1-Star Review…read more Extremely disappointing experience -- think twice before working here or trusting this shop with your vehicle. I'm writing this as a former employee who genuinely came to this shop ready to work hard and do my job. I'm a husband and father who was working to provide for my family, and I always tried to keep God first, treat people with respect, and give customers the best service I could. I showed up early, worked hard, and made sure customers were getting in and out. I wasn't hired to be somebody's personal helper or to simply agree with everything another employee said. I was hired as a mechanic, and I take pride in my work. Unfortunately, one employee, Manny, seemed to have an issue with me from the beginning. I felt like I was constantly being treated disrespectfully and expected to act like a yes-man instead of being allowed to do my job as a technician. If I disagreed with something or had a different opinion, it wasn't welcomed. What really disappointed me was management's response. Rather than hearing both sides and recognizing the work I was doing, my boss chose to take Manny's side and let me go. I actually have the text messages from my former boss confirming that Manny told him I wasn't right for what he was looking for and that he was letting me go. That's what makes this experience so frustrating. I wasn't fired because I didn't want to work. I was working. I wasn't fired because I didn't care about customers. I cared about them. I was fired because I wasn't willing to let another employee push me around or treat me like a dog. As far as my experience with Manny as a technician, I also witnessed things that concerned me. There were situations where sensors were unplugged and parts were being changed without what I considered proper diagnosis first. In my opinion, that's how customers end up paying for parts they may not have needed. A good mechanic should diagnose the problem, test the system, and then replace what's actually defective--not just throw parts at a problem. Manny also seemed unwilling to listen to another technician's opinion. Everything had to be done his way, and shortcuts seemed more important than proper diagnosis. I know the mechanic I am. I know how hard I worked. And I know the way I treated customers. Losing this job isn't what bothers me most. What bothers me is seeing a hardworking husband and father who was trying to provide for his family get thrown away because management would rather keep one employee happy than recognize another employee's hard work. I wish the owner and the shop the best, but my experience taught me that being a hardworking, respectful employee doesn't mean much if management has already chosen sides. Customers deserve proper diagnosis. Employees deserve respect. And neither should have to kiss anyone's ass to get it. 1/5 -- I would not recommend working here based on my experience, and I personally would think twice before trusting my vehicle to a shop where this is how things are handled.

I live down the street so I walked up. The guy at the front desk moved beyond slow and couldn't even recommend anyone locally for a tow truck. He didn't even know what a tow truck was and he seemed lost. I know, Night Shift guys pumping gas may not know who to recommend. I got a tow after hitting google and had the car dropped off. Spoke to the owner the following day at 7. Explain the situation with my car with the ABS lights. He told me he'll look at it at some point during the day. That I just gotta give him time cause he's jammed up and to call in the afternoon to see if they had a chance to check it out. I called at 1 o'clock and a lady answer the phone told me they were just about to put the car into the bay to work on and call back in about an hour. I call back in an hour. The owner picks up and start screaming at me like a lunatic. I've never been spoken to such a way in all my years working customer service and dealing with the public; he was screaming at me so much my boss could hear him over the phone and we were looking at each other horrified. Like I told him I understand you jammed up I was just told by the young lady you were bringing into the bay in an hour ago and call and see if you figure out what the issue was. I can't get off the phone. He would not let me get off the phone screaming at me for over a five minutes and how they still did it look at the issue on the car yet. I called him back later in the day as I'm about to leave work at 4 and I told him I just need to know if you have an idea what the issue is and if I have to make arrangements for the following day for a ride; and again screaming at me like a wild lunatic to only call me a half an hour later and they fixed the car quoted me 300 when I got there it went up to 500 and change. And again he kept yelling at me that I wasn't giving them time and how dare I call. I refuse to do business with them again and I do not recommend them to anyone there is no reason to speak to a human being that way to carry on like a psychopath and as it is, I gotta take the car now to another mechanic this morning cause the brakes aren't working after what they did. Very poor customer service attitude, and I am incredibly angry and disappointed in the way I was treated and spoken to and that the amount of money I spent I gotta still take my car to another Mechanic. If I could get this place a negative star I absolutely would. I would never do business with him again. I won't even get gas with them again. I've never dealt with such horrible customer service.

I'll start by saying I am a brand new Long Island resident, and I'm in the middle of the (arduous)…read moreprocess of setting up my new network. Doctors, gym, manicurist, mechanic. The lot. It can feel like you're back in kindergarten sometimes, walking into new places with new people where you don't really know where to start - 'hello, I'm new here, can you help me?' It can be intimidating as a newcomer to a neighborhood when you're trying to set up all your new connections. You're not sure where to go, who to trust, or whether it will be worth spending your hard earned money somewhere. I am a first time car owner, and needed to set up a mechanic - starting with my NY State inspection. I'll make this very clear - I know nothing, absolutely nothing about cars or inspections and I had no idea what to expect. So, naturally, when I saw five star review after five star review for Ralph and his team, I knew this place had to at least be a good place to start. Ralph is just as affable, warm, and down to earth as his reviews describe. While I was waiting for my inspection to finish, a regular customer came in. He wasn't quite sure about something on his statement, and I overheard Ralph helping him break down his 'balance owed' with the patience and kindness that only a seasoned professional (or parent) could display. Howie went to fetch my car in the freezing cold - even though I'd parked it a little ways away because I couldn't figure out the street parking - and had me on my way in fifteen minutes. You're a champ, Howie, sorry about the walk! I always always try to buy local, and support local business owners. They are the fabric that make up our communities, and to be quite honest, it's just nicer to deal with someone who talks to you like a human, rather than just another customer in a multi million dollar corporation. These guys are a shining example of what it is to be a really great local business in a bustling community. I will be delighted to return to this shop. Thank you Ralph and team.

I pull in this gas station because I can see it's full service with the guy ready at the pump. As he's fueling my tank, I ask if they do oil changes. He said yes but they close at 3pm and you should go now. I pull around and jump out. After telling the mechanic inside what I needed, he jumps in my car and gets started. 15 minutes top and I'm done. I ask about what oil he used. Your car needs synthetic, which is true.
