My fiance and I have been to a lot of restaurants in the fox valley, this was the worst restaurant we have been to by no small margin. The only good thing about it is that we were seated fast and the staff was attentive and friendly. We got water at the start of our visit, which water shouldn't have a taste, no? Our water tasted like battery acid. It was bitter beyond belief, absolutely foul. We asked for bottled water, they didn't have it. We ended up getting wine and an old fashioned. My wine was good, my fiances old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about. We only got an appetizer platter because we were scared to order food based on how the water tasted. Everything was lacking seasoning, lacking SALT. The steak bites were rock hard, it hurt to chew. The only edible thing that we ordered which was the shrimp cocktail. I don't know how this place is rated so high, it may have been good back in the day, however my experience here was abysmal. I won't be returning. read more

I'm a fan of The Roxy. Have been for breakfast and lunch.breakfast is where they really shine. Sundays, they do breakfast from 8-2. Lunch prices are incredibly fair. I had the chicken pecan for lunch which included soup or salad, choice of side and the pecan crust med chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce all for $13. Service is good and there is plenty of seating with different side rooms and the bar. My only complaint is that the Bloody Mary doesn't come with a chaser. It's only a $1 more but you do need to ask for a chaser. read more

The supper club part was very good. Great wine, soup (potato bacon) and salad. My wife had Italian combo and it was very good. Plenty of leftovers. I went with the Saturday special of the Wagyu Ribeye since we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. I ordered medium rare but it came more medium. The flavor was very bland. Nothing from the marbling it is supposed to have. Eating it was very bland. Last time I had the similar priced prime rib and it was much more flavorful. If this is what Wagyu meat is supposed to be like, a regular Ribeye is much more flavorful. Nice staff and very prompt service. They gave us a nice little cake for our anniversary. read more

It's just ok. We sat at the bar comfortably. I ordered whiskey and water. The bartender asked what kind of whiskey. I said scotch is fine. What ever the well is. She went on to tell me scotch is scotch not whiskey. Unbelievable right? Sherri our waitress was fantastic! Appetizers were good. Fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Decent bottle of wine at a decent price. The prime rib ordered medium rare was tasty but tough. Almost $30 for a medium cut. I probably won't revisit the Roxy as it is amateurish. There used to be a supper club in the 90s that had the best prime rib I've ever had. The Winery or Winemaker or something. Take a lesson Roxy. And don't insult your customers. read more

Came here based on the recommendations of some EAA pilots. We landed for the Oshkosh EAA AirVenture in the morning and after setting up in the Vintage area, got to Roxy's about 3 pm. Great wait staff gave us the luncheon menus. I ordered the chopped sirloin with provolone, roasted veggies, asparagus and a side salad with house peppercorn dressing. Best side salad ever! Chopped sirloin was perfectly medium as ordered. Veggies great. Grandson had the stuffed tenderloin siciliano and a cup of cream of chicken soup. Grand daughter had meatballs and Spagetti. Son had French dip on sour dough bread. Husband had the Chicken Little Rock. All raved about their food. Everything came out quickly and hot. Portions were huge and the prices VERY reasonable. Will be back to try other things off the extensive menu! read more

