My review is for the breakfast buffet. It is about US$15 per adult. It is not a bad buffet, but compared to high-quality all-inclusive resorts that I've been to, it was a disappointment.
They do have an omelette station as well as a pancake station. I did have the omelette which was good. I've had better. They have a whole section of Mexican food and people in our party that were Mexican were not impressed with the food and said it wasn't as good as authentic. I tried the corn tamales which were a letdown and, as per some, the Chaquiles were a total let down. The fresh fruit station was nice and they have a station of jams and a station for cold cuts and condiments. They have a station of bread which I found to be a little stale and they have a station of pastries, as well as a station for cereal and one for some other meat. It is not a huge buffet even though you're told that that is the case. Overall it was acceptable, but compared to other places we've been to, it's a thumbs down.
The other thing I found ridiculous about this place is that there is an upstairs but we were not offered elevator service. You have to take a plate full of food and potentially one with liquid in it up the stairs on your own and come back up and down to serve whenever you want to get something new. We actually saw someone dropped their plate accidentally while going up the stairs. The first time we were there, we were placed upstairs for the ocean view, which wasn't all that impressive as their ocean/beach is really rocky and not that attractive, and we ate less because of it. The next time we came we insisted on sitting on the first level and it was way better. read more
