Came in during EAA, a little before the show was over, so it wasn't packed. By the time we left, it was getting full. The place has an attitude, at least in their menu, signs, etc. Amusing rules and bristly signs and comments. But service was actually great. Now, it's a bar, so it's not exactly full service. But the bartenders were super helpful and friendly, and came out to the table once in a while to check. You go up there to order your food and you go pick it up, but they were not as mean as the attitude the place projects would have you believe. It's a bar. Maybe if you mess with them, they get scrappy. But if you are decent, they go above and beyond. The decor is amusing and it's pretty typical Wisconsin-bar, or any bar, stuff. The beer menu was interesting though limited. The food menu was also kind of limited, but there are plenty of choices for anybody. I had a hard time picking from several good options. I went with the appetizer sampler, with curds, fries, and chicken tenders. Came out and it was huge. I couldn't finish it all. Great tenders, great fries, great curds. Your choice of sauce. Always a great time when we've gone to Pete's. Food is always tasty and I always get a nice swirl on.

When I want the best burger in the area and a good laugh, this is where I go. You have to be ready for some good humor dished your way and some smack talking. This bar isn't very large so I always come before dinner rush, but there's a huge back patio with lots of seating in summer. It's just delicious bar food and amazing burgers and a price you cannot beat. And if they mess up your order, it's the most entertaining thing hearing them talk crap about themselves. read more