Otherwise we are swimming in fast food restaurants We had a Christmas party there in early Jan, I had the best Baked Haddock, never had better, a nice salad and the softest dinner rolls! Yum! My wife and I had the veal oscar and veal imperial. The sauce tasted and appeared like from a jar very bland over the breaded veal and I hardly noticed any crab on top on my Oscar. The meal was not fresh hot though we did get soup (average clam chowder) and salad. The old fashions were not muddled or real flavorable. We both ate 1/2 our meal and did not get the rest to go. The bar and restaurant were busy. A very forgetable meal. We might but likely wont be back. I had a jumbalaya type meal the last time a couple years ago which was very good I should of stuck with. The Roxy was the perfect spot for a Thanksgiving eve feast in Oshkosh, our first visit to this community. We arrived on the early side, took seats at the bar, and were warmly welcomed by bartenders Lucas and Alex. After cocktails--Alex makes a great brandy old fashioned, Lucas is equally good at martinis--we ordered an appetizer and our entrees from gracious Jade. My wife's broiled walleye and my prime rib were delicious as were the garlic mashed potatoes. Alas, given the portion sizes there was no room for dessert. When my husband declared "that's the best steak I've ever had!" You know this place is something special. Very large beautiful bar full of welcoming patrons and bar tenders. This place gets packed and right fully so. Drinks are anything and everything you'd like. Dinner starts with soup/salad. Hot bacon dressing is on point. I had a beef soup and it was absolutely amazing-just like grandma's. Steaks were done to perfection. The specials were a good choice. Overall I can't wait to go back-I would take anyone here. I want to start off by saying that none of this was the staffs fault. They were doing the best they could. Tonight a friend and I went here for dinner. We were told that there was a 120 person party in the back, but we would be seated in a couple minutes. Ok. Well, things got confused and our name was lost. They apologized profusely and sat us. No problem, its busy. They really were doing all they could. We ordered an appetizer and it was MASSIVE. Like it could feed 20 people. Ok cool. It was delicious. Then we wait. And wait. And wait. My friend and I both had ordered a burger (no modifications). After an hour and a half. A plain piece of burger meat, with a slice of cheese on top arrives. We just started laughing. At least she gave us ketchup. To be fair the burger was cooked perfectly. My suggestion would be if it wasn't already done, was to bring in staff for the party versus splitting them between front and back, or closing down the restaurant partially to accommodate such a party size. I absolutely LOVE a classic supper club and this place does not disappoint. When in Rome you need to have a classic martini with rare prime rib which I did of course! I couldn't believe that a 12oz prime rib was only $25 which is an incredible deal considering you get a salad plus a side. The drinks are also reasonably priced so you can't go wrong. It's the classic supper club environment and you definitely need to make sure you have a reservation because this place is packed. If you don't and have to wait the bar is a cozy place to hang out until your table is ready. read more

I worked as Kitchen Prep at The Roxy restaurant located at 571 N Main St, Oshkosh, WI from approximately November of 2023 to July of 2024. During my time there, I witnessed several very concerning instances regarding food safety, handling, storage, and other concerns. -Old bread would be thrown into a disgusting garbage can. This bread would sit for several days before being chopped up to be used for stuffing or the like. While it sat there, numerous other employees would throw various pieces of trash, (such as used napkins, plastic, or even half-eaten food, into the bread trash can, completely ignoring the signs that said BREAD ONLY. I observed this dozens of times, as I was the one who had to chop up the bread. I complained to management NUMEROUS times about that disgusting negligence, and nothing was ever done about it. -There is not a single area of that kitchen that is clean. No care was taken to ensure that any areas got deep cleaned or attended to, despite being badly required. The only concern was countertops where food would be prepped, prepared. -Sheet pans would be left to sit with standing water in them from the dishwasher. Various other dishes would be put back into dirty coolers and other areas that are disgusting and unsanitary before being used again. Small stains or bits of food on serving plates and bowls would be wiped of with fingers or dirty aprons before being used as serving dishes to customers. -I witnessed numerous instances of unsanitary and dangerous practices by other employees. Salads would be prepared without gloves with unsanitary hands, before being served to customers. I witnessed several instances of employees using their bare hands to mix large batches of coleslaw or tartar sauce, contaminating the entire batch. My complaints were dismissed by management. -When I parted from the company, they were having issues with mice. There was a large hole where mice were getting into the walk in cooler and it took nearly a month to address the hole. It was very common to see dead mice downstairs in the basement where all the dry goods and supplies are stored. - The 5 gallon buckets which are used for nearly everything in for prepared items were always disgusting. It was 50/50 chance that it can not be used and had to go back to the dishwasher. Raw fish would sit in the buckets for hours, go through the dishwasher once, then immediately be used to prepare something like ranch sauce while still wet. -Order of food safety storage was not always followed. Raw meats would be stored above pasta, vegetables, or other ready-to-eat items on stack racks, despite the proper order being posted. Management seemed incapable or unwilling to address the issue. Their practices and apathy are unacceptable. read more

