El Pirata is a quaint bar / restaurant in Puerto Morales. The drinks were cold and the staff was very friendly.

Great place for drinks and a good meal. They have a house made hot sauce that I loved so much, I asked if I could purchase two bottles to take home. This restaurant is right by the town square and easily accessible. We had lunch after a morning of diving cenotes and it's also a very lively place for dinner. Staff were very attentive and accommodating!

It's was ok at best. Little slow on service. Would've had another drink if waitress had come around. Fish tacos weren't very flavorful but they were very large. Chips and condiments were good. Restrooms are interesting here. Check them out if you stop in. Local group came and preformed in the street. That was very entertaining. Lots of Americans so you can have conversations and pick up tips.

Definitely a hidden gem, laid back chill vibe. Came around 9:30 & live band was playing. Not fancy at all but who needs fancy when the food is so tasty. Fish tacos & pulpo so fresh & flavorful. Glad we took a chance here!

Amazing food!! I will be visiting again when I go back. The ceviche de pulpo frito was also amazing.

We made reservations to sit outside, which was also recommended. Cute town and a nice downtown city ambience. Started with the provolone appetizer special, which was similar to cheese fondue. Was served with fresh pita bread and was good. Also tried three different empanadas and these were a first for us! So fresh and delicious! Nice size, too! My husband ordered the outside skirt steak and thought it was good. I had a few bites and thought it was ok .. but I'm more of a filet girl. My daughter ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was a nice size and also very good. A nice place if you're looking for a good variety and fresh food in a downtown atmosphere. Also walking distance from the square which was a bonus.

The empanadas are the star of the show. Light and fluffy crust with very flavorful inside. I have the carne one. My dinner was the flank steak which comes with a salad. The salad is perfect with a honey mustard dressing served on a carving board along side the steak. This is where I give a 4 out of 5 star. I did order a flank steak and know this cut is tough but it was very tough. Outside of that this is a great option if you want a steak without steak house prices. I paid $500 peso and the empanada is 75 peso

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.

We started with the delicious Parmesan bread.. which was so light and puffy on its own, delicious, but then the sauces it came with really set it off. The green avocado sauce was so good, I could have eaten all of it haha. Rodrigo sold my husband on getting the steak on fire and boy was he happy ! The steak comes somewhat cooked then it is doused in 2 alcohols and butter and set on fire! Check out the pics, it was a really cool experience and it was one of the best steaks we've ever tried. It came with two dipping sauces, a red wine composite and a green chimichurri sauce. The chimichurri sauce was bangin!! We also got a nice red bottle of wine to pair with the meal. My meal consisted of sides-- the lobster/shrimp Mac and cheese and the Caesar salad. Both were really good, the salad was much bigger than I expected and had a runny egg on top... not my thing but I tried to embrace the experience! It was still really good. The Mac and cheese was super cheesy with Gouda and it was delicious! Those two things were so filling I had to take it some home. The manager Manuel also personally came to check on us and our experience during the meal which was nice. He also took photos of us outside which we appreciated. They also brought us an anniversary dessert because we shared that we were celebrating and it was like a deconstructed caramel muffin with ice cream. It was so good when each part came together! The hostess insisted that there was no where that we could sit that would put us together. She was very inflexible. Thankfully, the manager came over and did what made the most sense...moved two tables together. Once we were settled, our waiter came over for our drink orders and we decided on our meals as well. I was definitely looking for a great steak so I split the bone-in ribeye, along with sides of broccoli, a loaded baked potato, and brussels sprouts. The steak was presented on a sizzling skillet and it was cooked a little under what we'd ordered. After eating most of it, we realized that they'd mistakenly given our dining companions our correct order and we had theirs. That explained the incorrect cooking temperature on both of the ribeyes. But, the seasoning and flavor of the beef was really good. We all loved the brussels sprouts and the broccoli. The portion sizes for the sides was generous and definitely enough to share between two people. The round dining room at Quinto is beautiful with a large chandelier in the center. Seating is available outside or upstairs or downstairs inside. They finished the meal with tiny sorbet con

I order a glass of Malbec from Argentina- happy they had a decent wine selection as many places in Mexico only have good beer or tequila. For my entrée, I had bacon wrapped tiger shrimp on a bed of mashed potatoes. Yum!! Daniel had a lobster pasta dish and it was quite good too though I think we both preferred mine. The price was very reasonable - for 2 apps, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine it was $77 USD before tip. It would be nearly impossible to have that much for that price at a fine dining place here. There were three of us, and we visited around 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. My seafood risotto appeared spoiled and had a hair in it. My husband's tacos made him feel ill after only one bite, and he had to leave for the restroom immediately. His drink was extremely sweet and seemed to contain little or no alcohol. My drink was incorrect, served only half full, and came without a straw or garnish. Service was also lacking. We had difficulty communicating because no one assisting us spoke English. We poured our own water throughout the meal and were never asked whether we wanted refills or additional drinks. To make matters worse, we were celebrating my daughter's birthday that day, and it was completely overlooked despite our mentioning it. We felt so sick and uncomfortable that we wanted to leave immediately. We attempted to communicate our concerns and explain that we were not feeling well, but we were unable to get assistance due to the language barrier. We will be returning to the area in December and hope you will be willing to make this right. We would appreciate hearing how you can address the issues we experienced and restore our confidence in your restaurant. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
