Loved the sing along piano man in the bar. Jealous of the people who claimed the seats around the piano... looked like they were having a lot of fun! We had fun listening, even though we were sitting at the bar. Dinning experience was only so-so however. Thing I really liked was the French Roquefort dressing (for salad). My Prime Rib was better than average, but my wife's steak was so underdone (for her, medium well tastes) the center was not even medium rare! Her Haddock was tasty however. We both also ordered hash browns as a side, my wife's browns came out first and they were great. I was told that that mine would be out in a minute. What came out was definitely freezer burnt, gray and oily. My browns did not even look like my wife's, and tasted terrible. Because we had plenty to eat, I just shared my wife's and left mine. I did show the waitress. . She told me I should have told her earlier, she would have had them remake them. That would have been great if she would have been at the table more than the one time she said "how are the first few bites". Never got a refill on my water, even though I asked. (It's funny... she did ask if she could refill my alcoholic beverage multiple times when that was empty!) Went here on a whim for a birthday dinner and boy were we happy we did! Excellent ambience, service, and food! We order the chicken and the cheeseburger soups which were hot and delicious! Next we had our salad and this is one of the few places still in the valley to serve hot bacon dressing too! After being told so much about it i was glad to finally try it! Stopped in because we were recommended to try it out for a good steak. We wanted an early dinner so we came right when they started seating dinner and we had a table instantly. This is an old building with a cool bar and you can tell this place is a blast from the past. It truly looks like it hasn't been updated in 40 years, but that's the vibe they are going for with this traditional "supper club". Our service was very quick and organized. She asked for our drink order but we never received a drink menu so she went and got one. That's when we noticed they had appetizers on the drink menu, which we also would have never seen. So we ordered some beers and cheese curds. The curds were delicious and she brought us their house made garlic sauce. For my meal, I got the porterhouse which included bread, a salad, soup, and a potato of my choice. The amount of food was incredible. The tomato bisque soup was hot and tasty. I wish my baked potato had more than just sour cream but that's all she offered. Overall, an interesting old building with pretty good food. I heard this place gave the cheddar cheese and was a nice little steak house. We called and made a reservation. We were seated on time and it was a nice little place. The service was good but a little slower. Our dinner was 2.5 hours long. The soup was very good and flavorful. The salad was poor with a lot of pieces that were bad. The onion rings on the steak were thin and good. The steak was okay. Not the best but not terrible. I would eat it again but I wouldn't rush back for it. The 5pm dinner time yesterday proved to be a slow night with not that many tables to serve, but the service was slow, and unfriendly. My wife and I (celebrating our 45th) started with a brandy Old Fashioned and we both asked for the traditional orange slice and cherries. There was no orange, but we did not complain. My wife had the tenderloin, and had no issues, but I ordered the Seafood Supreme. There was a good portion of shrimp, but only 4 tiny Bay scallops. The pasta was some sort of spiral shape, but the menu stated penne. The amount of sauce was far too much. It should have been advertised as a stew, and served with a spoon. The sauce had no flavor, no spices, and came with a small half sized bread stick completely soaked in the sauce. Only at the end of the meal did the server ask "how was the meal". I tried to explain we were out celebrating our anniversary, and we have been dining at George's for over 30 years, but this night was the 1st time that I had a bad meal. We tried this great little location while we were visiting EAA in Oshkosh. It reminded me of an old-school steakhouse and I absolutely loved it! The bar seemed old school and the drinks (lemon drop martini) was terrific and served by a friendly staff. The food was delicious! The menu has so many selections, you have a hard time deciding exactly what you want, everything looked so delicious. We had a great time there and at EAA. We made reservations on St. Patrick's Day for our anniversary. We ordered dinner. Surprisingly, it was not very good. My steak was sour and appeared like it was taken from the freezer and thrown on the grille. Went to Georges tonight after not having been there for over a year.The salad bar was gone and we were handed a basket of crackers and 2 small little plastic containers with a tasteless liver pate and the other with a very weak scoop of cheddar cheese. My wife ordered the salmon(after the waitress told us she was not very fond of their salmon)and I ordered the New York strip.This is probably the worst steak I have ever had here in the valley. Absolutely tasteless and at least 50% of it was gristle! A bitter disappointment. The waitress was short with us and acted like she had better things to do. TITLE: GUARD ALL YOUR FOOD! After a very long trying week, my hubby and I decided to go out Friday after work. We debated going to The Bar for wings or Georges Steakhouse. He thought we deserved a better meal that night so he called earlier in the day and made us reservations for 5:30 pm Friday night. After my longgg Friday was over, I made my way over to Georges. I was excited, I hadn't been there in over a year, I was hungry, I remembered the last meal I had there