Five stars. I'm very particular about my car, and Bellmore Tire & Auto was great to deal with. Johnny and Mikey were very helpful, and Dave did great work. They got me every specialty fluid and filter I asked for without flinching, which I really appreciated. On this visit, I had a New York State inspection, wheel replacement, synthetic oil change and filter, brake flush, and replacement of PCV hoses. Absolute worst shop I have ever gone to. I should've known, a skellmore shop always spells out trouble. Let me compile a list of everything that went wrong. I call Wednesday October 9th. I am assured by Mikey a simple alignment, tire rotation, brake pads, and rotors will be done within a "few hours" from drop off. Drop the car off at 8am sharp October 10th, where it sits... for 10 hours. When I text Mikey asking if it's ready, he ignores the question and asks me to leave a 5 star review. Hilarious. I then go to pick up the car only to find out they forgot to do the alignment! Mistakes happen, right? I'm told the reason for this error is because only "BRAKE PADS" was written on the RO report. Welp when I dropped off the car 10 hours prior, I noticed that, had a feeling it was going to be an issue, and wrote underneath "ALIGNMENT AND TIRE ROTATION AS WELL". Guess no one at this dump can read English. I am then assured by Orlando the mechanic that he will align my car the following morning straightaway. It's now October 11, I drop my car off, Orlando is now nowhere to be found, some old white guy looking like a wannabe DT begins to tell me how one of my tires must've been replaced because the thread life doesn't match the other three tires. Starts acting all confused once I tell him "all four of these tires were put on at the same time about 6 months ago". Suddenly the thread isn't a problem. Again I am told this will be done in a timely fashion. Drop the car off at 8, not ready until after 12. Lo and behold, they couldn't even do an alignment properly. Vehicle now veers to the right! Car drove better pre "alignment". I now have to take it to Sunrise tire and auto who actually know what they are doing. I should also mention, my front brake pads screech like a banshee when I'm braking, so that needs to be redone as well. Also attached are the before and after alignment specs, before being how the car was after taking it to this shop. Mikey also pays for his 5 star reviews, and tries using that as his saving grace when his backs against the wall. TLDR; this shop won't last. Mechanics don't know what they're doing, and no matter how nice Mikey may be, he could give a shit less about his customers. Not the first time a skellmore mechanic with 5 star reviews only screwed me over, but it'll definitely be the last. read more

Went here for an inspection, while I'm waiting I hear one of the mechanics tell the creepy old man (who I'm assuming is somehow the owner) they managed to snap a customers hubcap completely off while trying to check their tire pressure. Creepy old man's response was "well as long as the customer didn't see" with the customer standing right there. Christ, how can you run a business so poorly? I had a problem with the battery on my car and needed it replaced , I live near this shop and went by to talk to them. Explained my problem and my dissatisfaction with using Firestone. The guys in the shop were extremely helpful with replacing my battery and testing it in front of me. They took care of me immediately and I was on my way within minutes. They replaced the battery for less than Firestone quoted me. Quality customer service. Knowledgable and honest technicians are just a few things i experienced here. I showed up without an appointment for an oil change and they took me immediately, and I decided to also have my tires rotated, and the prices were superb for a full synthetic oil change only $59 and $40 for a tire rotation... Before meeting the guys here I had a mechanic who was very unreliable and never took into my time as a customer. Then I went to a place with incompetent service and folks that couldn't care less about customer service (Mavis). Finally upon giving up my wife found Bellmore tire and auto and I said what do I have to lose. Long story short our vehicle had a problem that kept getting pushed off and no one can rectify it. The owners at Bellmore Tire and Auto definitely took the time to figure it out and help from start to finish. If you want service with a straight forward group this is the place to go to. Both my vehicles are running better and they are brutally honest but won't rip you off. They break it down step by step and give you honest opinions. I was able to leave my car and get it when they said it would be finished. Not to mention the clean waiting area and the complimentary coffee and drinks. They really know how to treat everyday folks and not beat you over the head with pricing. Itemized bills and what was done is their forte. Finding solutions to the problems are their knack.
