I was extremely happy with Many's moving. First, the cost was very reasonable, so we decided to trust them with my mom's move to an assisted-living facility. It was a very stressful time for my mom, but Scott Many was such a good combination of professional (timely, did a great job, and did everything they said they would do and then some) and a calming and caring influence, that it made the moving experience for my very anxiety-ridden mom as good as possible. My wife and I recently moved from Westchester to NJ and used Many's Moving. I had previously used Many's to move my business 10 years ago. This is THE moving company to use. It has been in business since 1854.(not1954). Trish and Scott Many are the fifth generation of the family to operate the company. There was not a nick or scratch in our house or the condo that we moved into. Great job and certainly enough to warrant a 5 Star rating. However, Many's goes beyond what any other company does. A door in our kitchen broke the evening before the move and Scott fixed it. My desk could not fit in my office in the condo. Scott took off 2 legs that were glued to the top, moved the desk into the office and restored the desk to better condition than before. Same with s bar getting into the basement which Scott advised would not fit down the staircase. Not sure what he did, but the bar is sitting in our basement. Whether you are moving to a new residence or just want Many's to move furniture around your current residence, Many's has to be your choice. The crew is great. Polite, friendly and very careful. Our project required moving about 15 pieces of furniture and some bags and boxes of household items from a quaint old house to a modern apartment complex. And by "quaint" I mean narrow staircases with turns, and two small flights of steps to even get up to the front door. I got bids from two companies that were quite far apart - leading me to think that one of the companies did not understand the job. Many's Moving was the higher bid but Scott and his team DELIVERED! Before providing a bid, he found the house on Google maps and asked where he would be able to park. He contacted the delivery end and got the exact info he'd need for proof-of-insurance paperwork. His team provided proof of COVID vaccination (required by the delivery end). Scott's team arrived on time, packed efficiently, and maneuvered furniture down the stairs without leaving a mark on anything. I used Many's Moving on 2/3/23. I expected a weather delay as temps were in the teens; but no. Scott and Arturo arrived on time and made quick work of getting my 1 bedroom apartment moved. In the new place, they allowed me to try furniture in different locations until I was satisfied. With how many movers can you say that your things arrived in _better_ condition than they started out? I hired Many's because I needed to move a bunch of furniture and boxes from a storage facility in Westchester County, NY to a new home in in a new state. A year ago, when the furniture was originally moved into storage, an expensive Crate and Barrel recliner chair had fallen apart a bit in the process. When Scott and his team moved it into their truck yesterday, I half expected that I'd need to throw it away upon arriving. Well, they showed up at my new house the next day saying that the "chair fairy" had visited during the night and voila! Good as new! They also fixed some loose boards that had come apart from a desk. Scott and his team were ultra-professional, communicated clearly, and were just on it in general. When I was shopping around for moving companies, I briefly considered going with a lower quote from an NYC-based company, but I'm glad I didn't. This kind of peace of mind is so worth it. Oh and one final thing, when they were moving me out of the storage facility, the manager there sung the praises of Many's Moving too. He said, "they're the A team." read more

We needed to move my mother-in-law from a huge apartment to an assisted-living establishment. Scott Many came himself to do the estimate which involved a LOT of art to move. So many tchotchkes! The day of the pack-out, my very critical m-i-l was amazed and impressed by how well the guys were handling her beloved belongings. The next day the goods were unpacked...again, in a respectful and careful manner. And fast! All packing materials were whisked away. Scott himself worked every day with his crew. Best news, Scott presented the final bill and kind of apologized because it was only 58% of the estimate!! He said it was because our family had done so much pre-packing and that we chose to move much of the tchotchkes ourselves. He said he would rather estimate high and have the client happy at the end of the day rather than vice versa. We all were thrilled! And the kindness shown my m-i-l was just lovely. Please use some one else. I called this company to pack a two bedroom apartment in white plains going 50 miles. I have used this company many years ago and they were great. It seems the new generation that runs the business now, has no sense of loyalty. The individual I dealt with. Was afraid of his own shadow. "A real "Mary" the days of men running moving companies is long gone. Oh and the point of the story. 9 thousand dollars. Yes you heard it right 9 thousand dollars for. Two bedroom apartment. I couldn't have been more impressed with Scott and his friendly crew. This was my first big move and they went above and beyond to make it a great experience. We ran into a hiccup due to the limitations of my entryway (no fault of their own), but they kindly took extra time to find a way to make it work. Had an exceptional moving experience today. Many's team of 4 very polite and courteous men appeared 10 minutes early and immediately began a very coordinated move. The men were very careful so as not to damage my furniture or break/ drop anything. Ultimately there were 3 narrow doorways that presented significant problems, but Scott was able to remove the moldings thus allowing the furniture to pass through. He then very carefully re-attached the moldings. Would definitely recommend Many's to all. read more

