This move was a disaster from start to finish. JBMoving picked up furniture from N Palm Beach FL and made stops in Stamford and Berlin, CT and Beverly Hills and Calabasas, CA. They were supposed to call all parties and coordinate a mutually convenient time for the deliveries. Instead, they contacted the two CT residents and one of the CA residents. Had they called both CA residents, they would have known that the second CA resident was having surgery the day of the scheduled delivery. It took numerous phone calls to get the move BEGRUDGINGLY changed to two days after the surgery! A very inconvenient day. On the day of the delivery, the movers did not know that one of the table to be delivered was 7 feet long. It was their movers who packed the table in FL! The movers were unprepared to bring the oversized table up the stairwell even though they had been warned that the elevator in the building was very small. The residents had to pay outside people to help the movers. So far we have assessed the damage as a completely destroyed a beautiful ornate side table, chipped the stands for the dining room table and a chipped interior wall in the living room. It took three phone calls and two emails to Cyndi before we received the insurance claim forms. Very unprofessional and definitely NOT white-glove service. read more

We moved a number of times with JB moving and we were very satistied. We found their staff to be polite, pleasant, efficient and very professional. They were careful in packing and moving boxes or from large funiture pieces to small china. We never had anything broken or damaged. While moving us back into our new homes, they were helpful in setting up each room following our requests. Rugs, sofas, chairs, French armoire, beds, lamps found their right places. What I presume was in part language barrier led to significant losses of items and files which were probably put in the dumpster, rather than in my storage unit. Long story short - we were told for weeks that the date we were requesting was not at all a problem. After meeting with us, we were again reassured that our date was not a problem and that we would receive a quote in a day or two max. We received the quote a week later, and were told that as of the day before, our date was no longer available. More info - We had spoken with this company about an upcoming move, and told them the dates we would need to move. They told us it was no problem and assured us that they'd be able to work with us. Perfect! Weeks later, we had someone come out to look through the house and take an inventory. Once again, I went over the dates and was told, reassuringly, that it would be no problem. I was told I would receive a quote in 2 days, but possibly the next day if they could. Perfect! 1 week later we received our quote with the wrong date. We said we would like to work with them but wanted the date to be corrected to reflect the date we had agreed upon. We were told that date was no longer available and that our date was booked up as of yesterday. So now we were in a bind, scrambling to find a mover 2 weeks out because JB Moving decided, despite their constant reassurance, that booking another client that day was more important. Had we received our quote when promised, we would have been able to book our date. Instead, it looks like a more expensive client came along, so they waited for them to confirm before telling us we were SOL. There's no excuse for this. This is incredibly unprofessional. We were super responsive and didn't hold up the process at all. The only one who held up this process was JB Moving, who delayed our quote, causing us to lose our moving day we were assured was ours for weeks, and not only that, but just a couple weeks away from our moving date. I'm shocked that a seemingly reputable company would so easily pull something like this - it's disgraceful. read more

If you decide to use JB Moving you're better off placing all of your items in a shopping cart and pushing it over a cliff. Recently hired JB Moving for a short-distance move. Every one of their "services" was very underwhelming, not to mention embarrassingly inferior. Packing was not adequate and many packed pieces when pulled out of boxes were broken. NO attention to detail. During pre-move walk-through several items were called out as being delicate requiring extra careful attention and ultimately no wrapping or extra packing/moving precautions were taken so pieces were damaged. No supervision or attention to quality control. Kicked around furniture like it was a soccer ball. Overall many dents, dings and broken pieces to many pieces that JB Movers transported. VERY SLOPPY and not conscientious of valuables. Left a lot of items behind and had to reiterate to movers four tines to look through entire house to make sure ALL contents were moved. Careless disposal of materials. Cigarette butts and empty water bottles all over property when job was completed. The booking office wastes NO time in processing your payment, and never sought approval for processing of payment. They will tell you anything you need/want to hear to book the job without any follow-up. If you care anything about any of your household contents...find ANOTHER mover!!! If google review allowed it I would give JB Movers one-half of one star. read more

They packed up the contents of our big house quickly and expertly in August, 2015. Two movers drove our furniture, our valuables, over 150 oil paintings wrapped to perfection, etc. down to Naples, Florida and our new home in less than a week. They quickly carried all into the house, deposited boxes where we designated and completed all in record time. Nothing came broken. The movers were gentlemen to the nth degree.
