We hired Ronnie and his nephew recently to repair our ceiling that was damaged from a leak. I'm very satisfied with the work they did and how prompt they were to respond. Though I chose not to get competing quotes, because I was sick of dealing with so many unresponsive businesses, I appreciated how fast Ronnie was to respond and show up with an estimate. I feel like he really undersold and over-delivered, because he warned us that the texture may not match and it may be obvious based on the light from our windows, and that we would need a paint job and he could recommend a painter. Ronnie and his nephew were quick to respond and were also able to squeeze me in quickly to get repairs done for us at our new place. They were both courteous and friendly, and showed up in masks and with drop cloths to capture any dust or debris from the work. We had an actual hole in the wall from a since-removed wall sconce and some very large and visible cracks in the wall owing to some previous DIY work in the place by someone who had elected to not bother using any(!) tape at all. For the cracks, they stripped down the previous work, secured the ends of the drywall (as they were free-floating), and then got everything smoothed out and re-textured to blend into the rest of the wall. The patch over the sconce was similarly smoothed out and textured beautifully! Ronnie was also kind enough to let me know what sort of primer we needed to use after the prescribed drying time to keep the mudding compound from eventually reacting with the paint to affect its appearance, since we'd be doing the paint touch-ups ourselves. We really appreciate the extra time Ronnie took to explain what he was doing as he did it, and we also really appreciate the quality end results and how quickly and efficiently Hole in the Wall was able to complete it. The texture blending was really well done, and you wouldn't be able to tell anything was done unless you were really, really looking hard! We had to replace our circuit breaker panel in the garage and the electrician had to cut a hole larger than the panel to do the work. Ronnie and his nephew did a splendid job of repairing the ceiling around a new whole house fan that we had installed the previous week. You cannot tell where the new and old sheetrock meet. And somehow they even managed to match the color in the texturing "mud" they applied. (See pictures.) My only negative comment is that they don't prime or paint over the repaired drywall, which would have been nice since after the repair work they were set up to quickly paint the area (and thus saving me the trouble). But then Ronnie was frank upfront about what he does and does not do. What he does do is drywall repair and texturing, and he does it very well at a reasonable price. At least one other reviewer commented on Ronnie's personality and attitude. Ronnie is a pleasure to work with and his attitude is positive and definitely customer-oriented.
