My wife and I went for lunch today, and the meal was uneven, to be kind. We started with the better-than-average cheese curds, which had a nice, subtle breading instead of being deep-fried into oblivion like most. My wife had a build-a-burger, which looked good and she said was juicy and delicious - - if only I could say the same. I ordered what was described as a smoked turkey BLT, but what I.received was quite disappointing. It was simple turkey lunchmeat, and not smoked. The bacon was underdone, and the sandwich was stone cold, as the cheddar was not melted whatsoever. The saving grace was my delicious, but a bit too small Guinness. Atmosphere: Located in a strip mall with a large parking lot. The inside is quite dark and has large booths and a big bar area to sit at. Loads of seating and I think they can easily accommodate a larger group. I'm sure it is quite packed on a Friday night during fish fry but the two times I've visited here it's been pretty dead. They also have a lot of TVs so if you're into sports they'll have something on for you to watch. Service: Friendly waitstaff and the food comes out pretty quickly. Drinks: The two times I've ordered tap beer here it is flat. I'd recommend getting a bottle of beer over tap beer. Food: It's good size portions, so you won't leave hungry. I've been to Ireland and it definitely is a far cry from the food there but they have the spirit. read more

We havent been here in about 2 years and since we were in Oshkosh we wanted to stop in because it WAS one of our favorites. 1. The wait staff sat and picked at her finger nails at the bar and complained the whole time we here there. 2. The Cook sat at the bar and chatted and smelled really..REALLY bad. 3. The bartender was nice and sweet but we were not her priority. Her priority was to chat with the waitstaff and cook. 4. Food. Just NO! We had a few appetizers. My husband said chicken strips are a safe choice. I have no idea were they get these but I wouldnt feed them to anyone. The cook of them were find but the quality was bad. The Irish Spring rolls used to be our go to. They werent good at all, warm at best and dripped of grease. I just think the cook was not in the mood to cook, he just wanted to get back to his chair at the bar. Please get back to your old standards. read more

The food is absolutely wonderful. I have yet to have anything that didn't hold up to everything. I was served from my entire Irish family on the East Coast, and they were good Irish chefs. Atmosphere is lively and fun, although there may be times when you might need some earplugs. You would be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining and delicious place to spend an Irish evening or good Irish lunch.! read more

So I ordered last week a Shepards pie. It was very good. The gravy was bland but the mashed potatoes were amazing!!! So if you mixed it all in together it was so good!!! Now today I ordered the same thing. It smelled rancid. I also had my coworker (who used to work there years ago) asked to smell it, and she agreed it smelled rancid. The establishment kept Insisting that they make it from scratch, and that its fine. Maybe they did, but something was not right with it. The mashed potatoes were "sweet" like they accidentally used the honey butter for the mashed. When I called just to see their input, they said nothing was wrong , everything from scratch, and no other complaints from other people. .... And "we can't do anything for you" I don't want anything done for me, just acknowledging something went wrong. They did acknowledge it didn't smell right. And the 1 lady said only because she hates Parmesan that's the reason it smells off. NO!! Will never spend my money there again. Because of their attitude!!! But THIS PLACE No accountability which worries me. If you smell it and knows it smells like rancid garbage but blame it on Parmesan cheese (Parmesan cheese barely has much of a scent unless you're in a cheese cellar), and taste the mashed potatoes that tasted sweet (like they used the honey butter in it) and still say everything is perfectly fine, then I don't trust you to make my food. And cannot consciously recommend them to anyone else. EVER. This establishment will always be a big huge NO for me. read more

Such a disappointment!! Our meal today was not good The clam chowder was mostly diced potatoes and carrots. and Almost no clams or taste of clams. It also was not hot . The 2 piece perch was not good . It was heavily breaded and over cooked . The rye bread, coleslaw and fries were ok but the fish was like a dry tasteless board. This is not a 1st visit A server several weeks ago said the "old cook" was back so everything would be good. We hadn't been here in about a year and I wanted to bring my sister and her husband (a chef) to experience the food. My fish and chips were not the same as I had before. The flavor was different and it was much smaller than I remembered. My son's nachos were cold and barely had any toppings, also changed from before. They are not the place we used to enjoy. Great fish fry. Best I've had in a while. I actually got the fish and chips. Which is a smaller portion to their Friday haddock. So it did not have the Cole slaw or rye bread. But was so good. Our server Jackie was crazy busy running around. But took the time to make that menu suggestion and to properly order and deliver my husbands perfectly prepared burger. She kept our beers and waters full. She had a great personality and made our night and meal very enjoyable. The only thing that is keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that they have to yell the name of the server from the kitchen door all night when their order is ready. It was actually pretty unprofessional. It has the feel of Ireland, well decorated. I've been to Ireland a few times and never saw this as an "Irish" thing to tell their names. I saw their Packer game day specials and this place looks like a great place to watch Packer games. We will be back and hope to see Jackie again. Started with a local beer on tap and fried cheese curds - both were fantastic. Mya was a fantastic waitress. Ordered the shepherds pie, one of my favorite dishes and recommended by the waitress. Came out with a ton of bread, too much really, it was supposed to be soda bread, it was ok, but not the traditional Irish soda bread you normally see at Irish joints. Unfortunately the shepherds pie had a burnt taste to the meat & veggies. It was a relatively small portion, but had a ton of mashed potatoes on top. It was all very dry. Hardly any gravy on the meat & veggies, and the potatoes were dry too. With all the bread they included, you would have thought there'd be a ton of gravy on the pie. The food was ok, not great - but typical pub food. We were seated at our table and had to wait for service until we asked. However, once the waitress attended to us she was very good and pleasant. My main concern is that they don't practice social distancing and most people did not wear masks when walking around - servers did wear masks. read more

