I looked around the area and came across Malibu Cleaners. Thus far, I've been delighted with the experience I have had on both of my two visits to Malibu Cleaners so far. While the price is more than I paid at prior cleaners, I am more than willing to pay this price for the service that I've been offered. On my first visit to Malibu Cleaners, I had to get several shirts and pants dry cleaned. I picked everything up the next day in great condition. This was before I realized that I really didn't need everything dry-cleaned. They had Saturday hours, so I dropped off three shirts on Saturday afternoon. They are closed Sunday but two of my shirts were ready on Monday when stated. One wasn't ready until Tuesday but that was due to there being a small stain they couldn't get out without the possibility of damage to the shirt itself. I appreciated them spending an extra day trying to remove the stain. When I stopped by yesterday, I saw someone just in front of me with what looked like a dozen shirts. A second employee saw me waiting before the customer with all of the shirts and immediately stepped up to see how they could assist me. I also appreciated not having to wait long. Malibu Cleaners is considered "the Phoenix Valley's premier, full-service dry cleaner and laundry." You can learn more about them by visiting their website at https://www.malibucleans.com. They are a green cleaners and has a mission that includes providing quality and service to exceed customer expectations. They have set prices for laundered shirts, dry cleaned pants, dry cleaned suit jackets, and wash and fold service by the pound (and more on their website). They are opened weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM, Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM, and closed on Sundays. Closed brought in are typically ready the next day after 4 PM. Upon request, if in before 9 AM, it could be ready the same day by 4 PM at no extra charge (except for Tuesdays and Fridays). As a quality cleaners nearby, I will look forward to stopping by for more service again soon!

I made a point of explaining that I knew the sequins and trim would probably be sensitive and to take special care when cleaning. What I got back was a crumpled and ruined dress. Completely unwearable. I was given $100 credit and I never complained. Assuming this was a one time mistake I brought in other items. A $250 Veronica beard skirt that I loved that had some stains- I again asked them to pay attention and take special care and pretreat. Instead I got back a skirt worse than what I brought in. I've tried oxy clean and even bleach to remove the very dark new stains to no avail. The skirt is unwearable. Finally, I brought in a $400 pair of Veronica beard shorts and they came back missing the enamel front of the button. After all this, I called to see if maybe they had the missing part of the beautiful button and explained how disappointed I have been with my damaged clothing. They said someone would get back to me. There was no word for 5 days. I reached out again. I was very calm trying to explain what's been going on and was interrupted and argued with from an angry gentleman telling me it was my fault because I was expecting too much from them as a discount cleaner. I told him that I pointed out any sensitive issues prior and they should have told me they wouldn't be able to handle it. Instead, as he said, they just throw the clothes into a pile and it's not their problem. I sad part is I really only reached out to see if they had my broken button as I can't find one comparable and he created a shitstorm of an argument. I wasn't asking for money but I was bringing up the issues so they understood what's been happening. But because of the manager? Owner? Whoever he is, it ended with me out 3 beautiful pieces of clothing I love and man yelling at me and ultimately hanging up on ME!!!!!! I don't think I have ever had this bad of a customer service experience. Ever. I'd stay away if you care about what you are bringing in there and want to be treated kindly. If I could give zero stars I would.

As a customer and business owner, I realized that dry cleaning prices are not fixed and there are many challenges and complexities within the business. Not all stains will lift and not all materials are susceptible for cleaning. With that said, we all need to take ownership of how we care for the garment and be more well informed and educated of whether the item can be cleaned (i.e., read the labels, can you clean it and if so, dry clean or can it be laundered?) It humors me reading a complaint about buying an antique dress for $50 and being quoted $450 for steaming and spot treating. A place across the street can provide the same service for $15! The context of the review doesn't even make logical sense as I have never heard a place charging $450 to press a dress. Yet, what place across the street can do it for $15 and still both are in business? Don't even get me started on calculating the math on the difference in mark up as the information provided is absurd.
