Nothing was open on Sunday so we decided to venture over here to try wings. I mean they have 25 different sauces! Well, firstly, there was only 1 bartender/server and what I assumed was 1 cook. Ordered drink asked for olives, got the drink but no olives. Twice. I ordered boneless wings and I saw the chef bring the plate out to sit on bar, the bartender/server walked past my dish 4 or 5 times before she brought it to me. She even went to refill the other tables drinks and kept walking past my plate. I wanted to walk over and grab it myself. Then the chef brought out my husbands plate, then she decided to pick his up and bring mine. His was hot, mine was cold. Took forever to get another drink. McGeorge's is a great local pub - a place you can spend a Friday night, and then back to watch the games Sunday afternoon. I recommend the wings in any of the many, many flavors - wonderful, crisp and a very good size. The burgers are fine and good, but the house made corned beef is spectacular and would be worth the trip just by itself. The menu is well done, with mostly typical pub style food and daily specials. An impressive whiskey list, a nice selection of tap beers, with some really good food make McGeorge's a regular stop. read more

A friend recommended the mussels here and told us about their half priced appetizers on Monday nights. On our way to the restaurant I verified on their website that they still had half price apps as their Monday night special. When we got our bill we had been charged the full price so I questioned it and our bartender (who was great and deserves 5 stars herself) went to Wade, the owner, who told her to apologize to us because the website isn't up to date and he insisted on charging us full price. We watched this conversation happen not 10 feet from us and Wade never offered to come over and speak with us, didn't apologize directly, and refused to honor the policy currently displayed on his restaurant's website. The only reason we went here was for this deal and it turned into a very expensive evening out. We split one appetizer and one entree and had no drinks and our bill was nearly $50-for bar food! We also tried the beer battered shrimp which was bland and super overpriced with a small portion size, and the small restaurant was packed and so loud we could not even carry on a conversation. Really disappointed in how this was handled and will not be returning. Lots of people recommended the food here but we were very underwhelmed and truly shocked by the prices. It's a bar! read more

We've been to McGeorge's many times over the years and they used to have incredible burgers. They had so much flavor and were just awesome. Last night we went and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak and said it was some slices of meat slapped between two pieces of bread with a little cheese and it had no flavor. He did like his onion rings tho. I ordered a cheeseburger and it also had no flavor and I hated the bun. It tasted like all bun. The fries were great tho. Please go back to the way you used to make your burgers I don't care if they're a couple dollars more..we're all used to that now. I just want them to be the old McGeorge's burgers. The place was crowded with people eating so they do have a good reputation for food, but we were just a little disappointed this time and the last time. read more

On the outside looking in it appears to be just a pub. It has warm friendly feeling. They have a wide ranging menu. They also have specials every day.. I think this is my new local go-to. We hadn't been here in a couple of years and were lured in by the local ads for Friday fish. I knew ther tap and bottle/can beer selection was good but I had forgotten how good - pale ale and IPA fan here. Love all the local brews on tap. Fish and chips or perch on Friday served with the standard onion, coleslaw and delicious brown bread- mmm. The fish has a light better and not greasy. Mozzarella sticks are fat and egg roll shell wrapped. Had the blackened salmon salad that was served on a bed of mixed greens (mostly spinach!) - I'm not one for sweet dressing so the waitress suggested fresh lemon and oh yeah it was perfect. I have to say I was happily surprised with this salad. The $3 steak burgers on Wednesday and Saturday were a hit with my husband and son. Load those burgers how you like and choice of fries for a small up charge. Can't wait to try the mussels! The kitchen has tea gotten slow... like turtle molasses in the North Pole. Actually I hate to say that I'm not really happy with tonight's dinner. My once favorite blackened salmon salad was not blackened and definitely over cooked. This is a small bar right by the De Pere Cinema. I like going here with friends to play darts and they also have a pool table. The food is pretty typical, burgers, sandwiches, and cheese curds. They do have some great wings and has an all you can eat wings deal for $9.99 on Thursdays. The beer selection is pretty good..a better bottle selection compared to tap. Last time I was here I noticed they a lot of beer from Hinterland Brewery compared to the other Green Bay breweries. One downside is when the music is on, it gets pretty loud which seems unnecessary as there's usually not a lot of people in there. read more