which was out of their world. I was stoked! I arrived before my husband and waited at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartender (woman) was very short with me as I ordered my drink. Whatever. I watched the tv as I waited. My husband walked in sat next to me and the bartender became a different person, bubbly, nice... what the heck? Rude. When our table was ready we made our way over there. We sat for maybe 30 seconds and our waitress KIM was standing there, "CAN I TAKE YOUR ORDER?" uhh no we just sat down. Give us a few minutes please we told her. She came back to take our order, in which she was extremely irritated to be doing so, didn't like answering questions about the menu, THATS EXTRA, THAT'S EXTRA! I replied Ya fine whatever! OK! We both ordered the clam chowder, I ordered the petite filet with blue cheese crust (wasn't crusty at all, just melted blue cheese), fries, and shredded onion strings. Hubby ordered Perch. She left, came back, dropped off the cracker basket, spreadable cheese, and liver pate. We started to snack on those items which were good. She came back and dropped off the clam chowder which tasted more like navy bean soup, with some mystery white stuff on top. Cheese I assume? No clue. She came back to grab the soup bowls and took the cracker basket, "OH ARE STILL EATING THOSE?!" UHH YA, she put the basket down. She was grabbing everywhere so fast to rid things it was unreal. I told my husband here she comes guard your food. She brought our entrees (and breadbasket?-usually it comes with soup) dropped them on the table and grabbed the crackers, spreadable cheese, and liver pate even tho we were still snacking on them without asking if we were done. Whatever. Then towards the end of the meal, she started to be slightly pleasant especially when she brought the bill. Nope. Not buying it. First impressions mean everything and they set the tone and experience for the whole dining experience that night. This person did not provide a pleasurable experience at all. HORRIBLE! RUSH RUSH RUSH. Not going back. It's a shame, we have had great experiences in the past, not taking the chance again. We should have gone to The Bar! Always craving a good steak, I can tell you that the New York Strip, T-Bone and Tenderloin are steaks I've ordered for decades and always meet my high expectations. I don't do steak houses and restaurants with multiple courses because I have a small appetite and I get full very easy but prime rib was on my mind so George's steak house was getting a visit from me. The main course comes with potatoe or vegy, bread sticks, bread and butter, relish bar, soup, and salad. Who eats all that. At 5:40 on a Saturday the lot was full but I did get a table. The place looked old school up scale from decades ago. There is rich wood beams on the ceiling. Rich wood and stone walls. It's multi level with a full bar. Dim lighting and candles on the tables. Chandler and wall sconces add to the decor. The crowd Is defined the older ones but there was a Dodge Viper in the lot and I wonder who owned that, see my pictures. Service was wonderful even though they were very busy and I have no complaints there. The menu is extensive with duck, beef, seafood, chicken, pasta, chops, sandwiches and etc. I went for the 16 oz prime rib and asked for the rarest they had with the soup and potato. I asked not to be given the bread sticks, relish bar, bread and butter and the salad because I didn't want to waste it. The 16 0oz prime looked killer and the menu says the meat is aged. The prime rib comes in a metal tray sitting in a lake of au jus. I had the chicken dumpling soup and au gratin potatoes with horseradish sauce on the side. The prime was very good and very tender, I actually didn't like how the horseradish sauce masked the flavor of the meat so I didn't use it much. I liked the tender juicy chew of the meat with that rich flavor from some of the fat but I did cut most of it off. The chicken dumpling soup was tasty with sturdy dumplings and not that mush from a can with big pulled pieces of chicken. The au gratin potatoes were very thick and good. I really liked how tender the prime rib was with no weird chewy pieces. This meal really hit the spot and and fulfilled my crave for prime rib. Over all the meal was decent and I really liked the prime rib along with great service so I give it two thumbs up. read more

I guess the first mistake was getting delivery from here but George's was literally one of the only places on the big apps that had anything healthy that wasn't a salad. I got the lemon pepper chicken, which was soaked in a weird gelatinous sauce. I ordered the "vegetable du jour" and it literally is a few small pieces of broccoli and slightly more cauliflower that was DIED. One of the most pathetic experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Ordered a New York strip and a lobster tail with clam chowder as my soup. The soup was runny and no clam in it at all. The New York strip as quoted by my friend with my was like chewing on a tire, both of our steaks were over cooked. I would rather let my 10 year old try cooking beef for his first time ever then eat that steak again. We ordered lobster tails as an add on and they were over cooked and one of the most chewy lobster tails I have ever eaten NOT to mention it was $43 per tail!!! I just had steak and lobster Wednesday night at dick and Joan's the larger tail was only $15 and blew George's out of the water. Extremely disappointed in the entire experience. Such a nice evening we had! It's also rare to find a super club with scooter accessibility so that makes dinning with my Father in law all the more special. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. We tried the deep fried pickle spears from the appetizer menu to start and they were so yummy.
