Great little coffee shop with a lot of different cold brew options. They don't have espresso shots that you can have but they do have shots of cold brew. I ended up getting the Maho specialty drink that had dark chocolate as well as coconut milk. I was a little worried that it would be watery at the coconut milk, but it was actually perfectly balanced with all of the flavors combined. The barista was patient and friendly, and the manager was also friendly and super helpful. I do wish there was an option to have a regular espresso shot, but I like that you have the option to get a cold brew shot. read more

It is so hard to order a fall drink such as: "bourbon caramel latte with butterscotch cold foam" without it being sickening from sweetness... but this place did it! I was so pleasantly surprised with the way that my coffee that took a whole sentence to order (from my own decision) still, in fact, tasted LIKE COFFEE! I have to give accolades to David and his excellent customer service, as well! He was so kind and provided outstanding customer service and guidance, ensuring I got a drink that I truly enjoyed. Heard a couple of coworkers talking about it and decided to check it out. The staff was pleasant and the interior is very nice and has a cozy feel. There are quite a few interesting specialty drinks listed as well as a separate matcha menu(all of which i'm interested in trying lol). I do wish calories were listed on the menu but oh well. I've been twice and tried the Tedster and the Workaholic w/o whipped cream and they were both good. There's a nice selection of bakery/snack items as well as breakfast sandwiches and they are nice and served very hot...holding the heated bag can be a challenge until it cools lol. I will return and hopefully be able to sit a spell to enjoy the café environment and try more menu options. read more

While the Simon Tower can feel a bit sterile, Java House definitely does not and adds some warmth and welcome to this building that also hosts a Patachou location. Java House is a locally owned coffeehouse chain with eight Indy locations and four West Lafayette locations. I've yet to have a bad experience with Java House and the same is true here at this location that opened in late July 2024 a couple blocks from my Indiana Government Center office. I'd say Java House specializes in cold brew and it certainly doesn't disappoint. This location is easy to access from downtown and great for nearby office workers. If I remember correctly, it used to house a Starbucks spot. Free wi-fi, a must for downtown office workers, is available and is dependable with power plugs. The menu includes cold brew, signature drinks, coffee, tea, your usual coffee concoctions, a breakfast menu, a handful of lunch options, some grab n' go options, and "to go" options including pods. The employees were super friendly, the atmosphere felt welcoming yet also fun, I had a $5.95 grilled cheese that I really enjoyed, and my $5 large cold brew hit the spot. Downtown is always a wee bit tricky for wheelchair users, however, there's nearby parking, street parking, and if you're already downtown the curb cuts here are all in place and in pretty good shape. Java House also has some wholesale options and you can get free shipping with a $25 order. While I can't escape the office everyday due to a short lunch schedule, when I can get away for a few there's no doubt I'll be returning to Java House. read more

Today was opening day of this beautiful new Java House located inside the Simon Building HQ. It's big and has a lot of options as far as drinks go. The sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin was good! The employee said the pumpkin bread, blueberry muffins and the sausage, egg, and cheese English muffins are his favorite items as far as food. They had a lemon bar with raspberry inside it and some sandwiches also. They all looked good. I chose one of the cold brews and enjoyed it. Perfect size and it was nice to sit inside the air conditioning on this 90° + day!! The cold drink helped also!!! It's located in the same building that Cafe Patachou is in. They're open 7 days a week also! read more

So far everywhere I've been in Indianapolis the wait staff seem to love their Junes. No different here! Again the signage is up high, so I walked past it a couple of times without noticing it was there. Finally noticed somebody sitting outside drinking coffee and saw the sign on the door. Conveniently located near hotels this little coffee shop is right on the edge of a building set back a little, easily missed. They have an outdoor seating area with plants. Nice place to sit and take a rest. I'm not a coffee drinker but the strawberry smoothie is seriously good, almost a dessert. Really smooth and rich tasting. I'm a Flight Attendant and thought living in Los Angeles was expensive...welcome to Java House Indianapolis. I paid $4.52 for a medium hot coffee...not a fancy latte...just a regular ole coffee! In L.A. even at expensive LAX airport the coffee is $3.95. I was shocked to see the coffee comes out of a beer type draft spout from under the counter. I didn't see a coffee machine in sight. The coffee tasted like instant coffee or some sort of vending machine coffee. It was literally the worst coffee I've ever had. I took one sip and ended up giving it to a homeless person outside to hopefully enjoy. The positives are their lobby and seating area is nice and the place is very clean. I hate to leave a bad review, but due to the very high price and subpar quality taste I would never come back! read more

First of all I want to say I have been to the Broad ripple, Carmel, and Fishers locations. Almost every one of my experiences have been really nice. The coffee is really good and the food is your typical coffee shop food. I love the atmosphere at all the Java locations and this new location is really cool. However, this evening I was excited to have my first visit to this location and was disappointed by a staff member. I don't remember her name but she had bleached eye brows. She was on her phone while I was ordering and felt unapproachable/rude. I think I'll stick to the other locations. read more
