Elizabeth serves all the most popular beer in all If the land. Bare bones is a clean nice open space with theirs and others on tap. Fresh farm eggs and fresh coffee beans (that were not available) but waaaay more than we bargained for. The beers are brewed well and there is a wide choice. My favorite? The Bitch in Heat. Strawberry/jalapeño. So delicious. The brewery is a title Out of town and and off the beaten path. But worth the trip, and I will be back.

    Oktoberfest by Bare Bones Brewery

The Oktoberfest is the best! Nice flavor and smooth. I found this on tap at a bar in Northern Wisconsin had to look them up. Highly recommend.

If you like beer, bikes, and dogs then Bare Bones Brewery is the spot for you. This hidden gem is off of Highway 45 and really close to a bike trail. I've sampled Bare Bones at a couple of beer festivals, but haven't had the chance to indulge myself and I was in the area....this was my chance! First, they have a neat outdoor patio area with picnic tables. One side of the brewery there are bike racks galore. It's very biker friendly and a convenient spot when you need a break on the trail. The tap room is kind of small, but they make good use of the space. Lots of 4 person tall tables, and lots of seats at the bar. There are TV screens that has their menu. Besides their own beer, they had a few guest taps from other local breweries. If you like board games, they got them, plus some sweet customized cribbage boards. The logo for the brewery is a dog. Along with the dog decor, the beer is dog related such as Dog Daze, Dirty Snout Stout, and Bitch in Heat. I had their Big Red Dog barleywine ale (two thumbs up) and a collaboration stout beer with Lion's Tail Brewing (two more thumbs up). I was surprised on a Saturday afternoon the place was almost full. It has a good vibe and beer. It really reminds me of a lot of the breweries I visited in Seattle. Can't wait to come back and try some more.

In fact, at 7 pm on a Thursday, there wasn't even a dozen people in the restaurant to begin with. Everything was decorated for Valentine's Day which was a cute addition. The domes are also heated which made things nice, but you can't really see the river which is the point of the domes. Additionally, our server didn't really check on us and it took a while to get the condiments missing when the food arrived. We ordered a variety of items with the ny strip being the best of what we tried. The au jus was rather bland, the fries were crispy but had no flavor, the fish was quickly soggy due to all the oil not being drained. We added on hush puppies to the fish and chips.... $5 for 5 hush puppies. Would not suggest doing that, not worth the up charge. There is an eclectic mix of things on the menu but nothing that would lead me to recommend someone to try this place. The beer selection was great however so if you are looking for a place to grab a drink, the tap room feels like a great option. The restaurant however is more for vibes than a quality meal.

It was "seat yourself" on the patio and it was quite busy so it took a while to get service at all. Eventually we ordered drinks, which then took so long to come out that the waiter apologized profusely. My husband and I both asked for water-the waiter only brought one glass instead of two. By this time, I was thinking "this is going to take forever..". Luckily- it didn't take forever at all. Once we placed out appetizer and food order-everything came out within 10 minutes. It was so strange to be so slow..and then..so fast. Our food was pretty good. I ordered a grilled shrimp Poke bowl. The rice was Al dente-definitely not my favorite for rice. There also was a drizzle of sauce on it, which was a little spicy, but I was able to eat it without problem. Everything else in the bowl was fresh and delicious. My husband had fish tacos, which he also really enjoyed. And the portion was pretty big too! My teenage son had a late lunch so he just snacked on a hot pretzel and cheese curds, both of which were hot and tasty. A good spot to eat outdoors and listen to music!
