Several of the bands also showed up so the place was packed and lively. There was also live music both nights. They hosted a Full Irish Breakfast Saturday morning which was scrambled eggs, bacon, bangers, black pudding, stewed tomatoes, pork and beans, and scones. It was also good I forgot to take a picture of the food but I got one of the great Irish Whiskey! If you have ever had bacon in Ireland you know it's the best! I took the leftover scone and banger with me and had it the next morning. It was still delicious!

My husband was happy, as he got his Guiness & a Brat!!! He loved them!!! The staff was very friendly & hopefully, we will be back!!! Food is fabulous. We've tried the shepherd pie, soup and salad, Irish stew, bangers and mash - all well prepared and served and simply delicious. Corey has a very cool little place here --brick wall , wood bar, cozy booth and tables. No sign yet but don't be fooled . If the open sign is lit, come in and enjoy.

The place is right on the water and within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. It's also smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. It's a little 'old' but the vibes and character are cool. The stained glass windows in the restaurant are awesome. Restaurant was just OK. Both of our meals (my husband and I) were fine. The rooms are not real big; but plenty of room for one to two people. There is a whirlpool tub, a large, walk-in shower, a couple of nightstands, and a desk. There is only one chair in the room, and no refrigerator. Ice is available from the bartender. Breakfast is included with your stay, and there is an omelette station and assorted breads and cereal. I ate in the restaurant one evening, sitting at the bar. The bartender was very busy, but service was good and the food was excellent. I had a burger with fries and everything was very tasty, fresh, and hot. The bar and restaurant seemed to attract a local crowd as well as the patrons of the hotel. I definitely recommend both a hotel and the restaurant. The hotel was very reasonably priced and worked great for what I needed.

That, and the owner (Clancy) looks like he crawled out of Braveheart. The food is standard to better-than-average for the most part, but by and large it is done well by Clancy's wife in the kitchen. She runs the show for the most part, and though she is alone, she manages to keep up with the appetites of those who come in...for the most part. The most celebrated food there is probably the Friday Fish Fry (a Wisconsin tradition if you didn't figure that out yet). I've eaten it a number of times, and the consistency of that particular dish is outstanding! Whether you're in Stevens Point, a local, or just moving through the area...Clancy's is worth a stop. It's also the FIRST place you should stop in its neighborhood. There are other bars, but Clancy's is going to give you a bit more of what most people are looking for. Then again, the other bars aren't terrible or overly lacking. They're just more, hmmmm, specific to their particular clientele's needs.

If possible skip eating in the main dining room - it mostly lacks the atmosphere of the front bar and games room - and instead soak up all this place has to offer while sitting at or alongside the bar. The place gets full and busy on Friday nights but is never rowdy and the TVs are well placed and not obtrusive.
