Such a nice steak house. It's a must-go when you are having vacation at the Moon Palace! We tried a number of their signature dishes and they were beautifully grilled. The Charred Octopus is marinated with pepper oil, served with confit potatoes and arugula. It topped with herb and caper vinaigrette. Perfectly grilled and it is highly recommended. As for the mains, the New York 10 oz. was fantastically grilled to perfection. What an excellent steak! The Rib Eye 10 oz. was also nicely grilled. Great medium rare texture with good meat quality. And the sirloin filet 7 oz. is not good for IG at all, but it was surprisingly tender. Thumbs up! For the Picanha 14 oz (for 2), it was a little underwhelmed with the meat texture. A bit chewy even though it's already done medium rare with good fat around it. Honestly, it could have been done better. Nice servers around with good attentiveness. Great dining hall. It is spacious with a good vibe. We had a pretty enjoyable dinner there. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a very tasty dinner here. Made a reservation on the app and was promptly seated. The ambiance is very upscale and we felt spoiled. I loved the flank steak, garlic mashed potatoes and lava cake. I would skip on the wedge salad and the calamari. I would have ate here again if there wasn't so many other places to try on our vacation.

Starting off, the interior is really nicely decorated, large, and spacious. At first glance, definitely looks a little upscale. My brother had made a reservation using the Palace Resorts app for 4 people at 6:30 PM. When we showed up, the hosts had difficulty finding the right reservation and told us that our reservation was for 14 people under a different name at a different time despite us telling him our room number and correct last name. The switch-up didn't give us the greatest first impression but the food quickly made up for it. The appetizers were great and the steaks were even better though my mom's was a little too medium rare to the point where it was much too red and chewy and that's coming from a family who loves our meat medium rare. The sides were a little lacking as well - we were not expecting half of a potato for the baked potato, the Mac & cheese tasted like it came from a box, and the creamy spinach was a little runny. Dessert was redeeming with goat cheese cheesecake and a white chocolate raspberry bread pudding. Service was on point and very attentive. For the most part, my family loved the food here and my dad definitely left the restaurant raving about it to the rest of our extended family.

Inside the Grand at Moon Palace. This is one of the better restaurants. It is now being challenged by The Grill and Palapa Asadero. They have taken the lamb off the menu, which is a huge disappointment. Some of the steaks have been taken off as well. We like to Come Here for dessert now since the main courses are not as plentiful.

The bottom line is that we've had WAY better steaks than the ones that were served to us that night. I guess it was the quality of the beef or something because every steak just about was tough and you can tell that it just wasn't seasoned enough. Good presentation, the service was ok and that's about it. To me this is a below average steakhouse. Like I said in my review of le chateau, this was a trend with the restaurants we picked on this trip at the resort.

I won't lie, I was torn here. We were a large group (18) and split into 2 tables. I know that complicated things - BUT - 1 table was done completely, including dessert, and the other was still getting served main courses... despite all being seated at the same time. Table 1 was given bread, table 2 (my table) was not... having stollen some of theirs, we determined that it was very good and we asked for some. It came out right before dessert. I had short rib tacos for app - very good. Then the short rib meal, which were told didn't come with sides so we ordered sides... it came with sides so we had double potatoes and I'm ok with that... no such thing as too many taters! It was ok, loved the truffle mashed potatoes and the mushroom sauce. Dessert - I tried both the goat cheese cheesecake (friend ordered) & the chocolate lava cake - neither were to my liking and I adore both goat cheese and chocolate. Drinks were good but it took an act of nature to get additional drinks. Between the inconsistent service and the dishes that were a miss, I feel like this was very middle of the road. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite of the trip. I was thrilled to see short ribs tho, absolutely thrilled. Skip dessert.

Au Gratin Potato's and Mexican corn! So good! Don't skip these!

The steakhouse was my favorite dining experience in the Grand Moon Palace. Reservations can be rough to come by even when the resort is at 40% capacity. It's hard to understand why they limit people when it's physically empty. We loved the crab cake appetizer. Crunchy, flavorful and the sauce was a great accent. We also tried the zucchini goat cheese appetizer but suggest skipping that one! The sides were our favorite part of the meal. Creamed corn, au gratin potatoes and the mashed were fantastic. I ordered the salmon entree and my friend scored 3 musketeers which was three filets with the 3 different sauces. The salmon was perfectly cooked and served with asparagus. The staff really worked hard to provide and excellent experience! Chef Julio even stopped out to meet us! Make sure you reserve this one early!

This place is not just a steakhouse. My husband and I came here on our first night. Everything we ordered was amazing. The only con would be that I haven't found any good steak in Mexico so far and didn't find it here. We started with the beet carpaccio, beef carpaccio, razorback clams to start. They were light enough to not fill us up right away. I also got a special birthday drink which was really good and my husband ordered a bottle of Caymus. For out entree my husband picked out the lobster and he ordered the octopus. The cheesecake was delicious and so was the lava cake. It was amazing having the staff sing to me. The staff was wonderful. Our friend Carlos did ans amazing job. We are going there again before we leave.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.

All-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Very eclectic menu, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I started withe the Mango-Tamarind: Lettuce, Indian walnut, mango, blueberries, Cotija cheese, mango-habanero dressing and tamarind billet. Unique and tasty. "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" for the main course was not what you get at a local Mexican joint -- Four tortillas stuffed with chicken, bathed in a creamy tomatillo sauce with melted cheese and a base of refried black beans. This was a 5-star dish! I couldn't resist ordering a side dish though I didn't need to because the enchiladas were really enough, so I indulged myself with fries: these were not your run of the mill French fries. Porfirio's Potatoes -- French fries with chipotle pepper aioli, parmesan cheese and parsley. Finally, if you like ice cream I highly recommend that you order BOTH offerings: 1) "ICE CREAM TASTING" - Strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream from Metate, marzipan ice cream and vanilla from Papantla. Served with grated coconut, chocolate grain, M&M's, Oreo cookies and ice cream cones; and, 2) "PORFIRIO'S MOLECULAR ICE CREAM" - served with cajeta Worcestershire sauce in an ice cream cone. (I know it sounds disgusting right? Nope it worked. The chef is just showing off with this dish)

I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.
