Great restaurant my wife and I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The place can be hard to find. It is in the corner of a strip mall. Don't let the strip mall part put you off. This place is a great Irish pub and their Irish whiskey and tap beer selection is the best in the whole Valley. Check out the pics of the beer list I posted. Food is well thought out and great pub fare. Shepard's pie is good and the burgers well done too. The Guinness Marinated Steak ($8.95) is excellent. They have non Irish food too. Several wrap selections and salads as well. A real winner is their take on the Cuban Sandwich. Another disappointment. Came here for lunch around 12a-1p. Sat at the bar I was by myself and I felt instantly unwelcome. The bartender kate?-ie, made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience. It was very busy, there were only maybe 6 other people at the bar. The cook came out and said the food was done, and I literally watched her look at my food and let it sit there for a good 4-6min, before finally grabbing it, again she was not busy, or must of been too busy talking to her fellow co workers at the bar about how busy st.pats days was yesterday. Asked for my bill, she said sure (so I know she heard me) then goes off and goes and plays dice with other customers, and ignores me. I had to ask another person to cash me out. The food was okay, I just had a veggie wrap and some rice, which you can't really mess up. I most likely won't be back, I'll go find another Irish pub where I feel more welcomed and I will not be recommending this place. read more

Went here for an early dinner. Always wanted to go to an Irish pub. I was pleasantly greeted by the woman behind the bar. My girlfriend and I took a seat and took in the atmosphere of the place. The seats and tables were a dark wood and the decor was very pleasant. The menu was unique and were on wooden planks which was interesting. I ordered the Shepards Pie which was incredible. And ordered a side of soda bread and honey butter which I LOVED. My girlfriend ordered the Reuben Panini with fries. The fries were handcut and were very good. All in all, the food was amazing and definitely a go-to place to eat. read more

This was one of the cutest pubs I've been to in my travels. The decor was amazing, the ambiance is great. We sat next to the fireplace which made it even better. I order a grilled chicken bacon sandwich with fries. The fries are made in house which made them even better. I used their dark ale mustard with bbq sauce and it came on Ciabatta bread which was to die for soft. We also ordered pretzel bites which was delicious. This is my favorite place for soup. The soup changes daily, but Friday you will always find clam chowder. The corned beef and cabbage on Wednesday can't be beat. Try the Brussel sprouts, they are roasted-not boiled to death. Great food, great beer. read more

Food is normally good, but today it was average at best. But it takes FOREVER to get food. Not the server's fault. They check on us but food is not ready for at least 40 minutes consistently, regardless of busyness. Today the shepherd pie was all potatoes, little meat/veggie. So i came here while visiting a friend in WI. The place was pretty cool and we got some snacks which were great. The biggest detractor from this place was some of the patrons. Specifically someone who kind of just sat down with us and started chatting and telling a few miserable stories. It was really sad, but at the same time i come to a bar to hand out with my friends and to be happy not to be brought down, she had a few to many drinks and I'll put that on the bar. This place was a coin toss between 3 and 4 stars, but the patrons at bars tend to be regulars and I think this experience might be unique. Food was really good here. Had the perch and the breading was a little different than usual for perch, more of a batter (or maybe just a thicker batter than usual). It was very good though. The tartar sauce was the best I've ever had! I also had the potato pancakes. They were also not the usual potato pancake, very flavorful with thyme and rosemary and almost a sourdough taste. Again, very good, just different. They also have a good selection of beers and I especially enjoyed the ginger pale ale (Ginja Militia) from Bare Bones. Went with family, and we all ordered potato pancakes. We all swore the dirt and a whole can of pepper somehow got dumped in the mixture. No one could eat them and when the waiter came over, we told him how they tasted. He said, kind of snippy, well thats the way we make them and you are the first people ever to complain. And he walked away. Our table had 10 people at it, all unhappy with their meals and we wont go back. I tell everybody about the bad meal AND service. And so does the rest of the family. That is a lot of people complaining about food and service.......at a place that did nothing to make up for bad, inedible food. read more

We're in town early for EAA this year (known just as "Oshkosh", "OSH", or "#OSH15" to us tourists) so we can pick up a little local flavor before the madness. As soon as I hit Yelp in search of someplace on our side of town, I knew this was the destination for the night... We are always suckers for a well-rated Irish pub (and usually still curious about a not-so-well rated one). We must've walked in right at the end of post-work happy hour, as the nearly full bar cleared out within about 10 minutes of our arrival. The bartender obviously knew most of the crowd by name, and was busy getting checks closed out, so she was just a little slow in getting to us initially. After the first order was in, though, she was quick and helpful. We're really hungry, so we opt to split the Irish eggrolls and bangers & mash. Wow. Both were amazing. I've had spins on the reuben eggroll at other bars before, but none of them could compare to these... definitely fresh, large, and perfectly cooked. As we split the three of them, we started to question the sanity of the bangers, but we knew we could find a way to finish it all. The sausages come split and grilled, which I don't think I have ever had at a restaurant before, and it added to making them amazing. Abundant use of worscestershire sauce in the sausages and gravy was evident and added to making everything super tasty. The honey butter for the soda bread capped it all off nicely. By the time we were done, we were stuffed with no hope for dessert. So there may be another visit to see what they have and to work through some more of the menu. read more

