It has been in business since 1854.(not1954). Trish and Scott Many are the fifth generation of the family to operate the company. There was not a nick or scratch in our house or the condo that we moved into. Great job and certainly enough to warrant a 5 Star rating. However, Many's goes beyond what any other company does. A door in our kitchen broke the evening before the move and Scott fixed it. My desk could not fit in my office in the condo. Scott took off 2 legs that were glued to the top, moved the desk into the office and restored the desk to better condition than before. Same with s bar getting into the basement which Scott advised would not fit down the staircase. Not sure what he did, but the bar is sitting in our basement. Whether you are moving to a new residence or just want Many's to move furniture around your current residence, Many's has to be your choice. The crew is great. Polite, friendly and very careful. The stress of moving is tough enough without having to worry about the quality or integrity of your…read moremoving company. I tried to research movers but found lots of spurious info and more than a few horror stories. But the carting company I used to haul away trash before the move recommended a well estbalished firm down the street from their office... Many's Express. I went to their location.... IMPORTANT as you want to be sure they are not just brokers and check out the facility, trucks, storage areas, etc. I met Scott Many and his Dad.... I believe it was Scott's grandfather who started the firm way back when. Multiple generations of Many's have owned and managed Many's Express and are on site today... that made me feel good. Scott is true gentleman, softspoken, no hardsell. Visited my home and offered an estimate, with flexible pricing on "packing", based on how much we did in advance of their team coming in to finish as needed. (Turns out we only paid about 1/3 of the packing charge based on what we did on our own). Scott was also very cool on some last minute changes we needed to coordinate.... my son would be taking his own apartment, but that place would not be ready until about 10 days until after our move. So Scott offered reasonable plan and fee to take his stuff, put itr in storage, and move him in at a later date. His team was a collection of really nice and respectful men.... but all the more reassuring was that Scott was on the job himself (kinda shocked me actually, but great to see!). They had to deal with some big heavy pieces, hot summer heat, and a steep driveway that precluded the trucks from getting near my home. They shuttled furniture up the steep driveway, having rented a flatbed from Home Depot (at their own expense, no impact on my cost). Ingenious, and no extra charge. They were at my new house (110 miles away) at the exact appointed time, and the move in was a breeze. (No steep driveway helped a lot!). A van and a second truck were unloaded and in in about 3.5 hours time, I was shocked! And everything ended up where it belonged by the box markings and/or direction we provided "real time". My wife stills commenst to this day about what a beautiful job they did carefully storing all her Christmas ornaments and Christmas Village boxes in the storage area she designated... not just left in the area, but each box or container carefully placed and fitted on shelves.. As an FYI, I tipped the crew each day that they were working with us. I did not wait until the end... I always feel that it is good to show ur appreciation as the job unfolds. I had asked Scott what was standard. He told me that nothing was required... but a tip of about $20 to $25 per man per day is appreciated. So bottom line, it cost me about 4% more to say "thanksl" to the crew on a daily basis, and I suggest u do the same. The care that we received by the time we were moving in was off the charts. Final note on Scott that I really appreciated.... he says what he can do, and CAN'T do, and then does what he said he would. Logistics are everything in their business (only so many trucks, so many men, and move dates already committed). So sometimes flexibility cannot be accommodated. I would much rather have someone tell me what I need to hear, as opposed to what I want to hear, as long as I know that that is reciprocated by committing to what we agree upon. And that was the case here, for sure. I do not mean to sound like an advertisement.... I assure u that I had no previous dealings w/ Scott or his firm prior to this move. They simply deserve the praise that I offer.

You know how when you FINALLY get divorced and it is time to…read morefind a better place to live because you have finally recovered from the financial disaster (not to mention emotional wear) that was your marriage? And you're frantically trying to find the right movers and you have aggressive sales people calling you from moving companies and NO ONE is really paying attention to your situation and you feel like you are just talking to con man after con woman? That was me. Finally, after receiving the most outrageous quotes for minimal service, I took a couple days off from the hunt. Then, I realized that very good friends of mine had moved twice in the last ten years. I gave them a call. "Do we have a mover??!! Margret, look NO FURTHER. Call Moving the Right Way! Tell them we sent you." I did. People, this call made me weep with joy. Someone was paying attention to me, making note of special situations - i.e. furniture that needed disassembly and re-assembly, the lay out of the place I was leaving vs. the layout of the place I was going. I had a list of items and dimensions. THEY WERE INTERESTED IN THAT INFORMATION!! What a concept!! The day of the move, I was not quite ready. I have a special needs, highly functioning, adult child who just got stuck when it came to completing the packing of her things. AND, I had collapsed with exhaustion before finishing packing the worst room - the kitchen. Sure, I paid a little extra for the help - totally fair, but I got serious help! I got SIX GUYS!! SIX of them. Seven hours that stretched into 8.5 hours because I was not quite ready, a big truck and they moved my 2-bedroom from one side of town to a far nicer side of town. These guys felt like my beloved big strong conscientious cousins had come to rescue me from a crummy place and transport me to a place more appropriate for a working mother and daughter. Seriously, they felt like family almost immediately. No one bumped a wall with anything whatsoever in either place. No one was obsessed with their phone. NO ONE took a smoke break! AND the guy who disassembled my massive California King captain's bed (with storage) discovered that that my ex-spouse had drunkenly put it together and actually caused damage to the structure. Look, I was in survival mode for so many years, I just thought it was a cheap Wayfair bed and it was always going to creak like that when I got in it and when I got out of it. Whattaya gonna do? One day, I will afford a good new one. Nope, the mover FIXED the bed. Meticulously examined and fixed every faulty joint in the structure. He had the tools at the ready and the right screws, nuts, bolts, whatever. No more lying awake at night thinking, This bed is gonna collapse; I hope I survive that. The bed now makes no sound whatsoever when i get in it or out of it and not even when I cheer on my favorite shows on t.v. and bounce around with enthusiasm. NO SOUND!!! There was a challenge to get my couch out of the old place - had to go through a first story window because it could not get through the door. My new place was on a second story. I knew I might have to give up the couch, but the movers were talking to one another - AS THEY CONTINUED TO MOVE OTHER STUFF - working out how they might get it in. They weren't standing around wasting time, they were talking and working at the same time. I'm a midwest girl, so I was busy arranging and moving about what the guys were bringing in. And then, all of a sudden, the couch - my prized possession; a hand-me-down ABC Carpet feather-stuffed chocolate velvet beauty - was being hoisted through the window. They didn't bump the building, the window frame --- no problems at all. It came in like butter. I was delighted!!! The guys asked questions when needed and yet they had wonderful instincts as well. NOTHING was lost, mishandled, ignored. There was laughter and there was focus. I tipped every single one of them in cash and they absolutely deserved it. It was only a little bit more than the estimate because I was not quite ready when they came, but it still was a way better price and FAR MORE careful and efficient service than the other companies were offering. I was in EXCELLENT hands the whole day. Don't look any further. These are your guys. Even the management company here at my new property were in absolute AWE with the efficiency of these movers. My only regret is that I didn't think to stock sodas and snacks for them. They absolutely deserved refreshments at the end of the day as they were putting in overtime for me. The best, the best, the BEST!!! You will be thrilled with the results. It's like every single one of them went to some kind of academy to learn "Sorcery of Moving." The skill level is astounding.
