When I tried to explain to her that this was against health policies, she proceeded to tell me about how many years she has worked in the food industry and bar tending. The food here was so good. I ordered the Ceaser salad that was so flavorful and the salmon was a great portion. I attended with friends who ordered various apps that were pretty flavorful as well. The establishment seem to have a great turnout because it was packed on a Monday night. I hear it gets even better around the weekends. Let me just say I was not expecting the food to be as good as it was. No complaints here because everything we had was beyond delicious. Yelp you definitely need to update your closing time for them because Friday nights they stay open until 1am and I'm so glad I checked the website. We walked in and definitely got a vibe with the music playing and the restaurant itself was giving off a NOLA vibe to go with the food. The bar was packed and now I know why because the drinks are on point without a doubt. No watered down drinks here baby. We tried to tune them but it was hard. Can you believe we were ignored for like 10 to 15 minutes? Servers by passed us then finally we flagged someone down who basically was like somewhat bothered. She took our drink orders and apps . She said shell find our who our server was. 10 minutes later.. total of 25 min later we get our drinks. Our waiter makes a grand appearance. He said he didn't know we were here. Interesting. He takes our order and disappears. Then appears with rolls... He come back and says the cook messed up our order and it will be another 10 minutes. This restaurant was recommended by a co-worker and I have finally visited here last Sunday for brunch buffer and it did not disappoint! They have an omelette station with chef that cook for you, fajita station, breakfast food such as waffle, french toast, bacon and they also have a section for dessert and fruits! Everything tastes good, the set up was neat and sanitary. The servers are really nice and accommodating! I love the ambiance of this place. The Sunday brunch could get really busy though so plan to go early! They open at 10:00am, we made sure to go before they open and even before 10am there was already a line. And that's when you know the food is really good! The brunch buffet was $26 and includes drinks such as coffee, juices and soda. The wife & I come to Jasper's when we're in town, we always have a good time but it's just 2 of us at them times. But last night we're all in town for the Cowboys vs Commanders Game/ friends Birthday dinner. We couldn't make reservations for a party of 12, they don't do reservations. So we all had to just show up. Let me set the scene for you (boom) we get to Jasper's at 7:30pm 11 of us and check in. Sets scene: (Birthday Crew consist of; School Teachers, Pharmacist, Human Resource Manger, a Soldier, a Paralegal & Manufacturing Spvr, ICU Nurse, Paralegal, let alone Birthday Girl is a DELTA & beloved school counselor. 35 & over crew) 1 of the friends came a little earlier to check in, so we had 2 waiting to be called for seating orders. Off top the the hostess/ or people up front try to deter us from waiting, talking about it's gonna be a long wait. We like it's cool we go to bar & get some drinks since the waiting area was full already. While we at bar we see a whole area their not using at all (take note of that) so we get drinks & chill then we see 1 big party go in for seating, that cleared the waiting area out. We go back to sit down & chill. So we noticed that big party was seated in the open area we were talking about earlier plus it was more room over there. The birthday girl go check on our seating after about hour 15 minutes later & 1 of the hostess just walked away from her while she was talking to her. (Take note of that) We almost went to Outback Steakhouse due to that but "Birthday Girl" wanted to stay. So around 9:30 they come to us and tell us they have to split the party of 12 up in 6 & 6. We agreed so we could get in we're all starving. Didn't like it but we agreed thinking we would be seated near each other. When we get seated they tell us 1 group will be here & the other group will be on other side of restaurant, that didn't fly. As we're sitting the Birthday Girl ask for the manager, so the manager came & the disrespectful hostess stayed for the conversation. That's when the Birthday Girl a.k.a. Delta read that hostess in front of the manager. Told him about them trying to split our party of 12 up, the long wait & the hostess walking away from her while she was inquiring about our table. All this was new to him, he ended up seating us in the same area I said earlier that was empty & just right for a big party of patrons to sit. 9:45pm we ordering Appetizers, Drinks & Entree's. Waiter seemed good look like as we ordered he was compartmentalizing the orders, he was not. After eating we're waiting for checks, he came back around and asked who had what. Cool, getting it in order, then said he gotta get