Great burgers and atmosphere. Bartenders are always nice and friendly. I like the Chili (w/o noodles) and wife loves the wings.

Good Friday noon sandwich, but I was there for 1 1/2 hours for lunch. Not acceptable and they don't take credit cards. Not going back.

Let me start by saying, I would have given about a 4 star overall review. But after last nights…read moreexperience it definitely goes to 2 stars, max. I was there last night for business purposes actually. I have my own business as a Dj. So I'm hired by the party that is having their event at Romys. It's a union Christmas Party for the union members. Among all the union members is a diversified ethnic mix of peoples so of course I was asked to mix some Spanish music in as well, which I was doing. I was at about half way through the time schedule I was hired to do when up to me walks the owner of the place (Dawn). In a stern voice she starts telling me that I'm supposed to be playing Mexican music. I replied that I am, as a matter of fact, the song prior to the one playing was of Mexican genre. She kept on about how I need to play more if it, and how I need to keep these people happy. I don't think she liked how my expression and/or reaction showed no enthusiasm towards her concerns, so she resorted to the "do you know who I am" question. I cut her off before she could finish and told her, I know exactly who she is. Then she threatens me by saying, I need to make these people happy if I plan to be playing there ever again or getting rebooked by this party. And then she walks off. so I finish the night of music, not changing a darn thing. I got a little hot under the collar thinking about what just occurred and even as I'm writing this, it still gets me a bit heated. I was contracted by the union, not the event hall. She was out of line coming up to me like that. Her concerns as the owner has nothing to do with the music if the music was contracted by the people having the party. She should have focused more on her responsibility of food, as it was very mediocre (instant potatoes are very subpar). But the bartenders and the wait staff were great ! Kudos to you all !! Sorry to say, this is one Dj that will not play there until she sells the place. This isn't my first run in with her. And so far every time she's had something to say...she's been wrong. Oh, and by the way I had about six people come up to me at the end of the night telling me I did a great job and they loved the mix of music that I played. Also the lady from the union came to me and said they are going to be calling to book me for next year. So Dawn, I guess you were wrong again. Maybe consider selling the place to someone a little more qualified to run it. js

Bartenders, bussers and attendants are attentive and professional. Process to pay for buffet is quick. The owners are friendly and the place is very clean. The rarity time off we snuck over here and could not have been more impressed! Very much a unique place in Appleton but takes you to a big city like NYC or Portland. The vibes, decor, overall environment was welcoming. Food was delicious! We got BYO omelette and Cheese risotto cake with braised beef short ribs. Both were cooked to perfection and flavors aplenty. Not overly salted which many places can be. The perfect portion size that we didn't even need to take anything to go. Honestly impressed. Even more cool is they try to source ingredients locally when they can so it's helping our community. Very excited to have found this place and will be back for more! We did try some of their specialty drinks and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu whenever we get the chance. We came back for a second visit fairly quickly because we kept thinking about the food! We got some breakfast bowls and added protein to it. Again, this place did not disappoint in the slightest! Happy eating!

They're located in an old building along the main street in downtown. For lunch, they seemed to have a short list of items...and not really catering to a red meat eater like me. I picked the chicken pesto sandwich since I normally eat chicken sandwiches for lunch and opted for the house potatoes. Our waitress was very loopy and loud add seemed overly happy about her job. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.

I Came Back to Appleton... Wisconsin Immediately Fed Me…read more There are many ways to kick off an HS Reunion weekend. Apparently, the correct Wisconsin way is cheese curds, a soft pretzel, beer cheese, mustard, and craft beer. One of my host~family sisters and longtime friends brought me to Stone Arch Brewpub shortly after I touched down in Appleton, and this was exactly the kind of welcome~back I needed. Let's talk about those cheese curds. Pillowy. Soft. Tender. Ridiculously good. I don't say this lightly, but these may be some of the best cheese curds I've ever eaten. Then came the pretzel~super buttery and incredibly soft~with Wisconsin beer cheese and mustard for dipping. At that point, the reunion could have ended and I would've considered the trip successful. But we weren't done. We worked our way through an assortment of craft beers spanning Hazy IPAs, West Coast IPAs, Sours and Gose~style beers. The atmosphere was cool, the service was great, and the combination of food, beer and catching up with an old friend made this feel like the perfect beginning to my return to Appleton. Sometimes the best travel experiences aren't about finding the newest or trendiest place. Sometimes it's about sitting down with someone who knows you, sharing some great food and beer, and realizing some things really do feel like coming home. Stone Arch was a damn good way to start the reunion. Would absolutely return.

As newbies, we did not have a reservation. We quickly learned our lesson when we waited for two full hours to be seated at approximately 9pm. But we made the best of us, the bartenders were a bunch of sweeties and I got a grasshopper bev which was essentially a mint chip milkshake with booze - yuh. Once seated we made a b-line for the soup and salad bar which was good. My friend loved their special "pizza soup" which legit did taste like a pepp pizza in a soup. The salad bar had some fun "salad" options on top of the greens like a crab salad and some sort of pea and cheese one. Overall - decent. I got the Chicken Oscar which I've seen having prosciutto or ham on top and this bad boy came with imitation crab (+ greens beans + hollandaise). It was pretty good, the crab didn't exactly fit and felt a bit rubbery but chicken and greens were solid. The rest of the table got the prime rib of course which they seemed fairly please with. Overall, it was fun and did its job and I liked the unique feel of it (in the opinion of a northeast girl).
