to perch fry. read more

I reviewed this restaurant a few years back. I know they have suffered recent family tragedies and the onslaught of Covid, but the food quality and service have taken a downward turn. The menu said 10 PC chicken breast for $19.99 pick up. I called for pick up and they said they no longer have this for pick up. If you run a chicken special, put it on your menu, but then change your policy without changing your menu, I won't be back. It's called customer service and satisfaction. read more

Came in last night, Sunday night with 2 friends and the service was absolutely horrible. Took almost 10 minutes to get a drink from the bartender. She seemed intoxicated, walking around eating food off everyone's plates. When we wanted a round of shots, it also took over 10 minutes and she couldn't even remember what we wanted and it was the same for the 3 of us. I had also played a machine and told her I had a ticket and she almost gave it to someone else! Then her boyfriend came in and she would leave the bar and go to the other side to hug and make out with him!! At one point another regular went behind the bar to get us our drink refills. It was a complete shit show. If this would have been my first time here, I would never come back!! And that being said, the 3 of us, that also work in the service industry, likely won't come back!! And I haven't even gotten to the food! The coleslaw was spoiled rotten, the mashed potatoes were gritty, and the burger wasn't cooked!! We've had terrible food before, but the way the bar staff behaved, was completely unacceptable!!! read more

We make it to Jeff's every year when in town for the EAA airshow. This year was no exception and it was the usual good food. The fried chicken dinner is good. Even up to southern standards. We recently moved to Oshkosh and had heard that Jeff's was the place for great fish fry on Friday nights. We decided to check it out. Lots of cars out front and very busy inside. Everyone seemed to know everyone. The bar was busy but hubby and I got a seat. The bartenders were super friendly. We got sat pretty quickly. We ordered cheese curds right away. They were great. Light breading and yummy cheese inside. We both ordered the haddock dinner fried. When the food arrived our sides were super hot but the fish was cold. The pieces on both of our plates were not too big. I took a few bites and it was slimy and cold. I couldn't tell if it was totally done in the center or not. Our waitress was more than accommodating when we asked to get it sent back. When our plates arrived again the fish was nice and hot. Still a little slimy for my taste, but still good. For my side I had the wedges and they were awesome. Hubby had the mashed potatoes with gravy, basic but still good. Besides the fish being cold I was not a huge fan of the breading. It was pretty thick and flavorless. I had heard so much on how awesome the fish was I was expecting a little bit more from the fish itself. Our waitress ended up taking some money off the bill which was very nice and unexpected of her. We would definitely go back and try their other food. But as for the fish fry it was a miss for us. read more

This is a great restaurant , my favorite is Sunday broasted chicken. If you love liver an onions there's are the best also Prime Rib you get a huge portion for the price.. The Friday night Whitefish dinner is fantastic. 1, 3, or 5 pieces of breaded Whitefish, plus your choice of potato (I had the homemade potato dumplings-just like my mom used to make). Jeff's what happened? Honestly, the food used to be better here. Has something changed? The prices seem to have gone up significantly as well. Couple weeks ago I called in a carry out. It was Friday night, I was hungry for fish, but was not feeling well and did not want to wait an hour to be seated. I ordered a fried haddock dinner, 2 cups clam chowder, and a cheese burger. Came to like $24. Burger came with no fries or garnish was small, and my son said it was just ok. Haddock and fries from fish dinner were soft and bland. Soup was bland as well and disappointing. I have been here maybe a total of 2 times. First time I went with my husband and father in law for Friday fish. Was not impressed at all. Seemed like the fish was a day old and the fries were mushy and cold. I gave them a 2nd chance and wasn't not impressed again. My husband and I went for Sunday broasted chicken. Our server gave us our drinks, the hostess then brought us the same drinks 2 minutes later. When we requested refills, she brought us the original drinks that the hostess brought us, which the ice was melted and the sodas were flat. We requested new sodas and were never brought out to us. We were served our chicken and a wing on each of our plates were completely rotten. Smelled and tasted horrible. I only took one bite not realizing right away. I told the server and she brought us new wings (they were not rotten) but did not compensate anything. My husband and I ended up with food poisoning for 2 days from the rotten chicken. We will not be going back here. The food was not worth the price either. read more

If you want good food this is the place,typical Midwest supper club, good drinks small but very clean! Very friendly staff! Great fish frys the batter is light and crispy. Everything we have had here has been very good. Get there early on Fridays very busy. read more