First off I want to say I want to give this business 5 stars but I can't for one reason but I'll get to that. As always let me start with what I think are the positives. The bar is just the right size with a bar that runs nearly the whole front room with a few tables and booths, there is a back room with more seating a pool table and darts. The tap selection is smallish 5 or 6 but they make up for it with the bottles and cans of micro brews and imports, the liquor selection has everything you could need and a extensive collections of whisky from rails to high end. The menu is typical bar fare except on Thursdays when they have an all you can eat wing special for $8 which may be the busiest night they have since the wings are made in house with homeme sauces, which I don't think you can find anywhere else in the area. For those of you who enjoy such things they do have a dart league at the bar that is quite large and seems to be very social. They owner Wade is one of the most personable people in the service industry you will find who will tell you he is looking to run a neighborhood Irish pub with a client base that will come to for years and set his establishment apart from others in the area. I have been too this bar before it changed ownership which was a few years ago and much more frequently since then. The staff is all very friendly and great at their jobs and love working there, except for one which I will get into in depth. Now for the bad, sometime in the winter of 2013-2014 a new bartender came to work at the bar. The bartender in question is named Chelsea, first off if you work in the service industry you should not have multiple facial piercings that sort of thing should be reserved for people that work in back rooms and call centers and never see the light of day, but when your job is interacting directly with the public that you depend on for your livelihood you would think you would present a more professional appearance to your customers. Let alone follow the cardinal rule be polite to customers. As a bartender it is not your business to care whether or not you a customer is enjoying their self, that's their business not yours so let them be, since for hundreds of years people have been going to drinking establishments to drink, be miserable and wallow in self pity, the Irish have integrated it into their culture, it's one of Russia's greatest exports besides depression and existential writers. Most importantly I would think as a person who works in the service industry you might not want to tell someone that they might not want to patronize the establishment you work at because you personally do not like them and you "basically run the bar" because you're there 6 days a week, does not mean you can dictate who can come into the bar you work at. Which to me is just bad business, rude and essentially the complete opposite of what you are supposed to do when you work in the service industry, of you don't like someone just grin and bear it since your attitude is what will keep customers in the establishment that provides you with a living wage. Basically what I'm saying I will not be patronizing this business until changes are made, hold no ill will toward the owners and wish them the best of luck but I will not be a customer where I am berated by the staff. read more

Newer to the area decided to meet a coworker for a few drinks. Walked in and really liked the place and the people behind the bar. Definitely seen myself hanging here regularly and bringing my customers with. That's not going to happen. We were having a good time enjoying happy hour. 5 o'clock came and happy hour ended. Understandable. But happy hour only ended for some I guess. They continued to give the people next to me two for one while we paid for each drink. They told me they were "grandfathered" in. What a joke. Planned to get food to go for me and my wife, but I moved on to the next place that will appreciate my business. There are plenty of options. I will not be back. I understand taking care of your regulars but not while alienating first timers who could have (and in my case probably would have) become a regular. read more

The bar was dark and cozy. They had hand sanitizer and followed social distancing rules. Unfortunately, the Service was below average. When we got inside they said hello to us and we seated ourselves. The waitress asked to see our ID and of course we gave them to her. As 22-24 year olds it's a common request and no offense taken by that. She looked at each of our ids asked us how old we were and then started bending each of our ids. After that she was very short and blunt took our order and said she would be back to get our food order. Once we ordered and got our drinks more friends joined us. It took her 30 minutes to come back to our table to check on us. Once she came back she made us feel like we had to order food to stay even though we just came for drinks thinking it was a bar. After the second encounter with her it took 30 more minutes for her to come back and check on us. She was rude and we all agreed we would be taking our business elsewhere. read more