The stress of moving is tough enough without having to worry about the quality or integrity of your moving company. I tried to research movers but found lots of spurious info and more than a few horror stories. But the carting company I used to haul away trash before the move recommended a well estbalished firm down the street from their office... Many's Express. I went to their location.... IMPORTANT as you want to be sure they are not just brokers and check out the facility, trucks, storage areas, etc. I met Scott Many and his Dad.... I believe it was Scott's grandfather who started the firm way back when. Multiple generations of Many's have owned and managed Many's Express and are on site today... that made me feel good. Scott is true gentleman, softspoken, no hardsell. Visited my home and offered an estimate, with flexible pricing on "packing", based on how much we did in advance of their team coming in to finish as needed. (Turns out we only paid about 1/3 of the packing charge based on what we did on our own). Scott was also very cool on some last minute changes we needed to coordinate.... my son would be taking his own apartment, but that place would not be ready until about 10 days until after our move. So Scott offered reasonable plan and fee to take his stuff, put itr in storage, and move him in at a later date. His team was a collection of really nice and respectful men.... but all the more reassuring was that Scott was on the job himself (kinda shocked me actually, but great to see!). They had to deal with some big heavy pieces, hot summer heat, and a steep driveway that precluded the trucks from getting near my home. They shuttled furniture up the steep driveway, having rented a flatbed from Home Depot (at their own expense, no impact on my cost). Ingenious, and no extra charge. They were at my new house (110 miles away) at the exact appointed time, and the move in was a breeze. (No steep driveway helped a lot!). A van and a second truck were unloaded and in in about 3.5 hours time, I was shocked! And everything ended up where it belonged by the box markings and/or direction we provided "real time". My wife stills commenst to this day about what a beautiful job they did carefully storing all her Christmas ornaments and Christmas Village boxes in the storage area she designated... not just left in the area, but each box or container carefully placed and fitted on shelves.. As an FYI, I tipped the crew each day that they were working with us. I did not wait until the end... I always feel that it is good to show ur appreciation as the job unfolds. I had asked Scott what was standard. He told me that nothing was required... but a tip of about $20 to $25 per man per day is appreciated. So bottom line, it cost me about 4% more to say "thanksl" to the crew on a daily basis, and I suggest u do the same. The care that we received by the time we were moving in was off the charts. Final note on Scott that I really appreciated.... he says what he can do, and CAN'T do, and then does what he said he would. Logistics are everything in their business (only so many trucks, so many men, and move dates already committed). So sometimes flexibility cannot be accommodated. I would much rather have someone tell me what I need to hear, as opposed to what I want to hear, as long as I know that that is reciprocated by committing to what we agree upon. And that was the case here, for sure. I do not mean to sound like an advertisement.... I assure u that I had no previous dealings w/ Scott or his firm prior to this move. They simply deserve the praise that I offer. read more

Cancelled our move date (they had been storing our stuff for 19 months) and didn't notify us - only found out when we contacted them to confirm the date. Many's has been ours or our clients movers for years. The fact that they are on time and gets the job done is irrelevant to how far one has to move. Often I have seen shoddy jobs for moves that were "just next door". Not so with a professional company like Many's.
