Ned Kelly's is a phenomenal venue, with 100 beers on tap. The bar staff was so accommodating, sampling beer after ale, after lager... (and quite knowledgeable on the selections). The bar area is vibrant, spreading out into two main areas for lounging. Really great ambiance. The tap selection is awesome, though it can be a bit overwhelming. Two large monitors display 20 of the tap selections at a time, rotating thru the entire interval (which means you have to keep up or wait for the listing to come around again). They have iPads at the bar to view the tap selections based on your search criteria. However, they are somewhat slow and limited in number. Fortunately, the bar staff makes great recommendations. Swung by here for a drink while in downtown Green Bay for our first time. While walking down the street we spotted the place. It looked like it was a popular spot and was playing good music, so we decided to stop in around 10:30 pm on a Saturday. I ended up requesting two songs and cannot thank whoever made that happen enough. We all got to dance our hearts out to Whitey Houston and let loose for a few minutes. I can't tell you the last time I danced in a public place (ha!) I honestly did not think they would play the songs so thank you, thank you, thank you! Beers scroll ten at a time on tv's above the bar or there's a tablet with a neat search feature as choosing from 100 beers can be overwhelming. Very good selection of most styles, some very unique, most craft, and many imports. Flights of 4 are available. It wasn't too busy when we stopped (early Saturday evening) and the service was ok (only 1 girl tending bar). Peanuts in the shell was a nice touch. This isn't the bars fault but it diminished from our stop - other patrons (prepare for old guy rant). Millennials on their phones watching videos with the volume turned full-on loud. He always makes me feel at home and the vibe with his regulars and newcomers is so friendly and inviting as soon as I walk into the bar. I was tolded that the place was closing early at 1:45 on st pattys day. I had 1/2 a beer left and told the person they said they were closed that it was 1:45 and they were still open for 15 mins and I would like to finish my beer that I purchased. I was told by the same guy that I had to leave immediately and tied to finish my beer and was physically not allowed to. I was also physically assulted and removed from the bar by the same person and asked the bouncer his name and he wouldnt tell me it. I will never spend another cent in such an entitled establishment that will physically assualts its customers. Avoid at all costs. Beer also tastes and smells off of what it should. I had a new glarius moon man that smelled like spoiled milk and tasted funny. read more

Great beer selection. 100 beers on tap and then a number of deals during the day. Happy hour Monday through Friday at 3 PM to 6:52 PM. Great deals. $5 on all tap beers on Sundays from 11 AM to 12 AM. Bartenders aren't always that attentive but sooner or later you get your beer. It's a must visit for the person looking for craft beer. Only downside is they have no food. read more

Love this place! Their new renovations introduced 100 tap lines in the last month or two. They've actually set it up pretty well for the bartender/customer interactions: they've numbered all the tap lines on their beer list. Makes it way easier than telling the bartender the name of the brew and making them search around in 100 taps to find it. Bartenders are always super helpful at finding the right beer for you. Some cool things unique to this place: Thursdays from 9pm till close, everything (sans shots) is half price. Tap beers, bottled beers, wine, mixed drinks, pizza, chips, everything. If it's your birthday, you get a free beer flight or mixed drinks all night. If you can't decide what beer you want, they have a dice box! Shake the box, and whatever number you land on 1-100, they give you that beer for $4! Not sure if they only do that at certain times of the day, but regardless, it's a pretty sweet deal if you're not too picky about what style of beer you're drinking. Not a huge fan of this place on weekend nights though. It has a completely different vibe then. Also, I wish they had more ciders on tap. I feel like they have less than they did before the whole tap line remodel. read more

