An easy go to lunch spot downtown which features salads, wraps, and other specials. If you go enough, they'll know your order !

The three pasta dishes all very flavorful. The chocolate covered strawberry was a nice way to end the meal. Attention to detail was not missed from fun photo ops to a heart shaped jello on our aperol spritz. Chef Corrine came out and spoke about each dish. So great to hear about the incredible women running this place. Table decor was fun with heart shaped glasses at each spot. We for sure plan to attend next year!

Date of visit: March 27, 2026…read more This was our birthday dinner with our dear friend Jack; we had not been to Onesto in years and this was as good an opportunity as any to visit an old favorite. Despite the frigid temperatures, the place was very busy! Given that, we weren't able to be seated before our reservation time but that was fine, we hung out at the bar for a bit and the host grabbed us and guided us to our table with expert care. I do wish we didn't have the table closest to the door as there isn't a ton of places for folks to wait and they weren't always courteous about not leaving the door open for those of us already inside. But the window vantage point was nice, as was the birthday card signed by the staff (and I just realized that in our haste to hustle back the several blocks to our car, we forgot it at the table! We must seem so rude!). Ally was our server and she did the best she could with the general busyness at 715 on a Friday night. She did have some assistance with the food delivery by other staff, which I did appreciate as things took a while due to the aforementioned popularity of the restaurant. Food-wise, everything was very good overall but didn't quite stick the landing: - Clam chowder was creamy but a bit heavy on the parsley and not served with crackers. I really love that crunch of the oyster cracker with the cream of the soup. - Bolognese was a very generous portion and the short rib was excellent, but it needed just a little more sauce to keep everything moist. - The tiramisu was several layers and looked perfect, but while the marscapone was delicious, the booze flavor was way too strong for a teetotaler such as myself. Despite some opportunities, this was still a very wonderful meal!

The seasonal sangria was fresh tasting with forward notes of cherry. We started with the truffle cheese dip which was decadent. The pigs jb a blanket were nostalgic! The ahi aka yellowfin was served perfectly rare, the farro was such a great change up than the usual rice dishes. The pistachios were whole & a bit much, but they were easily omitted. The skillet cookie was the star of the show! Perfectly warm served with classic vanilla ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, our waitress was kind, knowledgeable, and did not make us feel rushed to order or leave while we were yapping. Looking forward to going back & trying more menu items!

My friend had the Edison burger which she loved. I had the cacio e pepe which I've heard great things about, but I fear it lacked a bit of flavor for me but it sufficed. Overall it was a nice experience though the menu is a bit limited to me, it has something for most!

Our server was attentive, checking in on us, making sure waters were full. The food came out very quickly - perhaps because we were the first there, but as we ate the restaurant filled up quickly. We ordered a plum soju to share, scallion pancakes with seafood, and entrees of Beef Galbi and Rice Cake Dumpling Soup. A small dish of spicy cucumber kimchi was served first which was free. The scallion pancakes was large and we chose to have seafood (vs kimchi) and we were so pleasantly impressed by the amount of seafood especially octopus which is my favorite in the pancake. The Beef Galbi came on a sizzling hot dish, and without the bone but in bite sized pieces with grilled veggies and a side of rice. It was just to my liking and just as delicious as other Galbi dishes I have had before. My husband enjoyed the soup which was very large and also included a side of purple rice. We have enjoyed many Korean food restaurants and this is a fancier restaurant that still served good tasting Korean food from what we ordered. Total for two people with drinks, appetizer and two entrees came out to the $90s including tax but not tip. I was pleasantly surprised by the dinner despite noted prior reviews, so if we're ever in the area again we will likely be back!

Overall a solid place that I think is worth checking out.

Only downside was that the chefs weren't as quick, with drinks and our app taking a good while but that was no fault of our server's. The KC egg rolls were extremely flavorful and had just the right amount of crunch. The shack sampler included 1/2 rack of ribs, burnt end sausage, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken breast (all tasted awesome). The sides were simple in execution but the flavor was top notch. The seating itself is divided amongst the standard indoor and outdoor seating, along with a covered tent that has fireplaces during the cold months. Was very comfortable outside despite freezing temperatures. All in all I highly recommend this place!

Service was good, pricing was fair, but I likely wouldn't return as there are better spots elsewhere.

This is our 3rd visit for our 3rd birthday spent here! Love the food and had excellent service this time with Javier! To start, we ordered the Truffle Lamb Keema Sliders and Gunpowder Calamari. The sliders were very tasty and the buns were nice a crispy to contrast the soft meat inside. I didn't really notice any truffle flavor, but the pickled onions were perfect for the meatiness of the lamb. A great start to our meal! The calamari was crunchy and served in such a cute lil pot. I was thinking that a dipped sauce would be nice, but there was a small spread across the bottom of the pot. I think it would have been nice on the side so I could dip each piece, and because there didn't seem to be much at all on the bottom. For my main, I got the Branzino Malabar Curry. It was a delicious fish with a nice pour over table-side presentation. Not spicy, but very flavorful and plenty of fish and sauce for each scoop of rice. M'lady got the Saffron Butter Chicken, a classic choice! The chicken was moist and flavorful, with big chunks being served. She ordered it with Butter Naan and enjoyed each handheld bite dipped in the rich sauce. As our past birthdays have been, we had an excellent meal on our visit. We did not receive a birthday treat, but I account that to me rushing the process to get on out of there, so no worries there. I fear I am running out of new items to try! Hopefully in the near future I can see some new items being introduced!

The minute we walked in, a man sitting next to the hostess--who appeared to be part of the restaurant, not a customer--just stared at us. No greeting, no smile... just staring. The hostess also seemed a bit confused when we walked in. She asked if we had reservations; we said no. Then she asked if a high-top table was fine, as if the restaurant were packed. We agreed, assuming there would be a long wait for a regular table. But as she led us over, there were plenty of regular tables available. So right off the bat, the vibe wasn't particularly welcoming. As for the service, the waitress did a great job with the welcome and checked on us at a perfect pace. We also liked the decor--plenty of cute design elements that would make for great photos and draw people in. The menu was well done too: not overwhelming, just the right amount of variety in each category. Honestly, this part is why I gave the place more stars than I probably should have. As for the food, it was just okay for us--though that may have been due to what we ordered. There were only two of us, and we got three dishes: shrimp fried rice, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. We thought that would give us a good variety. The food had good flavor, but all three dishes tasted very similar. If you try these same dishes elsewhere, the flavors are usually more distinct. I do wish we had tried more of the appetizers and drinks--maybe that would have changed our rating a bit.
