The best perch plate I've had. Home made coleslaw and tartar sauce that was fabulous.

GREAT food that went along with reasonable price. Staff was really nice and quick to serve.

Nothing was open on Sunday so we decided to venture over here to try wings. I mean they have 25 different sauces! Well, firstly, there was only 1 bartender/server and what I assumed was 1 cook. Ordered drink asked for olives, got the drink but no olives. Twice. I ordered boneless wings and I saw the chef bring the plate out to sit on bar, the bartender/server walked past my dish 4 or 5 times before she brought it to me. She even went to refill the other tables drinks and kept walking past my plate. I wanted to walk over and grab it myself. Then the chef brought out my husbands plate, then she decided to pick his up and bring mine. His was hot, mine was cold. Took forever to get another drink. We were walked past a few times, I even put empty glasses on edge of table. Nope, didn't pick up on that I guess. Not going back.

Their delicious corned beef is served in almost any form you can imagine. My personal favorite was the Irish nachos. Be warned, however, this mere appetizer is plenty enough food for two to share. As for the wings, they have an insane amount of flavors, so if variety is what you're looking for, stop here. Not sure they would make my top 5 in the wing department, though. Great selection of beer and spirits.

I think this is my new local go-to. We hadn't been here in a couple of years and were lured in by the local ads for Friday fish. I knew ther tap and bottle/can beer selection was good but I had forgotten how good - pale ale and IPA fan here. Love all the local brews on tap. Fish and chips or perch on Friday served with the standard onion, coleslaw and delicious brown bread- mmm. The fish has a light better and not greasy. Mozzarella sticks are fat and egg roll shell wrapped. Had the blackened salmon salad that was served on a bed of mixed greens (mostly spinach!) - I'm not one for sweet dressing so the waitress suggested fresh lemon and oh yeah it was perfect. I have to say I was happily surprised with this salad. The $3 steak burgers on Wednesday and Saturday were a hit with my husband and son. Load those burgers how you like and choice of fries for a small up charge. Can't wait to try the mussels! The kitchen has tea gotten slow... like turtle molasses in the North Pole. Actually I hate to say that I'm not really happy with tonight's dinner. My once favorite blackened salmon salad was not blackened and definitely over cooked. My husband still really likes the burgers.

Several of the tap beers they have. And some of the Bourbon

Very friendly staff and the food was good. Be prepared to wait a bit for food as it can get pretty busy on a Friday especially.

Brunch/Lunch Review! It's been years since I've been to…read morePlank Road but always enjoy their food offerings, outdoor patio, and overall atmosphere. When they started offering weekend brunch, it felt natural to revisit and try their new menu out. To start, I got the Espresso Martini which was definitely more Bailey's cream than anything. I didn't get a caffeine kick like I was hoping for. A lot of their brunch food items have a spicy element that deterred us from wanting to order. We ended up waiting the 15 to 11am so that we could order off the lunch menu. We started with the Combo Basket and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. I love that the dip comes with both fresh pita chips and toasted garlic bread. This is a must have appetizer! The Combo Basket was an array of fried food: chicken tenders, french fry medley, pickles, curds, onion rings paired with three sauces (bbq, ranch, honey mustard). If you go with a bigger group, this is an easy app to share. For entrees, I got the Garlic Parm Boneless wings. They were perfectly sauced and came with quite a few for the price. My husband got the Smoked Duck Salad which was tasty having fresh lettuce paired with the smokey, cold cut duck. My friends got the House Salad and Bourbon Bleu Burger. Sadly, the burger barely had any cheese on it which is my friend's favorite part. While the food overall was amazing, we sadly had a lacking experience in the service department. Courtney was our server and often missed revisiting our table for water refills, ordering food, or getting another round of drinks. She did mess up one drink order and rather than giving us the drink, she took it back which is fair. She lacked a pleasant demeanor and we left feeling off about the encounter. The kitchen also took longer than normal to push food out. While this may have been a bad day, it was notable by our whole group. I hope this element continues to improve as Plank Road overall is a great neighborhood spot right off the expressway! Tip: Weekend Brunch menu seems to be offered all morning but lunch food menu starts at 11am. Pro Tip: The bar has pull tabs for cash purchase.

Two at our table got the perch fish fry, I got the grilled cheese on sourdough with tomato soup and the fourth got the salmon salad. The perch was very good. The rest of the plate was just ok. The fries weren't super hot and since they were under the fish they didn't have much crisp to them. My grilled cheese was the disappointing one. I don't believe it was actually sourdough - seemed more like white bread, however that could be because it wasn't crispy at all. It seemed as if it maybe hit the grill for 10 seconds. The soup was hot and was ok. The salmon salad was good. I think we all agreed that we would give it another chance because everything was ok and the people were so friendly.

The challenges is that it is rare to find vegetarian food on most Wisconsin menus, unless it is full of cheese and deep-fried. My review of this place would've been better, if I would've had some more options to eat. Even their tomato soup is made with a chicken stock, which rules it out. You can make a good tasting tomato soup with a vegetable stock. The restaurant itself is very cute. Decent selection of beers. The appetizers we ordered were fine. I ordered the fish tacos and was a bit disappointed. It didn't help that I had eaten fish tacos at a fantastic Mexican restaurant the day before and these were kind of mediocre. They were served in tough flour tortillas and they just didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, it was an OK experience. The rest of my group really did like their food. I would say that probably a nice bar for most people, but for vegetarians not so much.
