I was lucky when my ex-neighbor recommended me to go to this car shop about 3 years ago. Since then I visited this multiple times with multiple cars and Mike and all other nice people working at Five Corners were very polite and professional every single time. The level of service is excellent and the prices unbeatable. From simply fixing a tire to replacing complicated parts in the engine, these guys can do them all. I went for tire change, welding of the exhaust pipe, engine issues, door problems, electrical issues, etc. All of them problems got fixed on the same day, most of the time. I rarely had to wait until the next day. You can go and drop the car and keys after closing hours and the only thing you have to do is to specify on paper the car problems and put your phone number on it. They will call you first thing in the morning with a very honest estimate and the approximate time for having it ready for pickup. They are real honest people and never ever try to reap you off. I can't stress enough that this shop is a rare gem among the car repair shops. Don't go with your car anywhere else but there. read more

My regular mechanic is semi-retired and winters in Florida so I brought my car twice to these clowns because the car was riding a little rough and I was auditing a client in the area that month. Not only were they unable to properly repair the original problem, but they tried telling me all these other things were wrong and then of course, things DID start going wrong. Thank goodness my regular mechanic came back for the holidays. I brought him my car - he found loose this and missing that - he said another month and I would have had some real problems. He stopped just short of blaming these jokers but he knew - and I knew - before they got their hands on my car it was it was great shape save for a tune up which was my obsessiveness in noticing a slight rough idle. Never again. Oh and they won't do any "mechanical" work on Saturdays - they reserve that day apparently for their bread and butter - NYS inspections, oil changes - you know - like a glorified pep boys. read more

Passed the station to get home so when I got stuck with my car - I had them tow it there because it was within 3 miles. They said my battery needed to be replaced. Replaced it. Within a month the check engine light went on - never happened before. Brought it back and they did some stuff. Went on vacation, came back and was driving on the parkway when the steering went out. Help truck came by and found a loose belt - said some bolt was missing or loose. They fixed it and said have it checked out. Travelled for work and came back - that week - engine light goes on. Took it to another mechanic who actually fixed the car without breaking anything else. No more lights, loose belts or near death experiences. Be careful with these guys. Most cars don't need constant repairs - not because you drive alot and not because you don't drive enough - both excuses they put on me when I tried to have them take responsibility. read more

I was being a stubborn jerk and I was just probably in a bad mood and I reviewed and reacted with emotion rather than logic and assessment of the situation. I showed up that day at the very last minute without a prior call or appointment for availability. I didn't stop to take into account at the moment just how HARD Mike, Neil(forgive me, Sir. If I misspelled) all work and how busy a bodyshop/auto mechanic can get. Even with my initial review, they were still KIND AND POLITE in their reply. Sorry, gentlemen. These guys never fixed anything right the first time - refuse to take responsibility for other things they break - try and blame YOU when they make errors and the owner is extremely defensive. When I finally stopped taking my care to them - and found an honest shop with better mechanics - the problems that my car were finally fixed AND more importantly - no NEW ones suddenly cropped up after a couple weeks of having my car in their shop. Amazing that they kept telling me old cars have problems but my old car only had problems when I took it to them. I don't believe the reviews on here because I think a lot of them are fake - and these people that keep saying I go to them all the time - LOL - maybe if they had better more honest mechanics - they wouldn't spending so much time taking their cars to the mechanic. Great customer service and quick repair. My car battery was dead and I called to inquire about getting a jump start; Mike asked a few questions regarding the status of the car. He politely told me he would call me back in a few, which he and confirmed what I already knew, that a new battery was required. He told me the cost and that it could be fixed in a jiffy, and then he told me would swing by in a short time to on his way to jump my car so I could take it to the shop. He arrived and did just that,mand I was in my way to the shop to meet Neil. Neil was very friendly and I was in and out of the shop within ten minutes with a new battery and a working car. I have been patronizing Five Corners Service Center since its inception and have nothing but praise for their professionalism and quality of work. I cannot begin to describe all the times they have gone beyond their duties to address the needs of my family's cars. This is especially comforting knowing my wife and daughter receive the caring service they provide. An indication of the dedication the owners have for their establishment is the lack of turnover of their employees, most being there since the business was opened. I am aware that a recent, large investment was made for a computer program purchase that allows them to diagnose all cars with factory support thus furthering ability to proved top notch customer service. Great service. My wife and I really feel like we lucked out when we found this mechanic. Mike is extremely friendly yet no nonsense. He calls to warn you about unexpected issue involving your repairs and gives an honest idea as to what work is needed. The stereotype of the sneaky mechanic adding extra hidden charges is no where to be found here. They want your business and want you to keep coming back, enjoy what they do, and are really good at it. There are no appointments so your best bet is to get there early because they're always busy! Recently I arrived at Five Corners with a very bad steering problem and explained to the manager Mike that I needed the car to keep a meeting later that day up in Bronx . Although very busy, Mike and his mechanics immediately attended to my problem, had my auto up on a lift with the problem quickly diagnosed and resolved. I had my car back and was on my way to my meeting within an hour, In my over 10 years customer experience with Five Corners I have always received this type of excellent professional service. This repair shop is like finding a needle in a haystack. First let me say that I've been dealing with repair shops for over 50 years, and my consensus is that they are all looking to rip you off. Mike G. and his crew are very honest, very thorough, and all very professional. They treat you like family always do the right thing. I have been going to Fiver Corners for over 20 years. Mike and his staff are Helpful, Honest and Amazing. I brought my car in because it was leaking antifreeze. After looking at the car Mike told me my car was still covered under my warranty. I called the dealer who tried to tell me it was not but Mike did further research and my car was still covered under the Power Train Warranty - which the dealer failed to tell. This is apparently a big and expensive job and Mike saved me thousands of dollars. This is why I have stayed with them for so long- I completely trust them and they always do a great job! read more

Mike, the manager, has great experience and knowledge of cars, especially GM, but not limited to that. I've been impressed many times with his quick insight into car troubles. Lenny and Neil are also very competent mechanics and do conscientious work. The charges for repairs are fair and they will not oversell you, but keep conscious of costs and what is truly needed. Took my truck in for an oil change, I expressed that I wasn't sure about my transmission fluid and it might need to be changed. Mike the owner went over my truck, checked fluids, brakes, filters etc. I know nothing about cars/trucks, he could of told me and sold me anything! At the end of the day, all he said I needed was an oil change, he recommended the oil type I needed based on my mileage and driving type.
