I went there on a recommendation for help to get a battery bracket put back in place to secure the battery. They discouraged me from the moment they looked at me and then tried to take advantage of me. They tried to tell me I need new terminals which I did not. One terminal was loose because the battery would shift when I drive. When that didn't work they kept saying something like this takes a lot of time in order to justify an exorbitant price they were ready to charge me. To top it off they had a clear bias against woman. They work with you and can always fit us in when we are having car trouble. I get free oil changes with my car dealer and I still bring my car to Division Car Care and I pay for it! These amazing mechanics are miracle workers, honest, and knowledgable. My car ran great but had a check engine light preventing it from passing inspection. Four other repair shops charged for all sorts of unnecessary repairs but could not fix it. Division Car Repair did an intensive search and found the problem. I brought my car there for a second opinion when I was told by another repair shop that I needed new tie rods. They checked it out and told me the tie rods were fine. Family owned which is a plus for me. They took my car in for a few little mechanical things and had it back to me in a day or so, which was great. I got 4 new tires not sure but got a nail in one one the way home?? took back the car...nice enough to fix for free but....who ever did it stripped the nut on my wheel...i then got a brake job..that was not right either, car was bucking...brought it back..they said i meed back brakes too..fast forward..find out because the tire cannot be taken off , tbey NEVER fixed the one brake in the rear..but CHARGED me for it...NEVER going back!!!. read more

I have been going to this shop for years and would never take my car anywhere else! The service is excellent and the family who owns the business are truly great people. As a girl, walking up to a repair shop can be rather intimidating but I have never once felt as if they were trying to rip me off and all the workers are very friendly. We had a problem with a whine in the steering column every time the car was driven for over 20 minutes. Four times over a year they changed the power steering fluid. The last time they started talking about having to change the struts for 700 dollars, and that he heard a grind not a whine. So here we go back to the place to teach them to do their job, drive the car around and show them the actual problem noise. They state that it still might be the struts. At this point I encouraged my boyfriend to take his car to the ford dealership (we drove all the way to syosset), because they at the very least know their own cars. Imagine our surprise when the dealership shop told us that the band-aids that Division kept putting on caused the steering column to crack, and that the whole thing would cost over 1300! If fixed the right way originally it wouldn't have cost more than a couple hundred! The guys at syosset were very nice gave us tons of discounts on their work and parts (trust me, I shopped around!). The final word on these people? ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS! Either that or they're malicious scammers. Oh and btw, our struts are fine, and they would have cost 200, not 700 like division said. i do all my own work on my cars, and I need a new wheel bearing put in, I call this shop to ask if I could bring all the parts in and just have them press in the bearing, they told me it would be 50$, which is a lot of money for a quick 10 minute job, and I told him there is a shop that I already talked to that would do it for 20 bucks, and the guy told me to go bring it to the other shop and pay 20 bucks...I guess im a little surprised he was so quick to pass up a quick buck and lose a potential costumer.. read more
