It seriously needs to be updated, unless you like that sort of thing. Then again, I sort of do. There are two other negatives: the prices they charge and the rules they enforce. It seems like there's a "Don't do this" or a "We won't do that" everywhere. Why would any business, especially a restaurant, put so many negatives in front of its customers? I just wanted to make a substitution on my plate, and the menu said right at the top that it wasn't allowed. Really? I probably would have spent more money on a different entrée, but the message put me off. As for the prices, this place is very expensive for what you get. There's no way their 8 oz filet mignon with a baked potato should cost $50. It's not that good. The best steak restaurant in Appleton is at least $10 less. They seem to know it, too, since they try to convince you that you're getting a good value and a better price per ounce. Again, really? I'd definitely say check it out if you've never been. Every sandwich option is served on a bun which has cheese baked into the top; there are no options for buns without cheese (not a great setup for those not enjoying, or able to enjoy, cheese). The level of service from the waitstaff is poor. When I ordered a chicken sandwich, and asked for no cheese on the sandwich, the waiter did not have the skills necessary to think, "Hey, if he doesn't want cheese on his sandwich, maybe I should mention the cheese-covered bun." Big fail there. Furthermore, the same waiter didn't bother to ask if anyone who ordered the all-you-can-eat soup and salad wanted more soup. He was really too stand-offish and not conscientious enough. I do not recommend this place. The prices are way too high for the quality of food and the level of service is subpar. If you want a top-notch dining experience, with better food at better prices served by better quality staff, try the Northbrook in Luxemburg.

But I will say the manager is very interested in all feedback, and they listened to what we had to say. The menu itself is good, but they do charge you for absolutely everything. The only thing that's free is tap water. Going this week, things have marginally improved. It still took more than 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive once we ordered at the table. The food was all okay according to the other people in my party. For me, the filet that I ordered medium was way overcooked and dry, and the mac and cheese I ordered with it might as well have been a soup. The French onion soup I ordered as an appetizer was lukewarm, and the cheese wasn't even melted. The server was clearly new at this and was trying but was generally not on top of things. Again, everything is measured by what the restaurant is trying to be, which is a high-end steakhouse with commensurate prices, versus what we got. Everybody in my party generally agreed they're unlikely to come back anytime soon, but would be willing to try it again if it's still there in a year or so.