Went here for lunch with a coworker last Friday and was plesantly surprised. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap and asked for a side-salad, as well. The honey mustard dressing was delicious. The soda bread (and honey butter) that came with the side salad were aaamazing. And the main entree, the chicken wrap, was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The waitress was really nice. The restaurant was charming and clean. Total bill (water, side salad, chicken wrap) was less than $10 and I left really satisfied! Decent food - but this is more of a bar than a restaurant. I'm not a big drinker, so I can only rate the food, waitress and atmosphere. Our waitress was great. I wish I knew her name. I'm just really bad with names. The husband and I split the Reuben egg rolls and fish and chips. The Reuben egg rolls were by far our favorite. They have bits of pastrami, mozzarella cheese (odd choice but it wasn't bad) and sauerkraut inside of a somewhat crispy egg roll wrapper. You almost need the 1000 island dressing that comes on the side to add moisture to the somewhat dry interior. I don't typically eat 1000 island but spread a hint of it here and there for texture. I'd rather have an English mustard to go with it, but they only have the day-glo yellow mustard. The fish and chips are just odd. They are somewhat spicy and not made of cod. My husband took a few bites and quit eating. I finished the filet I had because it didn't taste bad - it's just not at all what we thought we were ordering. In all, for being in a small town with limited options (I'm from Austin), it wasn't bad. read more

They also have a great soup selection, there is always something different and surprising. The house chips with malt vinegar will make you wish you never had to see a French fry again. We came around dinner time and it was pretty crowded. It took a while to get seated and for our food to arrive, but we enjoyed their large selection of tap beers in the meantime. The best dish seemed to be the fish fry. Reuben and other sandwiches were pretty average. Their mashed potatoes are great though, topped with butter and a sweet gravy. I'd head back to Dublin's to grab drinks but would likely head somewhere else for dinner. read more

This is my favorite Irish pub in the whole world! I've been to over 100 Irish pubs throughout the Pacific and the US And none of them compare to the food and drinks here. For lunch I had a delicious Ruben and Chippers...they were fantastic. I had my favorite Wisconsin beer, Spotted Cow, to wash it down. And then I had a few more. After the football game was over I was ready for dinner. I ordered the Banger burger with cheese curds and my favorite cider, Ciderboys. The burger has to be one of the best I've ever had. My wife and I heard about this place opening and so we gave it a shot and man was it good. I had a build your own burger which was delicious, the bun was toasted perfectly and the burger was cooked perfectly to order. My wife had the Shepards pie which looked fantastic, and she said tasted way better than she's ever had. I tried a bite of her Sheperds pie and it was delicious. It was thick and not super soupy unlike other restaurants we've had it at. Will be back soon! Highly recommended! read more

Stopped here on our way back to the Fox Valley from Milwaukee upon the advice of my Facebook Food group (actually they gave me to very strong reco's but we decided to try Dublins first just - well just because) The place did not disappoint although I was very surprised that it was nestled smack in the middle of the high retail commercial corridor off of highway 41. (Think, Red Robin, Olive Garden, Hobby Lobby, etal) What a hidden gem (although I suspect that Oshkosh folks know all about this) Started with the Black and Tan fried pickles - best I've ever had including any in the south which is where they're supposed to be signature - crispy and tangy. Tried the "Irish" stew and BTK had the St. Patty's melt. My only "ding" on the stew besides it being beef vs Lamb (which is what I think of for Irish stew although I know that beef is OK too) is that there really were no chunks of beef - could taste it in there but mostly the stew was lovely potatos and carrots. The bread that comes as a side was awesome. BTKs melt was delicious and cooked perfectly, although slightly lacking in salt. The fries that accompanied were crispy and tasted of potatoes! (there's a concept) Overall we really loved this hidden gem and will definitely be back read more

My husband and I ate there during the EAA Airventure. I was looking forward to the traditional Irish fish and chips (cod), but they use haddock and made it spicy. So I ordered the Grilled Chicken Panini. I figured that there wasn't much they could do to mess up grilled chicken. Boy was I wrong! The chicken was cut up in cubes and tasted like it was boiled and not grilled. One half of the panini had 3 cubes and the other had about 20. It was awful. The fries were soggy thin strips. My husband had the buffet and wasn't pleased with the food either. The service was very good, but the food wasn't. read more

Stopped in 3/7/14 for Friday night fish. I had the haddock with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The fish was good. It didn't have a fishy taste to it. The mashed potatoes had a little bit of the skin left on and were very good. To drink I tried the beer named "Velvet Rooster". It was very good. Hops and Props was going on the following night at EAA so servers were going around offering new beers to try and buy. I ended up liking it so much that I had two glasses of it. The only downside of eating at Dublins was our waitress seemed to be having a bad night and was crabby when taking our order. She never came to see if we needed refills (we had to ask another server for refills), didn't bring extra tarter sauce, and rolled her eyes when we asked for the bill to be separated into two. read more
