Vanity replacement

Jay's team did an amazing job replacing a vanity and two toilets. We will be calling him again the future. He even helped adjust our baby gate. Communication was great and I really appreciated how careful he was to pick up as much as he could.

Jay and his team did our kitchen remodel and the results were beautiful. From start to finish Jay was hands on and very helpful. He helped measure, design and assisted with ordering cabinets and countertops. All of his workers were very hard working and knowledgeable. Our project stayed within the time line (I think it actually finished early) and everything was easily coordinated. Jay never said "no" to a request and always had great suggestions. We would use him again for any big project or remodel that comes up. Call Jay...you will not be disappointed.

Balcony on the second floor. New water proof and title

Jay and his staff are professionals, nice and responsible. My 2nd floor balcony is leaking water and I received multiple quotes and their's look reasonable. Jay made good suggestion for new ideas for me to redo my balcony, with 5 year warranty. He worked with our city permit department to handle the permit needed. Even the city inspector said the water proof done by him is a very good job.

We got Jay to do a complete Kitchen remodel and couldn't have been happier. Jay gave us a very competitive quote and was very hands on throughout the process. The handymen he employs have a great work ethic. We will definitely work with Jay again in the future.

Bathroom remodel
Marc A.

Jay was a most responsive contractor. We hired Jay for a remodel of our kitchen floors/cabinets and 2 bathrooms. He worked with us well. His team worked hard and quickly. The quality of the work was great. His estimates were competitive and reasonable. All the best to your growing business Jay, and we will reach out again in time for our next home improvement project.

Jay and his team exceeded our expectations. We wanted to transform a second-story balcony into a bathroom, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Despite the complexity of the project--which involved framing, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, and tiling--Jay completed everything on time and to our complete satisfaction. Having worked with many contractors over the years, I've never had such a seamless and enjoyable experience, with no issues or unexpected surprises. I highly recommend Jay and his team for their professionalism and outstanding work.

new vanity, led mirrors, and vanity lights

jay installed ev charger and island range hood, and replaced bathroom vanities and mirrors for us. the ev charger included a load manager which avoided costly and time consuming panel upgrade. the workers are nice and friendly and make things exactly the way i wanted. they removed some old vanity cabinets by mistake but jay owned up to it and offered to pay for new ones, without me asking. my family now loves the new cabinets! jay is responsive and prices are very reasonable.

We wanted to relocate the location of our fridge which required installing a waterline, a new outlet and closing off an open doorway. We saw Jay on yelp and contacted him. He responded quickly and came to do a free estimate within days. We really can't believe how fast, clean and exceptional his work was. I would have taken more pictures, but it all happened so fast! It was all wrapped up in a week from contacting him to the new fridge ready to go. He was super responsive and his estimate included every detail and came in exactly as expected. Even though it was a small project for him, we didn't feel less important. We cannot wait to do our cabinets with Jay next!

2G to 3G conversion for exhaust fan.
Abhishek S.

We were in desperate need of exhaust fan in guest bathroom since I had my in-laws visiting from abroad. We also wanted to install new automatic bidets and outlets along with a few more minor house repairs. I reached out to few folks for estimates and found Jay remodeling to give me the best value for the money. It was 1.5 days job and on the first day they sent 2 workers to install the outlets and bidet. Since installing exhaust involved some experience, the master worker said that he would install it himself the next day. Overall they did a great job in installing the outlets in kitchen and bathroom, doing paint touch ups and cleaning the job site once the work was done. They are really easy to deal with and speak English, so it was easier for us to communicate. They were wearing shoe covers and mask all the time. They not only did a guaranteed professional job but also earned my trust to give them more future work. Thank you guys for helping us and getting this done on time.

From the start of the design project, they used high quality sub contractors for design, engineering, and all the trades in the house. Fernando, our project manager was incredible. He approached the project with a keen eye for details and took total ownership over the sub contractors. He would stop by almost every night to ensure that the subs were performing their work and not leaving or damaging any other contractors' work. Sarmad is a problem solver. He sees an issue and thinks through how to solve it, then presents clear options to choose from. Throughout the process, we were not surprised by unanticipated expenses - all changes were clearly explained and we had the option to make changes via clear change orders. EDR uses Buildertrend for all program management and billing, which made payments, change approvals, and scheduling tracking seamless. While this sounds like a basic requirement in 2026, not all contractors use these services which just adds friction to the process. We couldn't recommend EDR more for the quality of work on our house, the schedule execution, care for detail, and just taking care of our project. Along the way, we never felt nickel & dimed, and the value of their services definitely exceeded our expectations.

We liked Sarmad's communication style - methodical and efficient, no extra words. Sarmad was incredibly efficient at managing our project. He made sure to schedule inspections right as we reached each checkpoint in the construction, so every day was optimized. As a result, our project from demolition to completion took just about 4 months. One aspect of our project that we worked closely with Sarmad on was to customize a computer server closet. Specifically, we wanted the closet to be soundproofed and have its own temperature control. Sarmad was very accommodating in our requests to install soundproofing insulation, and even suggested QuietRock drywall to enhance soundproofing. We also worked with the team to install conduits throughout the extension for future cable runs. Throughout the process, Sarmad was responsive to our questions and our requests.

Communication was consistent throughout the project, and they were always responsive to any questions or concerns we had. The work was completed right on schedule, which we really appreciated, and the pricing was fair and reasonable for the quality delivered. Most importantly, the final result is fantastic--our kitchen looks beautiful and functions even better than we imagined. we are extremely satisfied with their work and would highly recommend Cotfort Residential Remodeling to anyone considering a home renovation.

We chose Cotfort to remodel our bathroom because of their excellent reviews and reasonable pricing,…read moreand we are so glad we did. We will recommend Cotfort for the following reasons. Pricing is transparent: Their quote for labor (demolition and installation) was reasonable and easy to understand. We also received a separate quote for their designer. We purchased the materials directly from shops based on the design, which gave us full control over our budget and choices. Excellent work ethic: The entire team was responsive and courteous. Any question we had was answered immediately. On-site, the crew was professional and did their best to keep the work area tidy, sweeping up at the end of every day, even during the messy demolition phase. Best design support: The designer was excellent. She accompanied us to various stores to select tiles, fixtures, cabinets, and vanities, always pointing out the best price-to-value options. She was patient throughout our decision-making process and truly kept our best interests at heart. Quality first: The project took 8 weeks, which included the Thanksgiving holiday and waiting for city inspections. We appreciated that they never rushed the installation. For example, they ensured the tiles cured properly before moving to the next phase and prioritized a beautiful tile layout over a "quick" one. We are very pleased with the end result and the entire process. Thank you to the Cotfort team for your hard work and the genuine care you put into our home!

The crew was respectful of our home, kept the job site clean, and stayed on schedule as much as possible. Any questions or small adjustments were handled quickly and professionally. All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

One thing we really appreciated was how they handled changes along the way. When our requirements shifted, they adapted easily and offered great feedback on ways to simplify our design to save time and money. The team showed up on time each morning, cleaned up before leaving every day, and were always respectful and courteous.
