I came to this restaurant with my son for his 22nd birthday to my surprise they don't seem to respect people in their orders so I ordered the Henny sidecar when it came it was in a very small cup that was not like the lady that had one across from me I asked if they could replace it and instead the manager came with an attitude his name was Donnel (light skin bald head) and told me that he would not change it I was really upset and decided to cancel the whole order and left I just want to let you all know that if you come across this manager he is not very professional and he should not be doing that job. Just to update-- My fiancé wanted to give Jasper's another go. I was hesitant given our last trip but it was a random Thursday mid day so I figured, what's the harm? We came in and out our name on the list and waited about 10mins. Our server Lauren, who is absolutely fantastic and very lovely, came over quickly and introduced herself. She was pleasant and got our orders brought out just they way we asked. The food was perfect! The sweet potato casserole (although super sweet) is the bomb. The hush puppies are really good to. Drinks are always worth it since they use alcohol -I say that because a lot of restaurants use a premixed drink mix that has very minimal alcohol in it but still charge an a ridiculous price. Since we moved here 3 years ago, this has been our favorite neighborhood restaurant and we've frequented it at least twice a month. They've managed takeout well during Covid, but the indoor dining post reopening is a disaster. The last couple of times we went we were quoted a wait time of over 2 hrs. Ridiculous. Get on Opentable, accept reservations and look out for your loyal customers. Opentable will charge the customer if they don't show. Use the waitlist here on Yelp. I shows where the customer is in line. I Ubered and am currently standing in heels waiting for a two hour table. We've ordered honey bbq wings and Southwest egg rolls for carryout from Jasper's before a couple of months ago. Wings were ok but I wasn't oohing and ahhing over it. Egg rolls were horrible. My boyfriend was in the mood for some good restaurant food last so Jasper's came to mind for him. I wasn't too sure because I wasn't really impressed. Also, I started keto since we last ordered so I figured my options would be very limited. We went last night and the lot was pretty packed. I was surprised for a Monday night. We sat at the bar. I realized they do a late night happy hour so I saw why so many people were there. Service started out slow. Our server took a little while to get to our table but it was ok because we were still being indecisive about our appetizer. We eventually started with traditional buffalo wings. They were sooo good!! The buffalo sauce was good and spicy and they serve this peppery ranch dressing with it. I was impressed. I think someone heard my keto prayers because they serve cauliflower mash!! I was shocked when I saw it came with the Short Smoked Salmon. My God!! Soooo good! Not everyone knows how to give cauliflower some flavor but they did with perfection! I wanted to save for leftovers but I couldn't stop and ate it all. Loved it! There is a large parking lot on the sides of the restaurant. We initially wanted to dine here for brunch but since it was a Sunday afternoon there was a long wait for a table. When I checked in the hostess told me that there would be a 40 minute wait and at that time they would be serving dinner. While waiting in the large waiting area we heard the hostess calling out a name that did not sound like mine multiple times. When she called for last call for that particular name I went to the desk and she advised us that she had been calling my name. We all agreed that we heard her another name and not mine. There is a large dining area and bar inside of the restaurant. The business was decorated with Christmas decor throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was not too enthusiastic and she accidentally spilled a portion of the fries that she brought to our table. We immediately brought out a new order of fries. I asked her if she was ok and she said that she didn't get much sleep last night because she worked late. She did not check on us after she brought our food until we called her over. I ordered the Spicy shrimp and chicken pasta with broccoli, mushrooms and cheese. It was really flavorful and had just enough kick to it. The portion was large and was served with toasted bread. I was able to take a to-go back home with me. I asked if they do anything for birthdays and we were given three birthday muffins. The muffins themselves were bland and were topped with whipped cream and sauce. We did not enjoy them. The food was good but the service could have been better. read more

Not sure how this place has a 4.1. The customer service I received last night at the Largo location was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. After putting our name on the list and were told the wait was 15 min. We waited 45 min. When we asked when we would be seated they got an attitude and stated the next seating would be ours. Well, that didn't happen. Several people continued to be seated before us. The manager was the worst. He just pretty much stood their well his staff popped off at the mouth at me. They all should be fired. I hope that Mr. Fred Rosenthal reads this and corrects this type of unprofessional behavior at his establishment. read more

This place is a wonderful place in PG county and reminds me of what Chocolate City use to be! I've been here three times in the past two months. Great casual place for drinks, food, people watching (attractive men and women), and catching a game on the screen. Wednesday night here includes happy hour all night at the bar area and the high top tables! I recommend the Tiger wings, Tiger shrimp, and the Shrimp & Crab cocktail with a side of bread to dip in the sauce... yummy!!! The rolls are good too. Don't order the cupcakes. My server was amazing, friendly and extremely personable! She made great recommendations and I went right along with her suggestion. I ordered the crab eggrolls and was ready to run laps around that place. They are a must have! I also ordered the bacon cheeseburger and basically took it to go as those eggrolls hit the spot! I will never stay away from Jasper's again. Timing is everything as it gets crowded the later it gets but it is definitely worth the wait! We returned to the waiting area to wait for seating as there was no open bar seating. The food we got was hot and good but like I said the food is decent but you gotta play Russian Roulette with the service. My favorite meal here in is the chicken fingers and fries. Seen this restaurant on Tik Tok. This restaurant is serving curbside, dine in or takeout. ALL employees and ALL patrons are wearing face masks while in the building unless seated in a booth. Appetizers were Cinco Latin egg rolls cut in halves; Bone in chicken wings, flavors half Old Bay & half Spicy tiger. 1 cousin had Jamaican steak, sauteed green & red peppers and onions with side of rice. The other cousin had Fried seafood platter ( 1 crab cake, 1 fish, fries, shrimp. My Mom had the Louisiana shrimp & grits AND cheeseburger and fries. We all choose soft drinks, water, coffee no alcohol. All food came out together however they forgot the egg rolls. The service Darius forgot to put the order in. Strike 1. I had the Appetizers wings as my meal. Amazing!!! The wings were hot and fresh. I never had neither Old Bay or Spicy tiger wings. Both were perfect. Will definitely get those again. Everyone agreed they would order those wings on the next visit. Jamaican steak was too spicy for cousin. The seafood platter was excellent. That was actually crab meat, no filler. Sent back to kitchen. So she basically ate French fries. Strike 2. Checks came informed waiter to not charge for the 2 meals not to satisfaction. Paid individually. I paid for my meal and bottled water. Gave card to pay, went to restroom. Came back to discovered I was overcharged almost $14 extra. I immediately asked for manager. By now I'm totally pissed off, messed up food, and now I'm having a back & forth conversation about the overcharges. He insisted my bill was correct. However, before I left the table I took a picture of the check the waiter gave me with $29 for the wing.and $3 something for the bottled water. NOT the $44 they are attempting to collect as payment. About 10 minutes later he showed me a cancel transaction of $43 and new purchase of $31. Strike 3. Beautiful place, amazing food minus the undercooked burger and uneaten grits AND the overcharges. I was in the Largo area last night and had a craving for something seafood based for take out, so I asked my friend where I should eat and she recommended Jasper's. It was busy on a Friday night In terms of the amount of people at the restaurant but it only took 15 minutes for my food to be cooked. I had the stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes and string beans. The shrimp was different in terms of the coating that was used but it was pretty good. I gave it 4 stars only because I would've loved more crab meat in my shrimp. read more