Came here with some friends on a Sunday night around midnight. Obviously not a big party night, so the place was totally empty, but we still had a blast. The bartender was super friendly, they had tons of delicious beers (at least by my standards, which in all fairness may be lower than yours). We played darts and pool and there was no line. And people wonder why I love empty bars! The bartender was even nice when I creepily tried to add him on facebook--what, he had it up on his computer in full sight of us customers! Plus I had had a bunch of beers so it seemed like a good idea. Finally the night ended when he wanted to close up since it was just our drunk N'Awlins asses for the last 2 hours in the bar. Last night I did my annual holiday reunion with my high school buddies, since its the only time we're all in town. We always start at Titletown and then the night goes from there. I requested that we go somewhere I could play pool (and subsequently get my butt handed to me by people who actually know what they're doing). Enough about my shortcomings, and more about how I loved this place! I think we showed up somewhere around 9, and this place was pretty empty. Granted it was a Tuesday and I currently have bar expectations of Milwaukee where everyone drinks all the time, but I took this to be a bad sign. I was definitely wrong. Holy balls, does this place have a beer selection. They have tablets that display what they have, and it breaks it down into numerous categories which was helpful. Even more helpful was the bartender. I asked for his name, which was Drew, because he recommended some fantastic beers to my friends and I and I wanted to make sure to tell everyone this guy was great. Seriously, maybe one of my favorite bartenders I have ever had. He was knowledgeable of a wide range of what the bar had to offer. As the bar filled up, our service didn't really slow down. Keep doing your thing, Drew. There was a lot of open space, which could have been filled with other things (like more pool tables). There was only one pool table, but we never had to wait to play a game. There were a couple of electronic dart boards that I embarrassed myself with. Decor was not memorable; didn't matter, I still loved the place. In review: Anything the bar lacked was made up for by great beer selection accompanied by a bartender who knew what he was doing. Ned Kelly's has recently gotten a facelift inside, and it looks fantastic! They're in the process of adding about 100 tap lines to add to their extensive beer list. We went in to meet up with old friends and had some beers and tried out the Tullamore Dew Mule - it was quite good and not too expensive. We happened to be there during their happy hour from 4pm-6pm, when beer is half-price. We made our way to the open back area, which features games including pool and darts. Walked into a pretty cool looking bar with age appropriate people for us to meet and hangout with. That's until we sat down at an open place at the bar (there were a few) and waited 10 mins with open arms to be served. I say open arms because some people are on their phones and not looking when bartenders nod or whatever to them acknowledging that they see you. We waited 10 mins (5 too long for me) not even to be acknowledged. The bar wasn't slamming or anything and they had 2 bartenders. We walked out. Hands down one of my favorite bars in Green Bay. There are so many beers, it's always hard to decide which one to get. They have iPads that has their menu so it's easy to search different styles of beer, what's on tap and of course Wisconsin beers. I like going on Monday nights after 9pm to try their rare beers from the cellar list as they're half off. Thursday night is also a good night as it's cusomter appreciation night and everything is half off. The bartenders are usually pretty helpful. When they start though it can be a little rough because it can take a bit to find the beer you want, but I would have the same problem if I worked there. Once they get a hang of things, it's usually fine. The only thing I don't like is coming here on the weekends, it's almost a completely different bar Different type of clientle and blaring loud dance music. read more

I liked to go here with my friends after a long day at work. There is an amazing beer menu, wines and a good overall variety. There are also 3 bars open when it is busy but I'm not a fan when it's busy. I like it during the week when it isn't as busy. The bartenders are friendly here and down to earth. Looks like I'm writing really positive reviews lately... anyway, my favorite thing about this place is actually only one thing: beer. This is the only bar in Green Bay I've found that serves Verhaeghe Duchesse de Bourgognee Beer, which is one of my favorite beers ever. If you like beers with a more acidic quality to them like the New Glarus Enigma (which you can also get here), then this is a beer you should try. Normally I wouldn't give a place like this a high review since it's pretty dime-a-dozen but it's surprising beer selection sets it apart. Not to mention the fact that they'll give you a beer list on a tablet so you can see the bottles and types ahead of time. read more

A few of my friends and I tried this place about a week ago. There were 4 people tending bar. We sat down at the bar and waited and waited and waited, There couldn't have been more than 30 customers there, apparently we must have been invisible. The male servers seemed odd or lost and the female servers dress like they may as well be standing on the corner of Broadway, Yikes! It was quite scary, had to shower it off after leaving.
