After having been to Toli Tire in Freeport since as long as I've been here, I needed an inspection. "Uncle" was at the shop and he sent me to the place here in Baldwin to see his son. I couldn't be happier, relatively quick service for an unannounced Sunday morning drop in. I needed the inspection anyway, so all was good. I called around to the chains and they all quoted 2 hour+. They had me out in less time than quoted. And I got to charge my iPhone on this sweet battery Back again- Saturday September 5th. LOVE THIS PLACE. Had an emergency issue with my car which I got diagnosed at autozone. They referred me to Long Island auto repair and told me JP would take care of me. They were right !! The whole staff at LI auto repair is super friendly and trustworthy. It was a pleasure working with them. Although the damage to my car was too much to repair and I decided to not get any work done, JP and his staff reassembled my car and let me pick it up free of charge. I was referred to Long Island Auto Repair by a worker from AutoZone back in June when my car a 2002 Toyota Rav 4 started acting up, my check engine light was on, and my car was stopping with me on the middle of the roads. When I took my car to long island auto repair, I met a young mechanic name JP, who is also the manager of the shop, he was extremely pleasant, and very attentive to me trying to explain what was happening with my car. He took his check engine monitor with him, he check my car, and he told me will let me know what's wrong with my car before the day was over. When he called me, he told me my transmission and computer system was the problem. JP and his team, Carlos and Marion did everything they could to make my car feel brand new for me. They went above and beyond. They found a transmission for the best deal for me. They ordered a brand new computer system from SC for my car. I mean they fixed my car up real good. My new transmission and computer system made my car smooth. I had some other issues with my AC, muffler, etc. They fixed it all. And don't worry about the price. They work with you. They give you the best deal. They show you the work they do in your vehicle step my step. When you enter the shop, they have comfortable chairs, they have snacks, water, Gatorade, coffee and tea for their customers. They have a tv in the waiting room. A few days ago my car was having trouble starting and my mechanic who now I know is honest and one the best mechanics quoted me 1300 -1500 for a time chain change, I really didn't have the money I was told by the manager at Auto Zone in Baldwin NY to call Long Island Auto Repair and they would give me a better price, he said that they fix and sell cars and know what they are doing and would give me a good price to keep me coming back. Against my better judgement I called there and spoke to the owner PJ who told me over the phone that my car wasn't starting because of the TIME CHAIN, he said it would be extremely rare for my Time Chain to break, so I believed him. As soon as I arrived he had us speak with his mechanic Carlos to explain the problems i was having. Carlos said he was working on the same car I have because the Time Chain broke, that was the owners 1st lie to me. The mechanic Carlos told me that my car would start if the chain was damaged or broken. That the was the owners 2nd lie to me, I should have left then, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The next day Carlos calls me and says he diagnosed the car and it was the Time Chain and it would cost me $3000 because he would have to put a new engine. I told him it wasn't worth it I didn't have $3000. He said if you want I can talk to the owner and we can take if off your hands, because we fix and sell cars here. I knew right then and there he wanted to discourage me from fixing it so he can buy it from me to fix and sell for profit. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! THEY SCAM ARTISTS AND LIARS!! Carlos do you want me to put the parts back and I said yes. I told I would have call towing to pick up my car. My mechanic called me and said why did you let some one take your car apart. I didn't know what he meant. My mechanic said my car started and now he couldn't get to start because Carlos ripped the Time Chain out of my car when he got it. My mechanic had pictures of the car before I had it towed to LI Auto Repair and took pictures when it went back to his shop. He said the mechanic at LI Auto Repair ripped my Time Chain out of my car and never put the parts back in place, it was in complete disarray. I was shocked because Carlos while trying to discourage me said all the parts are dissembled do you want me to put them back and I said yes. He was probably pissed he achieve his devious scheme to get me to sell the car to him so he can fix and sell my car for profit. THESE GUYS ARE DISHONEST MEN AND THE OWNER AND HIM CREW ARE JUST OUT TO DISCOURAGE YOU WITH GOUGING REPAIR PRICES SO THEY CAN TALK YOU INTO SELLING YOUR CAR TO THEM AND THEY CAN FIX AND SELL IT FOR THERE PROFIT.