I am rating it three stars because I don't think anything went through particularly wrong. I think what I experienced was exactly as intended and exactly what keeps this place busy, maybe it's just not for me. I would call it "brown town", the place is so artificially and dimly lit it makes me miss my grandparents. The food is all the same texture and for the most part brown, the salad cried when I added dressing to it because it had already given up the fight a long time ago. These poor shrimp wrapped in bacon tried their best to bring some discernable flavor or texture but gave up a few minutes after being thrown into the fat vat. Its a staple in the community and I guess if you had 3-5 drinks in you, this type of food was what you knew as "fine dining" it would be passable. This is not a review about a bad experience, I don't think anything has gone downhill. I think I got exactly what was the norm, and this just ain't my way to have fun son. read more

This is a very large supper club. The bar area was very large and totally packed when I walked in at 5pm on a Wednesday. Once I found the hostess station, I was happily greeted and was asked if I wanted to be seated right away and I said I did. She took me to a dining room that was down a hall. After I was seated, I was greeted by my server. She was very attentive and helpful. I ordered the Early Bird Prime Rib and was very happy I did. I ordered medium rare, and it was perfect and very tender. The portion for the special was not small, it was what I would consider a normal size cut. The accompanying au jus was very flavorful and complimentary to the taste of the meat. I ordered the Garlic Mashed Potatoes for my side, and I was glad I did. They were homemade with some of the skin left, but not too much. There was a good flavor of garlic, and it was very tasty. I forgot to mention that my meal also came with soup or salad, and I ordered the Chicken Dumpling soup, it was excellent. The broth was very tasty and flavorful and the dumplings good as well, you can tell that it was homemade, very fresh. I can see why it is a favorite there. Overall, this place is really nice. The menu is large, and you should be able to find something for everyone. One thing to note, it is a VERY busy place. read more

If you are looking for a super cool supper club check out this one! On our travels from Milwaukee to Green Bay we came across the Roxy in Oshkosh. We decided to go eat dinner there because Tuesday night was German night and my boyfriend absolutely loves German food. They had the most amazing menu offering different German recipes along with their huge regular menu. We decided to sit at the bar because we love getting to chat with the bartenders, enjoying cocktails and eat our dinner. Megan and Frank were absolutely fantastic. We had the best time talking to them and drinking their amazing cocktails and German beer. I tried the dill pickle martini which was absolutely excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with oysters on the half shell and bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizers. For dinner I got the Jager schnitzel with red cabbage and potato pancakes, all homemade deliciousness. My boyfriend got the rouladen with red cabbage and hot German potato salad. The meals all came with soup, salad and two side choices with your meal. You will not leave hungry! If I could give less I would... this place left us high and dry the day of an event. I have 20 family members from out of town to attend a memorial for an uncle who passed with dinner following the funeral at The Roxy. We made our reservation with The Roxy 3 weeks in advance and provided contact details. Today, the day of the event we called ahead to affirmed they would be ready for our party. They said we canceled our reservation. Never happened... they said someone walked in and said the reservation was not legitimate. Never mind we were not in town, or know anyone there so this couldn't have happened. Never mind that there was a phone number attached to the reservation that they never called. The Roxy left my father in-law on the curb, a 94 year old WWII veteran and our entire family here to honor a lost member of our family. It's 2019 and the supper club is alive and doing very well in Wisconsin! I lived in The state over 30 years ago and have been to quite a few over the years. And while supper clubs have evolved, the Roxy was excellent in all aspects. We were there on a Friday night and were told the wait time was about an hour. We got our pager, took a walk around the area, sat at the back bar with a drink, and were paged in about 30 minutes. There is plenty of room to wait, with two bars, additional seating in both those areas, and a decent amount of other open space. Once seated, we got our bread and cracker basket and put in our food orders. Our salads arrived quickly, and were a nice mix of greens with the addictive, Parmesan peppercorn dressing. For entrees, my wife got the special that day, Pecan Encrusted Salmon. It was tender, tasty, a nice-sized portion, and served with tasty hollandaise sauce, and fresh asparagus. I got the decadent Veal Parmesan. It was an amazingly tender piece of veal with a tasty sauce, a mound of melted cheese, and great pasta. All that...and a hot breadstick! Service was very attentive and efficient. Prices are very reasonable, and with generous serving sizes, are quite a deal. It's all a supper club should be-great comfort food, quick service, and a satisfied appetite. read more

