We went there right around 4:15 pm on a Thursday, and I was quite busy already, 15 minutes after opening (good for them!). The bar was completely full, so we got a table. The two beers were ordered were good, but it was a pain ordering them; many breweries I go to have a dedicated "Order here" area for those not lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. My suggestion to the owners: take out one of your bar seats on one end or the other, so there people can walk up and order instead of invading the space of those sitting at the bar. Decent beers. I was there early afternoon on Father's Day. It was a bit busy for a single bartender but she did a great job pouring beers, filling cans, making popcorn.... Nice place on the north side of town. Dog friendly. Near the bike path. They have a few guest beers on tap as well as wine and spirits. read more

Elizabeth serves all the most popular beer in all If the land. Bare bones is a clean nice open space with theirs and others on tap. Fresh farm eggs and fresh coffee beans (that were not available) but waaaay more than we bargained for. The beers are brewed well and there is a wide choice. My favorite? The Bitch in Heat. Strawberry/jalapeño. So delicious. The brewery is a title Out of town and and off the beaten path. But worth the trip, and I will be back. read more

If you like beer, bikes, and dogs then Bare Bones Brewery is the spot for you. This hidden gem is off of Highway 45 and really close to a bike trail. I've sampled Bare Bones at a couple of beer festivals, but haven't had the chance to indulge myself and I was in the area....this was my chance! First, they have a neat outdoor patio area with picnic tables. One side of the brewery there are bike racks galore. It's very biker friendly and a convenient spot when you need a break on the trail. The tap room is kind of small, but they make good use of the space. Lots of 4 person tall tables, and lots of seats at the bar. There are TV screens that has their menu. Besides their own beer, they had a few guest taps from other local breweries. If you like board games, they got them, plus some sweet customized cribbage boards. The logo for the brewery is a dog. Along with the dog decor, the beer is dog related such as Dog Daze, Dirty Snout Stout, and Bitch in Heat. I had their Big Red Dog barleywine ale (two thumbs up) and a collaboration stout beer with Lion's Tail Brewing (two more thumbs up). I was surprised on a Saturday afternoon the place was almost full. It has a good vibe and beer. It really reminds me of a lot of the breweries I visited in Seattle. Can't wait to come back and try some more. read more

This place is wonderful! We have always driven by it on our way home from up north and we finally decided to stop today. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. The beer is phenomenal and we love that it's called bare bones because of them referring to their 3 dogs. The dog theme is amazing and I would come back over and over and recommend anyone to stop in. Small craft brewery with a good sized tasting room. Depending on when you arrive you can find adequate space or it may be crowded. (Standing room only). Their in-house beers all have a dog theme in their name. They make an excellent Scotch Ale, only problem is that it is seasonal. Along with dog-themed beer names, the establishment is dog-friendly. I have been there 3 times so far and every time have seen one or more dogs. They (as well as their owners) are friendly - provided you are friendly to them. read more

Cool small town brewery. The bar tenders and people are really friendly. They had live music on the day we went and the guy was really good. We sampled quite a few of their beers. Favorites included the imperial milk stout, and the limon lager. The stout was higher gravity and aged but not overly heavy or sweet. The lager was light with a hint of lime that didn't over power like some other fruit beers it was a really nice blend. The red beer was good and smooth. Their regular stouts we solid, nothing out of the ordinary but good. The other fruit beer was a strawberry jalapeño beer which was actually good but I don't think I could do a whole glass of it. We ended up taking a growler of the limon and a growler of the red home, we would have taken the imperial stout but it was not available to go. Wish they had half growlers though so that I could take home more of a variety. read more

What a great place! My fiancé and I love checking out new breweries, and this was no disappointment. Tap house is simple, open room with a few tables and the bar, free popcorn. We played a few games of darts, chatted with the owner, very nice guy. Beer is great, we tried the Amber, the Braver Hund (my favorite), the IPA, and the Cream Ale. Would definitely recommend. My brother and stopped in on a road trip. We love beer and we love brew pubs. Been a long day and we were ready for some tasty suds. The environment was very open and airy. Nice and simple. Young bartender was busy telling loud stories about his drinking escapades. Not impressed. They had a long list of beers. Bro got a 'Summer Stout'. He asked why is it called a summer stout? The answer 'It's a dark beer that they brewed on nitro'. I ordered an Irish red. The Irish red was really heavy in coffee flavor, no other flavor to speak of. Not great. The Stout was not on Nitro, and it was not good. Only real flavor I could pick out was vinegar. Bartender didn't even ask us if we liked the beer, just kept on bathe ring at other end of bar. Did something I have never done. We both left half a pint undone. It only gets two stars because there is a shuffleboard table, if you were drinking something good that would be fun. I am a at home brewer and I myself want to open a brewery. Tonight I had the unfortunate experience to meet your "master brewer". We were refilling our growler with some beer. You ran out, no problem. The growler was half full. The new bartender was nice. She asked the brew master how much to charge and he started arguing with us. I brought new people in the bar. He dumped out the growler into another one to prove if it was half full or not. We didn't care. We just wanted to know a fair price for half a growler. He got a huge attitude and I told him I was local and met you guys. That he should treat customers without an attitude. He responded that he didn't care and he would tell Dan about me on monday. He went on to make it clear that he does not report to pat. I told him I blog on untapped about how great this place is and I would post a review about him. He laughed at me. This was a terrible experience. My friends and I have money and don't care about a couple dollars. We tipped the new bartender well and left without any beer. I hope you get this. Best wishes. I loved this place! Decor is "bare bones" so you can bring your dog. Bartender wonderful. Great variety of home brews. Highly recommend.