with manager to break orders down. 30 mins later he come back with receipts they're correct but dang 30 minutes! All in all don't do "big parties " there, big restaurant but no ready for big parties. There's more ppl working the door than serving food. You don't need 5 ppl at front door. All that restaurant there use it all. They updated the Men's bathroom. Great job it was needed. We don't feel enough was done about rude worker or the extreme wait time. They could of at least brought a birthday slice out for the birthday girl for that long wait. Just show empathy. When it's needed. Great food, great drinks & good music. We couldn't really enjoy the vibe of the music this time due to the long waiting, it really changed our mood. We suppose to went to DC to a Hookah lounge after dinner, but after leaving dinner it was 11:45pm, we spent over 4hrs there. Some of us went back to the hotel & some kept the party going. So like many of the other places i have reviewed, I ventured to this spot due to some friends recommendations. I have now been twice and I keep going on game days meaning it's fairly busy. I love the atmosphere very bar/restaurant type vibe. The bar area feels like a bar and the areas outside the bar very much feel like a restaurant. The first time I went there were about 10 of us 5 showed up at one time then another 5 later and they allowed us to grab two booths back to back to keep us close together. I appreciated that. I ordered a burger and mac & cheese with an LIT (Long Island Iced Tea). The burger was good, the LIT was better but the mac & cheese was a slight disappointment. If you've read my other reviews this is an important menu item for me. None the less our waiter was fantastic I wish I remembered his name. The second time around I sat at the bar with a friend had a good experience with the bar staff! They were charismatic, quick, and a polite to talk to. There was a shorter woman with dreads working and a taller man with short dreads (I believe). They were both outstanding. We had a few more friends show up and we finally got seated at our table. Devonte is the reason for 3 stars vs 4 or 5 stars. His customer service was bare minimum almost to the point where I thought he was avoiding eye contact and our table altogether. I think our bill came out in total to be around $200 after ordering a few drinks, shots, and meals . My friend tipped him before he should have and we had to track him down every time after that. After being frustrated I finally asked for his name to make sure I included it here and could get his attention even through other waiters. I will be back because 3/4 waiters have been nothing far from amazing but I will avoid Devonte's section. read more

So let's go down the line up: Crab egg rolls- They were amazing, it is like a mixture of crab dip and a crab cake combined into a crispy egg roll. 10/10 Spicy Tiger Wings- my husband attempted to act like they were just "okay" ... until I tasted them and I knew he was a complete fraud. Perfect crunch and sauce for the wings. 10/10 Spicy chicken & shrimp pasta- it was good but it is one of those pasta dishes that taste better the next day with reheating. 8/10 Jambalaya over rice: this was also a good dish. My first time at Jasper's was not so good. First we were not greeted at the hostess stand. We stood there and no one spoke or welcomed up. They talked amongst themselves and then someone said follow me. Then it took our waiter a while to come Back to take our order. Mind you it was not super busy. We placed our order between 6:00-6:15. We did not get our food until after 7:00pm. I order wings and salad for me and grill cheese and fries for my daughter. The table next to us arrived after us, received their food and finished before we received our food. I don't know what the mixed up was or what happened but by the time I received our food I had lost my appetite. No explanation! I immediately asked for to go boxes because we had to get home. We didn't received the check until about 20 minutes after. My daughter didn't received her dessert until after 7:30pm. I can't even rate the food because I had to reheat it when I got home. First time here but definitely not the last! My husband dined here about 2 hours ago. After a 15 minute wait we were seated. The crowd was lively, everyone enjoying themselves. We looked over our menus while watching for our waitperson. After 15 minutes of no one coming to our table my husband asked a passing waitperson to find ours. Dwayne said he'd be glad to help us . We ordered the Latino egg rolls, i ordered the blackened salmon and grits and my husband ordered the broiled seafood platter. Dwayne amazingly took our order as our drink order without writing anything down. I order Tito's with a splash of cranberry and my husband ordered an old fashioned. Dwayne promptly brought fresh rolls to our table and placed our plates and utensils before us instead of just putting them on the table and moving on. Our drinks were on point Strong and good!
