Several of the bands also showed up so the place was packed and lively. There was also live music both nights. They hosted a Full Irish Breakfast Saturday morning which was scrambled eggs, bacon, bangers, black pudding, stewed tomatoes, pork and beans, and scones. It was also good I forgot to take a picture of the food but I got one of the great Irish Whiskey! If you have ever had bacon in Ireland you know it's the best! I took the leftover scone and banger with me and had it the next morning. It was still delicious!

The place is right on the water and within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. It's also smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. It's a little 'old' but the vibes and character are cool. The stained glass windows in the restaurant are awesome. Restaurant was just OK. Both of our meals (my husband and I) were fine. The rooms are not real big; but plenty of room for one to two people. There is a whirlpool tub, a large, walk-in shower, a couple of nightstands, and a desk. There is only one chair in the room, and no refrigerator. Ice is available from the bartender. Breakfast is included with your stay, and there is an omelette station and assorted breads and cereal. I ate in the restaurant one evening, sitting at the bar. The bartender was very busy, but service was good and the food was excellent. I had a burger with fries and everything was very tasty, fresh, and hot. The bar and restaurant seemed to attract a local crowd as well as the patrons of the hotel. I definitely recommend both a hotel and the restaurant. The hotel was very reasonably priced and worked great for what I needed.

For breakfast I've tried the breakfast wrap, which is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar cheese, and potatoes in a wrap then covered with your choice of beer cheese, sausage gravy, or salsa (I chose sausage gravy). For lunch/dinner I've had their cheese curds and triple decker club wrap with waffle fries. The meals were two different tales. I didn't care for the breakfast burrito very much. I thought cheese was lacking in the burrito and it was messy not being able to pick it up and eat it like a wrap due to the gravy on top. Given the chance to do it over, I would get the gravy on the side and dunk it into it before taking a bite. Conversely, Iiked the the triple decker club wrap and thought it had a nice balance between the three meats (ham, bacon, turkey), good crunch from the lettuce, and maybe a bit too much mayo, but enough to keep the wrap from being dry. The waffle fries were good too. The cheese curds had a nice hand dipped batter going on.

Finally seated, I ordered the cod with potatoes pancakes. This food was infused with so much old grease that it pooled on my plate. By far the worse fish fry. I cannot speak for their other food but if they would allow this food to leave their kitchen then I'm sure the other food is bad as well. Quite sad that people allow these horrible restaurants to continue by patronizing them. Demand better by not going to these restaurants.

Both my older son and I thought this sounded amazing so we stopped in on a Friday night to try it. We both got fries for our side. The burger was great as expected. Breading and deep frying the lasagna helped prevent it from being a mess and they added enough marinara to give it flavor without overpowering anything. The fries were lightly salted, but were otherwise just boring, plain potato. Apparently 6pm on a Friday is a horrible time to visit Brazen Head Pub if you want to be seated in a reasonable timeframe. My son and I stood there for at least 20 minutes watching a table that was done eating and the gentleman and his credit card in hand, ready to pay if someone would ever stop and give him his bill. While this was going on, another couple at the bar finished their food and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for their check. It's almost as if the employees had no desire to turnover tables even with a line at the door including and behind us. There were three people bartending/waiting tables so they had plenty of coverage given the smaller size of the place. At one point, closer to the end of our meal, one of the bartenders looked at my son and I and asked "are you guys good?" as he was literally walking away from us and I was holding up an empty soda glass to show him I'd like a refill. Oddly, he gave me a thumbs up and kept going. I don't even know what to make of that other than poor service. The music that was playing was excessively loud. If it was a live band, I'd get it, that's part of the show and I wouldn't complain. For random music on speakers to drown out all conversations unless you're yelling, that's dumb.