I was in Oshkosh during the Eaa weekend thing watching planes and trains so I looked on Yelp for a good highly rated place because I would only have lunch once and this place looks ok. The place is in the coroner of a strip mall and parking was rock star for me. As you walk in the bar area is in front of you and to the left is the booths and tables. Behind the dining area is a separated pool table area. The place does have a nice pub feel with rich green walls and lots of dark wood. The fire place area has a stone fire place with a flat screen hanging over it and just makes the great room feel homey. There is an extensive beverage menu with beer, wine, bloodys, cocktails etc. I saw a beer that I have never seen so I was going to get it even though it would go well with my lunch and if lunch hits the table before I finish it, it's finished. Bare bones bitch in heat was the animal I would have just because I could. It's a strawberry jalapeño beer with a great Amber color that had a nice head on it. When it hit the table you could smell the strawberry from the start before even touching the glass. You taste the strawberry first and then the delayed heat finish that just lingers and that's when I new it was done when lunch hits the table. The food menu is smaller compared to the beverage menu with the regulars like apps, salads, wraps, sandwiches, raps etc. I was in a pub so I ordered the Ruben with a side of clam chowder. The Ruben was disappointing even though at first glance it looked good. As I ate the first half I was thinking why is this Ruben total consumed with an overwhelming flavor of sauerkraut and little corn beef flavor so I opened up the second half and took a look. I have had my fair share of Rubens but this one had flavor balances that are off. The sandwich has only thin sparse shreds of corn beef, no complete slices at all. I will post a picture as always. This is probably the least meaty Ruben I have ever had and a poor example of a Ruben. When one thinks of a Ruben one thinks of a meaty stick to your bones sandwich which this is not. The clam chowder was disappointing also but not horrible. It was hot and creamy but lacked the chewy texture of clams that I enjoy from clam chowder. The clams were minimal and the pieces were so small so there was no way of achieving that classic chew. My service was wonderful and I can't complain in any way but the food was just not there for an Irish pub and I would look for a different place next time I'm in Oshkosh. If an Irish pub can't even put out an average Ruben than there is a problem with the place and they should be ashamed of the Ruben that I was served. Don't they know that just about everyone has a camera phone and we can post picture proof of the food they serve to back up the reviews good or bad. read more

Was ready for a decent dinner of beer and pub grub. Wounded up getting treated to a very fun evening with friends trying excellent beers and Ole Smoky Root Beer Whiskey. Jolene was amazing! She made excellent recommendations, taught us what an Irish Pancake is, and together we created a new drink: Whiskey Sass. I'm in town to visit coworkers, and they know I love all things Irish. Went on a 10 May a Monday evening and had one of the best Ruebens. The fries were awesome. Quality oil used for frying. I also recommend the Irish eggrolls. Went back before leaving for Colorado a second time on 13 May a Thursday and had the Cuban sandwich. While it didnt have the taste of the Cuban Ive had, it was, nonetheless a very tasty samich. The servers on duty on both days were outstanding. If I get back to Oshkosh, count on my return. They inspired me to open a yelp account and write my first review. Well done Dublins! read more

Service left a bit to desire between lack of communication, lack of general attentiveness, lack of proper welcome and slow to respond even after prompting. I rate heavy on service quality considering how expensive it is to go out these days and how much less a dollar goes. Plus, I have enough troubles valueing myself and I'm an above average tipper so dammit, you better recognize! Reuben sandwich, huge incl healthy meat portion! And no caraway seeds in the bread! And a server who knows what caraway seeds are (and why they're disgusting, lol)! Irish wraps (aka reuben rolls) crisped to perfection and delicious! More sauces, dressings and dips please. They came in only the wee-est cups. Tater tots and Sprecher root beer on tap! options were fun surprises. I have to start this review with the biggest issue I found at this place -- their menu has a consistent misspelling of "Reuben" on it. For an Irish-esque place, this seems like a basic thing. And I say Irish-esque with kindness. It's not Irish, but the decor sings of trying to be, as do parts of the menu. The decor is rustic with dark wood booths; the walls adorned by whiskey and beer signs. Overall, the food is good. I've been here three times now, and each time happy ordered the Reuben with fries. Never disappointed. When we're in town annually for business, this is the lunch I most look forward to over our four days. read more

This is our go-to place when in Oshkosh! Lots of tap beer options and great food. First - THE BEER! They have a large tap beer selection - about 25-30. They keep the selections updated on a chalkboard, but always have a wide selection of brewers and types. The food is also very good. They have a selection of Irish meals - bangers and mash, etc. My husband is a big fan of their burgers - especially the Dubliner Burger. It's a burger with corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and 1000 Island dressing. He'd say that you must order it with the chippers as they have the best homemade chips. Great restaurant my wife and I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The place can be hard to find. It is in the corner of a strip mall. Don't let the strip mall part put you off. This place is a great Irish pub and their Irish whiskey and tap beer selection is the best in the whole Valley. Check out the pics of the beer list I posted. Food is well thought out and great pub fare. Shepard's pie is good and the burgers well done too. The Guinness Marinated Steak ($8.95) is excellent. They have non Irish food too. Several wrap selections and salads as well. A real winner is their take on the Cuban Sandwich. This is not your typical or traditional Cuban, but the addition of just the right amount of a rich BBQ sauce to the pulled pork and Honey Mustard sauce with the hard wood smoked ham and pickles on a grilled ciabatta bun make this sandwich sing! read more
