Great experience. We stopped in for lunch and what an awesome meal. I got the smash burger and a family member had the crab cakes sliders as well as a couple of Wisconsin clam chowder soup. Everything tasted fantastic. The staff was super friendly and they even made cider hot per a request.. the place is situated on the lake and the view is spectacular. Bartender made the incorrect drink , ...instead of remaking the drink or offering to make something else , he argued that the description of said drink was a misprint on the drink menu . Customer is always wrong at that bar I guess. Honestly all he had to do was to apologize and make it right ...no excuses . It's the sign of a good Bartender when they can own thier mistakes. It put the waitress in the middle , she was uncomfortable , customers were unhappy and did not drink what was made . At 18 dollars a drink - it better be right and better be amazing ! Sorry Mr. Bartender , when you're behind the bar , you represent the entire restaurant , check your ego at the door and focus on the customers experience , not your own. We had dinner as well, food was mediocre at best but we didn't say anything to our waitress ...she did nothing wrong . read more

Although the menu had a prime rib sandwich, we were told the it was out of season (who knew prime rib had a season!) and was replaced by a pulled pork sandwich. But why wouldn't you change it on the menu? We pivoted to soup and pizza and it was just ok. Also they are a non-cash establishment. Drop anchor at Oshkosh's newest flavor port- you won't be disappointed. My husband and I have been coming to Oshkosh for the better part of the last two years and although we were satisfied (at best) with the food at Ground Round, we were blown away by Anchor and Port. Let me just put in a disclaimer that Ground Round was an okay restaurant for us but it lacked culinary flavor and although Anchor and Port may be new to some guests staying at the hotel, I feel like this is exactly what makes this restaurant stand out from others on the block. When you walk in, you can't help but be blown away by the upgrade in infrastructure; the whole entire space feels so much bigger, more brighter and more welcoming. My favorite part was that there was a bit of Wisconsin incorporated into the space- it made it feel more homey. The first thing I noticed was the versatility of the seating- there are booths for families but also tables facing the water that is more intimate for two. This place offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and from my own experience, it tastes fresh like it was made on the spot. I can taste a frozen store bought patty from a mile away but you won't find that here. For lunch my husband and I had the griddle smash burger- I've never had a Worcester aioli but if you love Worcester sauce, you're going to absolutely love this! The juiciness of the burger along with the caramelized onions is unmatched- you can ask to have the caramelized onions removed but trust me you'd be missing out. For dinner we tried the Atlantic salmon and beef stroganoff- I didn't even get to take a picture of it because we were locked in on the smell as soon it arrived. I've had different variations of beef stroganoff but this one just had a flavor that made me savor every bite. Decent size and presentation, it was cooked to perfection. My husband said the Atlantic salmon was really good- the key to a good salmon is not drying it out in the process of cooking and this was definitely not dried out. The balsamic glaze sealed the deal in terms of taste. For my husband who loves his breakfast meal, he loved the omelette. I devoured the bagel and lox and highly recommend it. I asked to have the capers removed but otherwise it was delicious. The only complaint I have about this place is that I wish they served cappuccinos because otherwise I have to go down the street to another establishment. If we had a cappuccino machine on sight, I'd really have no reason to leave the hotel for dining purposes! The staff was really nice, our server Riley was so attentive, kind and just happy being at work. It's hard to find staff that genuinely enjoys being at work and that makes people feel happy to be there! Thank you Riley for being a great server! Overall highly recommend you check it out for yourself- you won't regret it! read more

We enjoyed dinner and breakfast during our overnight stay. The restaurant & lounge are connected to the front lobby and are beautiful open spaces. There is a lot of seating in the bar area that should promote lively conversation. The interior decorating is done in light neutral colorations. The lighting is a little bright and should be dimmed down for a more inviting atmosphere. My beef stroganoff was excellent and the side salad was fresh with thinly sliced carrots and vegetables. My wife had the double smash burger, although not large it had good flavor. Our service was good at both meals. read more

The menu changed a week ago. The new one is extremely limited. This is not the same place. No, the food was not good. The curds were over done. The flank steak was swimming in an oily pesto. Worst was the no label for nuts warning. The waitress was nice, but probably shared more info than we needed. We did not see breakfast items at all. We won't recommend this place. read more

It was my husband and I's first time at Anchor and Port. We went for restaurant week. Really great atmosphere. They were short staffed so, the two girls that were working tried really hard to make sure all patrons were taken care of. The special menu for restaurant week was great! Newly refurbished restaurant in the Marriott hotel. We had a party of seven for our dinner and ordered several different options from burgers to stroganoff and a few things in between along with the roasted Brussels sprouts which were fantastic. Each one of us enjoyed our dinner very much, my choice was the smoked schnitzel which was a definite winner. Only one waitress working who provided exceptionally good service and was very personable. Will definitely return and I am looking forward to it. Highly recommend that you give it a try. read more