We came to the Valley for the weekend to hit as many supper clubs as we could. The Roxy made the list for brunch on the way back toward Madison. We were seated right away, and had someone stop by shortly after. The price points for trying PRIME RIB and all sorts of yummy things was SO REASONABLE! My husband still raves about the sausage stuffed hash browns. He thinks every restaurant should have them on the menu. The prime rib was also delicious. We had great service too! Having had their ribs and stuffed tenderloin, I'm convinced they know what they are doing. Breaking down the supper club experience. The bar is physically huge. The drinks are made well and the price was reasonable ($3.75 for a rail drink). Several televisions are in the bar. The menu is vast. If you can't find what you want, you aren't hungry. Seafood, steaks and pastas a plenty. We had a combo appetizer with this meal. The best deep fried cheese curds, very tasty chicken strips and haystack style onion rings. A ample serving. In addition to fresh bread, soup (beef noodle) and a salad came with the tenderloin. I love to eat and this meal ensured I was full when finished. The tenderloin was simply the best I've tasted. What was supposed to be a night of celebration turned into a night of chaos. We did have a large group, but I had heard good things about Roxy supper club and thought they would be able to handle it. We arrived, checked in, and sat at the bar; the bartender was a wonderful young man, very attentive, and got us our drinks immediately, even with the number of people at his bar. Well, then came the time for us to be seated - we had two waitresses to handle our group - one waitress not only forgot to take my order when my daughter approached her to let her know what I wanted she came off snippy - not a good way to handle it - second my nephew's order was never put in until we asked about it and WE WERE CHARGED for it - cold and not very good - drinks had to ask twice to get anything. I've lived in Oshkosh my whole life but never went until recently, I've always thought it was more of a fancy place. I thought it was cool that they have 2 bars and the places set up was different than I have seen before. I was excited to try the chicken cordon bleu but I'd say it was average and wouldn't order it again. It was supposed to have a cheese sauce over the top but I'm pretty sure it was just melted American cheese like a craft single.. and the potato pancakes were eh. It was German night and I enjoyed the German chowder. Our waitress seemed nice but when asking her about items on the menu she didn't speak very highly of the menu. My fiancés grandpa ordered something that had gravy and there was so much gravy it was almost dripping off the plate and he could hardly cut through his dumplings, they looked so dense. We travel to Wisconsin almost every year and we try to eat at the Roxy - I grew up in Oshkosh and my parents always ate there so it's fun to return. We went a few weeks ago and the food was abysmal. My partner got fried perch which came with soup and I had stir fried vegetables with wild rice. The soup was two steps beyond thickened and was like eating library paste. Perch - the reason we stopped - was over-breaded, greasy, and was not fresh. The stir-fry was overcooked vegetables smothered with a cornstarch thickened brown sauce. Remember canned Chinese food from the seventies? It was that over salted brown thick paste. There was a LOT of food served, sadly most of it not good enough to want to eat. read more
