Oh, where do I begin with this culinary train wreck? Our waitress, Stephanie, had the kind of "I hate my job" expression that could make a statue cry. She took our drink order and then vanished into the Bermuda Triangle of waitstaff for a solid 57 minutes. I half expected her to come back with a treasure map instead of our food. When she finally returned, she brought me a drink that was so far from my Hendricks and tonic, I could practically hear it laughing at my taste buds. I called her out on it, and she stormed off to the bar to have a heart-to-heart with her "friends." I didn't realize sending back a drink would turn me into public enemy number one! Sorry, Stephanie, but I didn't mean to ruin your social hour--my bad for wanting what I actually ordered! Now, let's move on to the food. We sat down at 7 PM, and by the time our dishes finally graced our table at 9 PM, I was ready to file a missing persons report. When the steaks finally arrived, they looked as bland and boring as a beige wall--dry, lifeless, and utterly uninspired. To top it off, the steak I ordered rare came out well done, a culinary crime I didn't think possible. It sat on the plate like it had given up on life, and as if that wasn't enough, my plate featured the neat touch of a broken bone, as if to remind me that even the cutlery had given up hope. And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, they completely forgot one of our food orders. Nothing like eating alone at a table meant for two--just me and my overcooked steak, having a very one-sided dinner conversation. To add insult to injury, the manager decided to come over and cut me off mid-rant, telling me I had to leave, as if my complaints were an affront to his establishment. After that delightful exchange, I waited another 20 minutes for the check, which felt like an eternity. In a surprising twist, Stephanie did redeem herself with what I can only describe as a kindergarten-level apology about how bad everything was. It was endearing, really, in a "I-have-no-idea-how-to-fix-this" kind of way. Two hours for mediocre, overpriced food that tasted like it had been prepared in a time machine set to the 1990s. The decor? Oh, it was a trip down memory lane--if that lane was lined with expired trends and bad decisions. This place clearly thinks its name is the greatest football coach of all time, but let's be real: it's more like the worst place of all time. If only they put as much effort into their service and food as they do into their ego, we might have been in for a real game-changer. But alas, I guess we'll just have to settle for a legendary disappointment instead!

Celebrated a holiday on a work trip here. Rather small steakhouse but very attentive service and staff. We had Debby who took care of our large table of 12. Food was very tasty and we ordered a massive spread. Good wine cellar options but had quite a few options that were out of stock. Manager came out and apologised himself so good care there. As any steakhouse the pricing is on the very high side but that's to be expected with the territory

Premium beef carries the day again! Ues; the appetizers include Shrimp Cocktaik and a tasty Onion & Artichoke Dip, the full bar offers a Chocolate Okkd Fashioned and a great Chocollate Martini, and many of the salad dressings are made inhouse - BUT the meat makes this place a winner. Tons of Lombardi photos and memorabilia adorn the dark-panelled walls. Service was exceptional and discreet from start to finish. Not cheap, but worrh every dime for speciaal occasions.

Steak was amazing and the lobster Mac was also super good! In terms of steakhouse the meat was kickass and sides were good no complaints plus the green-bay lore on the walls

We had a fabulous meal here to celebrate the birth of our baby. The staff is so friendly, the food was cooked perfectly, the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality. We are from Los Angeles and this was the best restaurant in Appleton we discovered by far!

Great atmosphere. I made the mistake of ordering veal in a steak venue which was horribly over sauced and not pounded before cooking.

We arrived around 4:30 pm on a Wednesday and were seated immediately for the two of us, which was lovely. I started with a filthy martini (one part vodka, one part olive juice)... and they nailed it. Exactly what I asked for. My mom ordered a whiskey old fashioned press, which she enjoyed. For appetizers, we ordered the French onion soup, deep-fried mozzarella, and bacon-wrapped scallops. My mom also had the soup of the day, which was a turkey pot pie soup. Everything was very good overall. One small note on the scallops, and this is important for context: I personally have a strong aversion to seafood, and my mom is usually careful not to order seafood around me because even the smell can make me nauseous. However, scallops are usually an exception, as they don't tend to have a strong seafood odor. In this case, there was no unpleasant smell at all, which I appreciated. That said, the scallops themselves appeared under-seared and very pale, and the bacon was undercooked. Not raw, just soft and not crispy. My mom agreed it could have used a few more minutes. A minor miss, but worth mentioning. For my entrée, I ordered the French dip, which came with carrots... and honestly, the carrots deserve their own moment. They were tiny, perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, buttery, and balanced with just the right amount of sweet and salty. I love carrots, and these were exceptional. Highly recommend. My mom ordered a Wednesday special trio, which included barbecue ribs, pineapple glazed ham, and a turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. I'll note that the ham itself was delicious, but the pineapple glaze wasn't quite for me personally, as it leaned a bit too tangy for my taste. That said, the turkey was phenomenal. I had a bite, and it was moist, flavorful, and absolutely something I'll come back for. The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. I love stuffing, but this one wasn't my favorite; it tasted slightly sour or underdone to me, though that could simply be a preference thing. I'd still order the turkey dinner again without hesitation. Because it was my birthday, our server Jenny surprised me with a slice of chocolate cake, which was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. I was very full... but yes, I ate the cake, and it was delicious. We also split a Pink Squirrel for dessert, which was rich, nostalgic, and the perfect way to end the meal. Service was excellent throughout the evening. Jenny was warm, attentive, and paced everything perfectly. Food came out efficiently without overwhelming the table. The hostess was also welcoming and kind. The dining room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The lighting was just right, not too dark. We also arrived at a great time, because shortly after our entrées came out, the restaurant quickly filled up. One small suggestion: the website mentions half-price apps and drink discounts, but it isn't clear that those specials are bar-area only. Not a huge issue for us, but clearer wording online would help manage expectations, especially for guests who can't sit at high bar seating. Overall, this was a really special dinner, especially after years of hearing about the Red Ox and never going. More positives than negatives by far. Final rating: 8.5 / 10 We'll absolutely be back... especially for the turkey dinner and those carrots.

We had fun listening, even though we were sitting at the bar. Dinning experience was only so-so however. Thing I really liked was the French Roquefort dressing (for salad). My Prime Rib was better than average, but my wife's steak was so underdone (for her, medium well tastes) the center was not even medium rare! Her Haddock was tasty however. We both also ordered hash browns as a side, my wife's browns came out first and they were great. I was told that that mine would be out in a minute. What came out was definitely freezer burnt, gray and oily. My browns did not even look like my wife's, and tasted terrible. Because we had plenty to eat, I just shared my wife's and left mine. I did show the waitress. . She told me I should have told her earlier, she would have had them remake them. That would have been great if she would have been at the table more than the one time she said "how are the first few bites". Never got a refill on my water, even though I asked. (It's funny... she did ask if she could refill my alcoholic beverage multiple times when that was empty!) I'll say we did really enjoy the barroom entertainment, dining experience... maybe not so much. Plus.. kind of thought that when I didn't eat my hash-browns that my wife didn't eat most of her steak that maybe they would have offered a dessert or something....

We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.
